Chapter 126
Elizabeth furrowed her brows and whispered, "Are you threatening me?"
Ethan and Sophie quickly stood up to see them off.
The door to the private room was kicked shut, isolating the two from the others. Alexander looked down at the woman in his arms, his gaze turning cold. "As long as you know."
Elizabeth tried to break free, but Alexander only held her tighter.
Elizabeth frowned, realizing something. "The Tudor Group doesn't even need that land. Are you targeting Joseph on purpose?"
"Targeting? He's not worth it!" His voice was icy.
"Let go of me!" Elizabeth glared at him.
Alexander ignored her and pressed the elevator button. A passing waiter saw Alexander and greeted him respectfully. "Mr. Tudor."
"Hurry up and let go!" Elizabeth was frustrated.
The elevator doors opened, and Elizabeth was finally released.
But before she could straighten her clothes, he pinned her against the corner.
Alexander, taller than her, blocked all the light. He frowned, his expression serious and filled with unspoken anger.
Elizabeth knew he was angry because she spoke up for Joseph.
Even though he didn't love her, he wouldn't allow his wife to do things for another man. He felt it trampled on his dignity, challenging his bottom line!
No one pressed the elevator button, so it remained stationary.
Elizabeth pursed her lips and explained, "I was just putting in a good word for a friend. I didn't know you were competing with Joseph for that land."
"Now you know." He stared into her eyes, waiting to hear what else she had to say for Joseph.
Elizabeth looked up, glaring at Alexander. "Yeah. So what?"
They were on the brink of divorce. How could he repeatedly bully her so aggressively?
Seeing her stubborn face, Alexander almost laughed.
He stepped forward, his throat tightening, and whispered, "You spoke up for him knowing I was competing with him."
Elizabeth gave him a mocking smile.
The faint light above occasionally swept across her face, and as she raised her brows, her delicate features caught Alexander's eye.
Elizabeth asked assertively, "I spoke up for him, so Mr. Tudor, are you jealous?"
Alexander pressed his lips together, looking at her slightly parted red lips, feeling frustrated.
"You're not even worth my jealousy!" He gritted his teeth.
Elizabeth's beautiful face dimmed a bit.
She indeed wasn't worth his jealousy. Because jealousy required love, and he didn't have any for her.
"Then who I speak up for has nothing to do with you. Why are you angry?" Elizabeth raised her brows, her tone light and playful, looking incredibly charming.
Alexander snorted, indifferent. "We haven't publicly announced our divorce yet. Mrs. Tudor, if you publicly do things for another man, people will laugh at me!"
Elizabeth nodded, pretending to understand. "Mr. Tudor, so you're afraid people will think I'm having an affair."
Alexander gritted his teeth, hearing her say, "Then why don't I really have an affair?"
Elizabeth shook her head, twirling her hair, her eyes filled with provocation.
Elizabeth's cold attitude was infuriating.
Alexander clenched his fists, his pupils hiding a cold glint. He almost gritted his back teeth as he warned her, "Elizabeth, don't you dare!"
The elevator doors suddenly opened, and a guest was about to enter but paused upon seeing Alexander.
Alexander, filled with anger, vent them on the man. "Get out!"
