Chapter 945

Elizabeth: [If you had said this any day during those three years, I would have been moved to tears. Alexander, your love came too late.]

Tears fell onto the screen, blurring the image.

Alexander was still typing while she sent another message.

Elizabeth: [You don't love me; you love the person who saved you. Alexander, your love is too cheap. Whoever saves you, you love them!]

Elizabeth felt really unwilling.

Even though Alexander now said he loved her.

But his love was because she saved him.

The phone rang; it was a video call from Alexander.

Elizabeth pressed to answer. The lighting on his side was dim, and she couldn't tell where he was.

She curled up in the corner of the bathroom. She had countless things she wanted to yell at Alexander on the phone.

But looking at his blurry face, Elizabeth couldn't say a word.

"Elizabeth," he called her name.

Elizabeth turned her head, tears continuously falling, feeling very wronged.

"I'll come pick you up, and we'll spend New Year's together," his voice was low, with a hint of pleading.

Elizabeth's eyelashes trembled, and she asked, "Alexander, do you hear yourself? Doesn't it sound like what I used to say to you?"

Alexander didn't know how to respond, his heart pounding wildly with Elizabeth's tears.

He heard her repeatedly saying those words, "Alexander, I'll come pick you up, let's spend the holiday together."

"Alexander, today is my birthday, can you spend it with me?"

"Alexander, I just wanted to have a meal with you. What did I do wrong that made you leave without looking back?"

Elizabeth kept crying and recounting the things she had said before.

As she spoke, she choked up and eventually couldn't say anything more.

Alexander didn't respond, just listened.

Elizabeth wiped her tears while crying, "Alexander, you make me feel like I'm a lunatic!"

"I don't want this either. I don't want to cling to you every day. I know you don't love me, but I still stay by your side. What am I after? Am I some lowly person?"

"Alexander, I'm really unhappy. Every day with you, I'm unhappy."

Hearing this, Alexander felt a deep pain in his heart.

"Say something, why don't you say anything? Alexander, you bastard," Elizabeth glared at Alexander on the phone and started cursing.

Alexander could tell she had drunk a bit too much.

"If you have the guts, come out of the phone. Didn't you say you'd kneel for me? Come on, kneel! Even if you kneel, I won't forgive you! You'll never win me over in this lifetime, Alexander. I hate you, I hate you so much!"

Elizabeth started to speak incoherently.

Alexander knew the time was almost right.

The tone on his phone began to change.

There was the sound of a car door closing.

Elizabeth was squatting alone in the corner of the bathroom. She noticed the background music on his phone slowly overlapping with the DJ music on her side.

The light on him was from the bar.

Elizabeth looked at Alexander on the phone, her eyelids getting heavy.

She had clearly taken medicine, why wasn't it working?

She felt dizzy, and her head hurt.

Elizabeth reached into her pocket, and a familiar voice came from the phone, "Mr. Tudor?"

Elizabeth took out a bottle from her bag, shook her head, and saw the words on the medicine, unable to hold back her tears.

She had taken motion sickness pills earlier.

Just as Elizabeth was feeling down, the bathroom door was pushed open.

The next second, someone stood in front of her.

Elizabeth looked up along those straight long legs and slowly saw the person's face clearly.

Elizabeth was slightly stunned, then picked up her phone to compare with the person in front of her.

Exactly the same!
