Chapter 1012
The car stopped at the entrance of Willowbrook Estate. Nolan took the items down and silently handed them to Alexander.
He wondered if Alexander had a chance to help Grant and Celine to the door.
"You don't need to see us off, just stop here," Celine still insisted on refusing.
Alexander felt that Celine was even harder to impress than Elizabeth.
"Let me help you carry the stuff inside. It's not far. I'll come out right away, won't stay long," Alexander said with a smile.
Celine was about to speak. Grant nudged Celine's arm, signaling her to let it go and not make things difficult for Alexander.
Celine remained silent, then nodded after a while.
With permission granted, Alexander immediately followed the two into the Willowbrook Estate house with the items.
Nolan sighed and couldn't help but take a video of Alexander. He was really humble!
It was hard to imagine this was Alexander.
Alexander put all the items in the kitchen refrigerator.
Grant had already poured coffee.
Seeing Alexander come out of the kitchen, he still politely offered Alexander a cup of coffee before leaving.
Celine had gone upstairs to rest.
Grant said to him, "Alexander, don't blame Celine for her attitude. Elizabeth is very important to us. Elizabeth has been hurt by you once, and we don't want her to get hurt again."
Alexander nodded and answered very sincerely, "I understand. I get it. But my intention is simple, I just hope you can forgive me and that Elizabeth can give me another chance."
Grant nodded but said nothing.
Alexander placed his hands on his knees, looking somewhat nervous.
He had something to ask but hesitated to speak.
Grant spoke up, "If you have something to say, just say it. There's no one else here."
Alexander felt nervous inside but still asked, "So, I'm off tomorrow. Can I come over?"
Grant knew it was about this.
"Alexander, aren't you spending your day off with your family? Coming to our house isn't appropriate," Grant tried to pressure him with the Tudor family, "You have a grandmother at home, and your parents also want you to spend time with them."
Alexander replied, "I've talked to my family about this. They support me."
Hearing this, Grant fell silent.
Alexander continued, "My parents and my grandmother all like Elizabeth. It was just me being foolish before, hurting Elizabeth's feelings. If I can win Elizabeth back, my family would be happy."
Grant felt sweat trickling down his back.
What else could he say?
He had always valued his dignity too much to directly refuse.
Grant was in a dilemma.
Celine would definitely not agree to Alexander coming over.
"No matter if you agree or not, I'll come over tomorrow. Just consider me shameless," Alexander said, standing up. "I've already disturbed you long enough today. I won't bother you anymore. See you tomorrow."
"If you need anything, give me a call," Alexander placed his business card on the coffee table, very humbly.
Without waiting for Grant to speak again, Alexander turned and left.
Grant stared at the business card on the table, then looked at the empty living room. It was as if Alexander had never been there, leaving only the cup he drank from as a trace.
