Chapter 992

"Are you provoking me?" Alexander's expression grew serious.

Elizabeth shrugged, indicating she didn't mean to.

Nolan chuckled quietly from behind.

Seeing the two of them joking around like this made him feel relieved.

It seemed their Alexander wasn't beyond redemption after all.

"I'm not. Have you decided whether to come in or not?" Elizabeth shrugged, already stepping aside to welcome him in.

Of course, Alexander had to go in. How could he run away? Elizabeth would never let him live it down.

"I'm going in!" he said firmly.

Elizabeth smiled, "Then you won't have a chance to run away."

"I just have one request." Alexander still sounded a bit pleading.

Elizabeth squinted, what?

"When I can't handle it, help me out," he said humbly.

Elizabeth didn't know why, but seeing this contrasting side of Alexander made her want to laugh.

Maybe deep down, Alexander was always like this, and his invulnerability was just a facade.

Compared to the deliberately serious and cold Alexander, she really liked this contrasting side of him.

"Alright, I'll help you," Elizabeth nodded, "But I have a request too."

"What is it?" He would do his best to fulfill it.

"Leandro McCall is releasing a new handbag, limited to one worldwide."

Alexander immediately raised his hand and made an "OK" gesture.

Did he still not understand what she meant?

It was just a handbag, big deal?

Alexander turned to look at Nolan, his cold gaze seemingly asking, "Do I need to repeat myself?"

Nolan shook his head, no need, he would take care of it as soon as he put down the things.

"Let's go," Elizabeth led the way.

Passing by a mirror, she looked at Alexander through it, her lips curling into a secret smile.

The handbag wasn't important; she just wanted to tease him. Spending his money wasn't a bad thing either.

Elizabeth led Alexander and Nolan to Celine and Grant.

"Grandpa, Grandma." Alexander put down the things and stood in front of Celine and Grant, standing tall and not daring to slack off.

He was very proper and dignified.

Celine scrutinized Alexander, not speaking for a long time.

Grant poured a cup of coffee and pushed it towards Alexander, "Have a seat."

Celine heard this and glared at Grant. Her cold gaze fell on Alexander. Compared to Grant's formal attire, she was dressed more casually.

"Sit? Is he going to stay here for a long time? Isn't he just here to say hello and leave?"

Alexander immediately stopped moving.

Nolan glanced at Alexander and decisively turned to leave. This ordeal, Alexander had to endure on his own; he couldn't help him.

"Since he's already here, let him sit," Grant's attitude was better than Celine's.

Celine then looked at Alexander. Her intense gaze made Alexander anxious; he didn't know whether he should sit or not.

Elizabeth herself felt the tension in the air.

This was even more awkward than when Declan had Alexander stay for dinner a few days ago.

Elizabeth couldn't help but remind Alexander, "Grandma didn't say anything else, so she means you can sit."

Elizabeth tugged at Alexander's sleeve and sat down on the sofa next to him.
