Chapter 142

The clerk frowned at Elizabeth, clearly suspicious. "Are you dreaming?" she asked.

Elizabeth had never been asked that before.

"Stop daydreaming about buying everything." Kelly mocked.

Elizabeth glanced around and sighed, "Just a rough guess, buying this whole store would cost tens of millions."

Kelly pursed her lips, eyeing Elizabeth. Given how broke Elizabeth seemed, she probably couldn't afford even one bag, yet she was claiming she'd buy the entire store.

Kelly rolled her eyes, crossed her arms, and said sarcastically, "Are you out of your mind? Need to step outside and clear your head?"

The clerk tried to calm Kelly down. "Ms. King, please wait in the VIP room. I'll handle her and bring you our latest arrivals."

"Okay." Kelly nodded, glaring at Elizabeth.

Kelly thought, 'That pauper pretended to be wealthy. If she can buy the whole store, I'll write my name backward!'

Just as Kelly was about to leave, Elizabeth pulled out a black card from her wallet. The card gleamed under the light. "Is this enough?" she asked coldly.

The clerk and Kelly were stunned.

Even if they were inexperienced, they knew what a black card meant!

It was a symbol of immense wealth, only given to those with a net worth of over a hundred million dollars in Lisbun.

"Swipe it," Elizabeth said, slapping the card into the clerk's hand and sitting on a nearby sofa, exuding confidence.

She even wrung the water from her clothes onto the floor.

The clerk was stunned, her face pale.

Elizabeth looked up and pointed at Kelly, saying lightly, "Whatever this lady likes, I, a so-called wanderer, will buy it for her."

Kelly's face darkened, feeling utterly humiliated.

The black card in the clerk's hand felt like a hot potato, leaving her at a loss.

'She can really afford it? She is rich?' the clerk thought.

Elizabeth smiled at the two stunned people in front of her. "Any other questions?"

"Could this card be fake??" Kelly doubted.

The clerk immediately nodded. Elizabeth looked so disheveled, how could she be rich?

Elizabeth sneered, stood up, and walked up to Kelly. "Fake? Open your eyes and take a good look. I am Elizabeth Percy of the Percy family!"

The Percy family had billions in assets; she wouldn't need a fake card!

Upon hearing Elizabeth reveal her identity, the clerk took two steps back, shocked. 'What? She was Elizabeth? The most favored daughter of the Percy family, and the wife of Alexander from the Tudor Group?'

Kelly looked Elizabeth up and down, eyes filled with disbelief. How could the daughter of the Percy family be in such a sorry state?

Elizabeth crossed her arms, staring coldly and disdainfully at the clerk and Kelly.

The clerk gulped and quickly bowed in apology. "Ms. Percy, I was blind, I'm sorry!"

"No need to apologize. A 'homeless person' like me indeed doesn't deserve to walk into such a noble store. If it weren't for the rain, I wouldn't have lost my mind and walked into such a low-class store." Elizabeth raised an eyebrow, then smiled faintly at the two. "I won't come back again; consider this a lesson learned."

With that, Elizabeth glanced at Kelly.
