Chapter 134

Alexander got back to the villa at 1 PM.

He took off his coat and was loosening his tie when he noticed how quiet the house was. He looked around the bedroom but didn't see Elizabeth.

Frowning, he pulled out his phone to message her but saw the unsent message from before.

He was still on Elizabeth's blacklist.

For the first time, Alexander felt emotions were really complicated.

He lay on the bed and opened Instagram.

Kieran had been partying a lot lately, always surrounded by beautiful women.

Alexander left a comment: [Take care of your kidneys.]

Kieran replied: [The party's not over yet. Come on, Alexander!]

Alexander sighed and tossed his phone aside.

The next morning, a call from Nolan woke him up.

"Mr. Tudor, something's wrong."

Alexander, still half-asleep, mumbled, "Go ahead."

"The Tudor Group's system got hacked. The power's under control, and employees can't clock in. They're stuck at the entrance."

Alexander opened his eyes, frowned, and sat up slowly, "Hacked?"

He thought, 'The Tudor Group's security system is top-notch. Who could pull this off?'

At the hospital.

Elizabeth stepped into the elevator and overheard some nurses talking, "Did you hear the Tudor Group's system got hacked?"

"Really?"

"Yeah, the news broke but got suppressed quickly!"

"Oh my God, was it a rival? Mr. Tudor actually had a setback."

"Yeah, imagine how much money they'll lose if they can't operate for a day."

Elizabeth smirked, a cold glint in her eyes.

'Serves him right,' she thought.

"I have more news," one nurse whispered.

Elizabeth stepped back to listen.

"Mr. Tudor is competing for that land at the airport. My brother's an insider. He said Mr. Tudor really wants it to build an estate for Ms. Russell!"

Elizabeth's eyes widened slightly.

She remembered what Felix said last night.

"Really?" another nurse asked, skeptical.

The first nurse nodded emphatically.

The elevator doors opened, and Elizabeth felt like her heart was left behind.

'So Alexander wanted that airport land to build an estate for Esme,' she thought.

Esme loved estates, so her brother had built several for her.

'No wonder Alexander lost it last night. If I gave the land to Joseph, Alexander wouldn't be able to please Esme,' Thinking about it, Elizabeth found it ironic.

She thought Alexander was jealous of her closeness to Joseph.

Now she realized she wasn't worth Alexander's jealousy.

When Elizabeth entered the office, everyone was talking about the hack and the land.

Esme, sitting in her seat, participated in the discussion. When she saw Elizabeth approaching, her smile instantly vanished.

Elizabeth ignored her and went to her desk. She got a message from Felix.

Felix: [Boss, Alexander found someone to crack our program.]

Elizabeth squinted.
