Chapter 1088
Kieran was silent for a long time, and finally, he silently gave Alexander a thumbs-up in his heart.
At this moment, Kieran heard someone shouting nearby, "What?"
If he wasn't mistaken, it had to be Lila.
As he was thinking, Lila was already walking towards him from the set with her phone in hand.
Kieran turned, ready to slip away—he could already guess what was coming.
"Kieran, stop right there!" Lila shouted.
Kieran obediently stopped in his tracks.
He looked at Lila silently, tugging at his hair with a bit of a headache.
"You saw the news, right?" She had just finished shooting a scene and was resting when she heard everyone talking about Alexander and Elizabeth.
She picked up her phone and saw that the news of Elizabeth and Alexander getting back together had spread everywhere.
"I did," Kieran answered seriously.
Lila squinted, "So you deliberately sent me away today, didn't you?"
"No, I'm innocent!" He genuinely was. He had no idea Alexander would move so quickly!
Lila frowned, glared at him, and then sat in the spot where Kieran had been sitting.
Left without a seat, Kieran stood beside her like some personal assistant.
Lila sighed.
"Why are you so upset about them getting back together?" Kieran asked.
"Why would I be upset? I just think Elizabeth has been through enough! I feel for her!" Lila fired back.
Kieran immediately fell silent.
"Elizabeth giving Alexander a second chance means she's risking getting hurt all over again," Lila continued.
"Come on. Why so pessimistic? Isn't it possible she made the right choice and this time she'll find happiness? After everything they've been through, his heart is completely hers now. He has no reason to hurt her again," Kieran argued, feeling compelled to defend Alexander.
"You men," Lila crossed her arms, giving him a flat look. "Since when do you need a reason to hurt someone?"
Kieran was at a loss for words.
Lila sighed again.
In the silence, Kieran heard her say, "I want Elizabeth to be happy more than anyone else. She deserves all the good things in this world. But Alexander just doesn't cherish her."
"I hope she made the right call this time. Either way, I'll support whatever she decides." Lila looked at the video of Alexander kneeling on one knee on her phone, a slight smile appearing on her lips.
After saying this, she looked at Kieran.
Kieran felt a chill down his spine.
Lila pursed her lips, "I hope you can stand by what you said earlier."
"What?" Kieran was stunned.
Which part? He'd said a lot today.
"Wait, do you mean when I said I like you? I'll definitely stand by that—"
Before he could finish, Lila rolled her eyes at him.
Kieran laughed awkwardly. "Look, you want Elizabeth to be happy, and I want the same for Alexander. They're meant for each other—we should let them figure it out."
That was right.
They were meant to be together.
Some people were just destined to find their way back to each other, no matter what.
