Chapter 1074

Leaving the restaurant, Lila stopped Kieran behind her.

Kieran was puzzled.

"We part ways here," Lila said lazily, her expression indifferent.

Kieran mimicked her smile, opened the car door, and said, "I promised Ms. Percy I'd get you home safely and be your guardian. If anything happens to you in Coral Harbor, I won't be able to face Ms. Percy."

Lila frowned, feeling annoyed, "You don't need to explain anything. I'll take responsibility for myself, okay?"

"When faced with what has already happened, it's better to accept it and move forward. Please get in the car." Kieran took Lila's hand, giving her almost no chance to argue, and pulled her into the car.

Lila moved her lips, looking up to see Kieran leaning half his body inside.

He was so close that Lila didn't dare move, her breath catching in her throat.

Kieran frowned slightly, grabbed the seatbelt, and fastened it for her.

Kieran closed the car door.

Lila was stunned.

She watched Kieran walk around the front of the car and get in, falling silent for a moment.

Looking down at her seatbelt, Lila couldn't help but reach out and hold it.

There were many scenes like this in TV dramas, but at this moment, she realized her acting on TV was far inferior.

When a man suddenly approaches domineeringly, it really gives a feeling of being instantly sniped.

Kieran locked the car door, turned to Lila, and said lazily, "Address."

Lila was silent, even though she was clear-headed, she was a bit confused at this moment.

"Here." Lila showed Kieran the map.

Kieran nodded.

"Do you need me to help you navigate?" she asked.

Kieran had driven this route many times. He often came to Coral Harbor.

But if Lila wanted to be his navigator.

"I rarely come to this area, and I'm not familiar with Coral Harbor. You better help me navigate so we don't take the wrong route and waste time." He looked serious, with no ill intentions.

Lila didn't think much, just nodded.

So, the two of them set off.

Elizabeth and Alexander happened to come out of the hotel, watching the car drive away. Elizabeth crossed her arms and turned to Alexander.

"Where are we going?"

"Just follow the plan you and Lila made yesterday," he said.

Elizabeth said, "Lila and I can sunbathe together."

"What, I can't sunbathe with you?" Alexander looked puzzled.

"You and me? Isn't that inappropriate?" She suddenly smiled, her tone gentle with a hint of teasing.

Alexander squinted his eyes and couldn't help but laugh.

Inappropriate?

What's inappropriate?

"Elizabeth, why do you talk so strangely?"

"What, don't you men like this kind of thing?" Elizabeth snorted coldly, crossing her arms and looking up at Alexander, "Especially you, you love this kind of thing, don't you?"

Alexander was silent. Although Elizabeth didn't continue.

But he seemed to have guessed what Elizabeth's next words would be.

It was probably: Didn't Esme seduce you like this back then?

Alexander pursed his lips, his tone calm, "I don't like this kind of thing. If you like it, go ahead."

Elizabeth pouted, she disdained using this kind of thing.

The hotel car stopped in front of them, Alexander bent down, "Guests of 2399, we're going to the beach."

After confirming their identity, Alexander opened the car door for Elizabeth.

Elizabeth had no choice but to go with Alexander.

Music played softly through the car speakers. Lila sat in the passenger seat, chin propped on one hand, scrolling through news on her phone.

The morning sunlight danced across her features.

Kieran stole glances at her from behind the wheel.

Feeling his eyes on her, Lila looked up. Their gazes met and she raised an eyebrow. "What are you looking at?"
