"There really was something going on. That day, Alexander drank too much and ended up in the hospital, and then I ran into Esme being rushed in after a suicide attempt," Elizabeth said.
"What? Esme tried to kill herself again? God, how many times is she going to pull that stunt?" Lila's tone was clearly filled with disdain and sarcasm.
Elizabeth smiled helplessly, "Maybe she really got depressed from all the acting. It doesn't seem like she's faking it anymore."
"Her life is just so melodramatic." Lila shook her head, "If this were back in the day, she could've written some tell-all memoir and made a fortune. But now, everyone just sees her as crazy."
Elizabeth chuckled.
Lila's tongue was still as sharp as ever.
"I also saw Henry and Ellen. The Russell Family isn't doing well; I suspect they'll declare bankruptcy soon," Elizabeth said.
Lila sighed at this point.
She remembered Henry had talked to her about an endorsement deal before.
She didn't expect them to fall so quickly.
In a way, Esme managed to drag Alexander's entire family down with her.
Alexander was indeed ruthless.
But considering how proud Alexander was, being toyed with by Esme for three years, losing the person he truly loved, it was no wonder he was so harsh on the Russell Family, showing no mercy at all.
In the end, Esme deserved this.
The Russell Family was just collateral damage.

"I've also heard some news recently," Lila cleared her throat.
Elizabeth smiled, "Gossip from the entertainment circle? Is it about some popular star secretly having a child again?"

"The reason the Russell Family treated Esme so well was to build up good karma for their daughter out there somewhere. Who knows if that stuff actually works," Elizabeth sighed.
Lila pouted, "Maybe it does."
"But now that the Russell Family is in decline, what difference does it make if they find their biological daughter?" Lila sighed.
"If their biological daughter comes home, what about Esme? Esme is so crazy, who knows if she'll drive their biological daughter away! The Russells haven't seen the half of their problems yet!"
But the biggest issue now was that if the Russell Family ran out of money, they wouldn't be able to find their daughter.
The two were deep in conversation.
Elizabeth's phone suddenly rang.
Elizabeth picked up her phone, and her expression instantly fell, looking slightly displeased.
Elizabeth pressed the answer button and put the phone to her ear, "What's up?"
"Elizabeth, did you go to Coral Harbor?"
Alexander's voice was a few octaves higher.
Elizabeth was puzzled, "Who told you that?"
"The news!"
Lila's phone also rang; it was a news notification.

Alexander said, "I'm coming too."
