Chapter 982

Alexander was dressed in black casual wear, with a long black down coat over it. He looked very relaxed and warm.

Elizabeth's face froze; she hadn't expected Alexander to greet her directly.

She pressed her lips together, deliberately lowered her voice, and nodded, "Hello."

Compared to her usual speaking voice, it was obviously deeper and a bit rough.

This voice was particularly incongruous with the half of her face that was exposed.

Alexander squinted; this voice indeed surprised him a bit.

But the figure and height of the woman in front of him felt very familiar.

"Are you tonight's racer?" he asked.

Elizabeth nodded coldly, not saying another word.

"I heard Steve will also be racing tonight." He walked up to Elizabeth and looked towards the test track.

"Are you a fan of Steve?" Elizabeth asked calmly, her voice still lowered.

He smiled at Elizabeth and suddenly said, "Didn't you just say you were Steve?"

Elizabeth's face instantly froze.

How did he hear that?

How did she not notice there were others behind her just now?

Alexander stared straight at Elizabeth, trying to discern something from the corners of her lips.

She leaned calmly against the car, smiling slightly, "I was just teasing them. How could I be Steve?"

Alexander smirked and continued, "What if you are? How about we take a photo together?"

Why did he want a photo now?

He never seemed to like watching car races before.

Elizabeth turned her head, trying her best not to let him see her face clearly, "I'm really not. I'm just here for fun."

Fortunately, the lighting at the test track wasn't very bright, and with her hat and sunglasses, her face was quite blurry from Alexander's angle.

But Alexander's gaze was too intense. When he looked at Elizabeth, it was like he was staring at prey, sharp as a knife.

Just as he took out his phone, insisting on taking a photo, and Elizabeth was feeling a bit helpless.

She heard someone call her from behind, "Delphine Waverly!"

Elizabeth's eyes lit up at the sound, and she immediately called out, "I'm here."

It was Callum!

Callum was dressed in black, with a coat draped over his arm.

Alexander watched as Callum walked up to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth took the opportunity to link arms with Callum.

At this moment, Callum looked at Alexander opposite Elizabeth and asked in confusion, "Who is this?"

Alexander squinted, seeing the two standing together, they oddly looked quite compatible.

He thought he might have been a bit impulsive.

How could this person be Elizabeth?

He had called Elizabeth before coming, and she said she was working late at the research institute tonight.

He didn't think Elizabeth would lie to him.

"Don't know him. He insisted on taking a photo with me. Are you jealous?" Elizabeth quickly moved closer to Callum, her voice a bit softer, not as harsh as before.

But it still didn't sound like Elizabeth's voice.

Callum instantly got into character, "Men these days see a single pretty woman and just pounce. Are they crazy?"

"Sir, whoever you are, leave immediately. This is my girlfriend!"

Callum's outburst was quite genuine. Elizabeth was taken aback.

She had always treated these young men at home as kids, but now she realized they had quite a bit of fire in them; they had all grown up.

Alexander felt ashamed and nodded, "I'm really sorry."
