Chapter 1112
"Winford, can you help me find out who took Esme from the hospital? Where is she now?"
There was a few seconds of silence from Winford's side, then he asked, "What's going on?"
"Just in case."
"Are you worried she might come after you or Mr. Tudor?"
"Yes."
Winford thought for a moment and said, "Alright, I'll check it out now. Wait for my update."
The call ended.
Elizabeth pointed to one of the men's watches, "Wrap this up for me, please. Thank you."
The clerk quickly came over, smiling, "Ms. Percy, you have a great eye. This watch just arrived this afternoon, and our store is the only one in Lisbun that has it. It's one of a kind!"
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow.
"Are you giving this to Mr. Tudor?" the clerk asked with a smile while wrapping the watch.
Elizabeth nodded.
The news of her and Alexander's announcement was still causing a stir everywhere, so it wasn't surprising the clerk asked.
Elizabeth sat on the sofa, her gaze fixed outside.
There was no one, but for some reason, she felt like someone had been watching her since she started eating.
Elizabeth frowned, wondering if she was being too sensitive.
Elizabeth's phone rang; it was a call from Alexander.
"I'm at the mall, on the fifth floor, waiting for you in a luxury store," Elizabeth said.
"Okay, got it." Alexander hung up the phone.
The clerk handed the wrapped watch to Elizabeth, "Here you go, Ms. Percy, your watch is ready."
Elizabeth nodded, "I'll rest here for a bit."
The clerk quickly served coffee and water.
After all, she had spent so much, there was no reason not to let Elizabeth rest.
Time passed by, and as Elizabeth was leisurely drinking coffee and reading the news, she suddenly heard someone shout outside, "The mall is on fire!"
"The mall is on fire!"
Within three seconds, the entire mall was filled with the piercing sound of alarms.
Elizabeth and the clerk looked outside and saw thick smoke billowing up from below.
Elizabeth was momentarily stunned.
The clerk quickly went to look outside.
The fire had started on the fourth floor, and the sales associate quickly said to Elizabeth, "Ms. Percy, the floor below is on fire, we need to go."
Elizabeth nodded, still relatively calm.
The mall was in chaos, with everyone starting to run outside.
The elevator entrance was crowded with people, and Elizabeth reminded them, "Don't take the elevator, use the emergency exit."
But those people thought the elevator area wasn't on fire yet, and not taking the elevator was foolish!
The fire spread rapidly. It seemed to have started on the fourth floor, but Elizabeth now realized that several stores on the fifth floor were also affected! The fire's origin was unclear!
Elizabeth frowned, seeing so many people pressing the elevator buttons. If the elevator stopped on the next floor, they'd be trapped inside.
Just as Elizabeth was about to shout for them to follow her to the emergency exit, there was a sudden loud bang.
The glass of a store on the fifth floor suddenly exploded, and someone was blown out from inside. That person instantly fell to the floor below, blood splattering everywhere. The people in the mall screamed in terror.
