Chapter 1046

Elizabeth choked up for a moment, then swallowed, "What?"

Lila was drinking milk and noticed Elizabeth's strange expression. She curiously asked, "What's wrong? Is it Alexander?"

Elizabeth nodded and said to the person on the other end of the phone, "I'm with Lila, it's not convenient."

"Got it." With that, Alexander hung up the phone.

Elizabeth paused. She looked at the ended call and then looked at Lila meaningfully, wanting to say something but hesitating.

Lila was puzzled, "Is he coming over?"

Elizabeth gave a wry smile, "How did you know?"

Lila was speechless.

"Whatever, we'll just do our thing," Lila said.

Elizabeth nodded and then asked, "Where are we going later? I didn't make any plans."

"Funny, I didn't make any plans either," Lila said, half-laughing, half-crying.

Elizabeth never had the habit of making plans. Lila was used to following others.

So this time, they were just going to wing it.

After resting in the morning, they went to a nearby mall and bought a lot of luxury goods and jewelry.

Spending money always put people in a good mood, so in the afternoon, they went to the zoo.

Along the way, they kept taking pictures of each other, ignoring the looks from others. Even if someone recognized them, they didn't care.

Elizabeth felt what it meant to be relaxed. The tension she had been carrying for years was relieved at that moment.

In the evening, they went to a bar. This was their usual activity; they liked to have a drink no matter where they were.

There were many bars in Coral Harbor, and at night they were filled with handsome men and beautiful women.

Elizabeth sipped her drink, watching the crowd sway on the dance floor, her lips curling into a smile.

Lila laughed at her friend's obvious enjoyment. "You haven't blinked in five minutes."

Elizabeth turned to Lila and leaned in closer to be heard over the music.

"hat? I'm just making sure every girl gets a fair shot at finding someone!"

Lila rolled her eyes.

If any of these girls actually hit on Elizabeth, she'd probably freeze in panic.

Elizabeth took a sip of her drink. The place was lively, with people from all over, making it especially bustling.

Someone came to chat with Lila, and Elizabeth watched the fun.

Lila politely declined every man's request. But if a fan came over for a photo, she would still agree.

Elizabeth was curious, "Aren't you afraid someone will make a big deal out of you being at a bar?"

Lila was puzzled, "What's the big deal? I'm not pretending to be pure. I just like to have a drink. What's wrong with that?"

Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh, "What if your fans are worried you'll do something crazy after drinking?"

"I won't," Lila snorted.

Elizabeth looked serious, "Look, you only drink when you're with me. When you're out in public, you need to keep it together. Be careful of doing something crazy after drinking!"

"I won't!" Lila exclaimed, practically yelling in Elizabeth's ear.

Elizabeth nodded, hoping she wouldn't.

Be careful not to get into trouble one day.

As they talked, Elizabeth caught sight of a familiar figure out of the corner of her eye.

Elizabeth looked towards the center of the dance floor and couldn't help but frown.

Lila noticed Elizabeth staring and nudged her playfully. "What's up? See a cute guy or something? Want me to go get his number for you?"

Elizabeth quickly shook her head.

Lila and Elizabeth both looked towards the dance floor.

Elizabeth muttered under her breath, "I think I just saw..."

"Saw what?"

The bar was too loud, the music blaring, and Lila couldn't make out what she'd said.

Elizabeth leaned in closer. "Lila, I swear I just saw Kieran!"

Lila almost choked on her drink.

She nearly spit out her drink.

She stared at Elizabeth in disbelief. "Wait, what? Kieran? Are you serious?"

Elizabeth nodded seriously, "Yes."
