Chapter 1124
Winford immediately got into the car, and everything around was silent.
The car stopped at the entrance of the warehouse, and soon someone got out.
Winford opened his laptop and used high-tech equipment to see the person's face in the dark.
At the same time, Oliver said, "Is that Mr. Tudor?"
There was some doubt in Oliver's voice.
Winford quickly closed the laptop and got out of the car.
He went straight to Alexander and grabbed his arm.
Alexander cautiously looked at Winford, ready to make a move, but then he heard Winford say, "It's me, Mr. Tudor."
Only then did Alexander realize it was Winford and felt relieved.
"Did you come alone?" Winford asked Alexander.
Alexander nodded.
"When did you get here, and why didn't you tell me?" Alexander asked, puzzled.
"It wasn't convenient. I brought people with me. We will rescue the Boss," Winford said.
Alexander frowned, "But Valentin is in there."
"You've also found out his identity," Winford said to Alexander.
Alexander nodded and continued, "The people from Dream City are not easy to deal with, Winford. We need to be careful."
Winford smiled.
For some reason, Winford felt an inexplicable hostility towards Alexander.
"Mr. Tudor, I know how to handle this. After all, whenever anything has happened to my Boss over the years, I've always been by her side."
Alexander looked at him.
In Winford's words, Alexander heard a lot of disdain.
Yes, Alexander, as a husband, had never been able to be there in time whenever his wife was in danger.
He was kidnapped, Elizabeth risked her life to save him, and when she sank to the bottom of the sea, it was Winford who saved her.
Elizabeth was pushed into the pool, barely alive, and he left with Esme. It was also Winford who saved Elizabeth.
Faced with all this, Alexander could only respond, "I'm sorry."
"What's the use of your apology? If you really love her, this is your chance to show your true feelings," Winford said, looking at the warehouse.
"Mr. Tudor, I will only give you this one chance to save her," Winford smiled.
Alexander was a bit dazed.
What Winford meant was.
"I'll help you. I only ask that you treat my Boss better in the future," Winford's eyes were deep.
The night was dark, but Alexander could feel the seriousness in Winford's words.
"Do you like..." he began.
Winford immediately interrupted, "If I liked her, would it be your turn? We are more like family."
Alexander gave a bitter smile.
So many people in this world liked Elizabeth, and so many people could protect her. Yet, Elizabeth chose him, and he didn't cherish her.
Alexander used to think he was the most powerful person in the world, but now he realized he was the most ridiculous one.
"I will treat her well," Alexander patted Winford's shoulder, like a promise between two men.
It was also a tacit understanding between two people who deeply loved Elizabeth.
Winford explained the situation inside to Alexander.
Alexander said, "The other adult and child inside are Mr. Hagen and his son. These two have met Elizabeth a few times. Elizabeth saved him."
"You know them?" Winford asked.
Alexander nodded.
"According to the police, Valentin sexually assaulted Mr. Hagen's wife years ago. He had been obsessed with her and attempted to force her into marriage. Unable to cope with the trauma and violation, she took her own life. Mr. Hagen and Valentin have been bitter enemies ever since."
