Chapter 1048
"Then what do you think?" Kieran downed the drink in his glass.
Alexander pursed his lips, his expression indifferent. "I definitely won't just let it go. What is she thinking?"
Kieran chuckled. 'Good, it's still the same Alexander.'
If Alexander didn't let go, it would be difficult for Elizabeth.
But it was quite surprising that Elizabeth and Alexander had come to this point. Elizabeth used to like Alexander so much; she would do anything for him.
But now that Alexander was actually pursuing her, she was the one pushing him away.
It just went to show that some wounds were hard to heal once they'd formed.
This pain was Alexander's doing, and now it was something he would have to endure.
"Those two together are like a walking magnet," Kieran remarked, looking downstairs.
Since Kieran arrived, he had lost count of how many people had approached them for drinks or conversation.
Alexander watched with feigned indifference, but his grip on the glass tightened.
Some guy was practically whispering in Elizabeth's ear, and she wasn't even backing away. When did she become so comfortable with strangers in her personal space?
"You're really bothered, aren't you?" Kieran noticed Alexander's tension.
Alexander turned his head and scoffed, "Why would I be bothered?"
Kieran smirked.
How could Alexander not be bothered? Any man who got within five feet of Elizabeth sent him into protective mode!
He didn't buy Alexander's act for a second.
"Should I go tell them to leave that table alone?" Kieran was about to get up.
Alexander shook his head. "Forget it."
"If suddenly no one approaches them, they might find it strange. They're out to have fun, let them be." Alexander had no intention of interfering.
Kieran squinted. "You're still looking out for her, aren't you?"
"What else can I do? I'm really frustrated, okay?" Alexander muttered, seemingly on the verge of breaking down.
Kieran just gave Alexander's shoulder a sympathetic squeeze, silently telling him to cool off since getting worked up wouldn't solve anything.
Suddenly, the door to the private room opened.
Kieran and Alexander turned their heads to see the manager pushing in a cart of drinks, smiling and saying, "Mr. Tudor, Mr. Getty! We just heard you were here. Not sure what's going on today, but we have so many celebrities in our place. These drinks are complimentary. Please let us know if you need anything else!"
With that, the manager instructed the staff to set the drinks down.
Kieran smiled. "That's really generous of you. We're just hanging out, no need for the free drinks. We'll take care of our tab. And by the way," Kieran pointed to Elizabeth and Lila's table downstairs, "add their bill to ours as well."
The manager glanced down and said, "You mean Ms. Percy and her friend? Their tab has already been covered."
What?
The manager smiled. "Many people are eager to pay for them. It seems you know them well, but this time you missed the chance."
Kieran and Alexander exchanged a look and fell silent.
So many people eager to pay for them.
Elizabeth and Lila sitting together were indeed very eye-catching.
"Alright, thank you," Kieran nodded.
The manager then asked, "Mr. Tudor, Mr. Getty, can I get you gentlemen some company tonight?"
Hearing this, Kieran was about to jump up. "We're just here for drinks, thanks!"
