Chapter 150 Can't Speak?

Juniper held up the ointment, took a bunch of videos from every angle, and sent them to the Windsor family group chat.

Juniper: [Check this out, guys! Catherine sent me this special gift. Bet no one else has it, right?]

Charles: [It's Catherine's first time in Tranquil County. Make sure she's well taken care of and doesn't lose any weight.]

George: [Catherine is so sweet. Last time, she brought me a ton of food.]

Then came a flood of videos showing Catherine bringing food to the set.

Richard: [Wait, what? Am I the only one who didn't get anything?]

Philip: [I didn't get any food either. But last time, Catherine gave me some clothes she made herself.]

Philip posted a selfie wearing a simple black shirt with his initials embroidered on it. The collar was his favorite color, decorated with some flashy rubies, totally Philip's style.

Everyone was instantly jealous!

Seeing the messages, Juniper wrapped her arm around Catherine's neck and whined, "Catherine, my dear Catherine, I want clothes made by you too! Why does Philip get them and I don't?"

"I've got something ready, but I wasn't sure about your favorite color. That's why I'm asking now," Catherine replied.

Catherine had personally designed the first edition of Quinn Couture's seasonal collection. She also handled some high-end custom orders herself. Making clothes for the Windsor family was a piece of cake. When she checked the financials, she realized most of Quinn Couture's revenue last quarter came from the Windsor family and Alexander. Even with a rebate increase for Evergreen Mall, she had shares in Evergreen Group, so it all ended up benefiting her.

Thinking about how the Windsor family basically funded the Galactic Aurora Collective, Catherine felt a bit guilty.

Last time, Catherine found a fancy piece of fabric while making clothes. It didn't fit Quinn Couture's usual style but was perfect for Philip. So she made him a shirt, and he wore it immediately, cherishing it.

'This is handmade by Catherine! And it suits Philip so well! They really are the closest siblings!' Juniper thought as she hugged Catherine, kissed her a bunch, and said sweetly, "I'll love whatever you make! I usually wear a lab coat, so I might get your clothes dirty. I'll wear them at home!"

'The clothes I make aren't meant to be overly cherished,' Catherine thought. "No worries, I'll make more for you so you can wear them anytime."

"Alright, Catherine, you're the best. I love you!" Juniper was so happy she almost jumped up!

Catherine looked at Juniper, knowing she just didn't want the Windsor family to worry about her.

Juniper, such a genius, reminded Catherine of the members of the Galactic Aurora Collective before they were exploited. They were all super smart but also overly sensible.

When Juniper found out she wasn't actually the Windsor family's daughter, she chose to come home less often. She loved her family but didn't want to complicate things when the real Windsor daughter returned. So, she stepped back and stayed in the wilderness doing experiments.

"Catherine, hang on a bit. You can wander around here for a while. I've got a small thing to handle in the lab, and I'll come find you once I'm done," Juniper said.

"Okay."

Juniper ruffled Catherine's hair and ran towards the lab, looking back every few steps, thinking she needed to quickly solve those problems so she could get back to spending time with Catherine!

Catherine's phone was blowing up with calls from the Windsor family, mostly asking her to make clothes for them.

'Why does Philip get it, and we don't! Catherine can't be so biased!' Charles thought.

Catherine, feeling a bit overwhelmed, sighed and agreed. "Alright, alright, everyone will get one."

Charles, with a doting smile, looked at the photo on his phone, where he had even photoshopped Juniper into it. No one in the Windsor family should be left out. "Don't overwork yourself. There's no rush. Just do it when you can, or you can hand the design over to a professional tailor. I don't want you to tire yourself out."

"I understand," Catherine replied.

With so many matters at the Evergreen Group, Charles said a few more words and then hung up the phone.

Not far away, Oliver and his family saw someone strolling outside the farm and quickly rushed over. "Catherine, I knew you'd be here. What will it take for you to come home with me?"

Catherine looked at Oliver with a cold expression. "Do you want to get hit again?"

"As long as you're willing to come home with us, I can let go of what happened last time!" Oliver said, trying to sound magnanimous.

"I'm sick, Catherine. If you don't come home, I might never see you again before I die. I regret not being by Elodie's side when she passed. Catherine, you don't want me to have more regrets, do you?" Oliver signaled Brent to stand behind Catherine to prevent her from escaping, thinking that as long as she was in their hands, she would have to listen to them!

Catherine glanced at the few Brown family members behind her and sneered, "What do you mean? You still have the nerve to mention Elodie?"

Oliver perked up. "We are family, after all. Catherine, I raised you for almost twenty years. I'm the closest person to you in this world! Take me to meet your biological parents. After all these years of raising you, they should give me some gratitude money, no, medical expenses. I need money to treat my illness!"

'So it is still about money,' Catherine thought before she reached out, and just when Oliver thought she was going to reconcile with him, she slapped him across the face! "I didn't hit you before out of respect for Elodie, not for you. Did you really think I tolerated you because of your charming personality?"

Oliver, holding his face, looked at Catherine in disbelief! "You dare hit me!"

Another slap landed squarely on Oliver's face, making his face symmetrical. Seeing Oliver get hit, the Brown family members rushed to stop Catherine.

Catherine cracked her knuckles and let out a cold laugh! "And you all. You gave me expired candy when I was little, trying to kill me. You tried to steal Elodie's house deed to sell the old house. That year, you tricked me, and I almost didn't make it back alive. Did you really think I forgot all that? When I was three, you said you wanted to secretly give me poison to kill me. When I was five, you tried to throw me into a well to drown me. When I was seven, you stole the tuition Elodie saved for me, forcing her to borrow money everywhere. Did you really think I forgot?"

Facing Catherine's icy gaze, the Brown family members felt guilty, wondering how Catherine could remember things from so long ago.

Declan, feeling guilty, said, "But you survived, didn't you? Besides, what's the point of you studying so much!"

'That money would have been better spent on Brent. Brent is the family's hope, not Catherine. If Catherine had died back then, Celeste could have had a second child. Now, we have no future prospects,' Declan thought.

Brent, inexplicably afraid of Catherine, still stubbornly spoke up. "We did it for your own good. Elodie let you study, and it turned you into a useless person. Wouldn't it be better to marry me early?"

Catherine let out a cold laugh. "The fact that I've survived until now, and that you worthless lot have also made it this far, is truly embarrassing!"

She stepped forward, slapped Declan and Anouk twice, and then grabbed Brent's head and shoved it into a pile of chicken manure by the roadside! "If you can't speak properly, then wash your mouth thoroughly!"
