Chapter 335 Brad Exposes Allan, Juniper Will Bring Good Luck!
Brad walked slowly into the hall from outside, his hands clasped together and his expression solemn. There seemed to be a light behind him, and even the bracelet on his wrist emitted a warm, fragrant aura as he walked against the light.
"Look, I don't buy into fortune-telling, and I don't think this Allan guy is legit. We're all people of faith here. I wonder if Allan would dare say these things in front of God?" Brad's face almost seemed to glow, causing Allan to shiver.
Even if Allan was a fraud, he could tell at a glance that Brad was a highly respected priest.
"Who are you? Everything I say is true!" Allan retorted.
Brad spread his hands. "You're a fraud."
Allan was taken aback. "What?"
Brad confidently looked at Catherine. "Catherine, he doesn't even recognize me. He can't be a man of faith. My face was voted the most outstanding religious figure of the year. It's still on the Religious Affairs Bureau's website!"
Stellara had a comprehensive system for managing religious personnel. Legitimate priests had certificates, and anyone with a certificate would have been featured on the Bureau's website.
Brad's face had been on the homepage of the Religious Affairs Bureau for a long time. Allan's failure to recognize him was a clear sign that he was a fraud.
Allan indeed had no certificate. He had learned these tricks just to deceive people. There was no way he would have gone through the proper channels to get certified!
He stammered, "I am a legitimate priest! Is it not possible for a priest to exist without a certificate?"
"It's possible, but the law states that uncertified practitioners cannot perform fortune-telling."
Allan was about to explode. This Brad kept bringing up the law!
"I... I do have a certificate. I just didn't bring it with me because I left in a hurry."
Brad looked at Allan. "No need to make it complicated. I'll just call someone from Grace Haven Church and ask if you're one of their students."
He took out his phone and dialed a contact. As soon as the call connected, they heard an angry voice.
"You people are desecrating the divine! I have to pay to enter my own home?"
The staff member on the other end was impatient. "We bought this land to turn it into a tourist site. Is there a problem with that?"
The priest was furious. "This is my home! I've lived here for fifty years! Turning it into a tourist site is one thing, but moving the statues?"
The staff member was unmoved. "This is a tourist site now. If you want to enter, you need to buy a ticket."
The priest, fuming, bought a ticket and went in. Once inside, he continued to curse, leaving the Windsor family in stunned silence.
This priest had quite a personality!
After his tirade, the priest finally looked at the phone and asked Brad what he needed.
Brad pointed the phone at Allan. The priest took a good look and shook his head. "Nope, never seen this guy. He's a fraud. Feel free to rough him up if you want."
Allan panicked. "You, you, you! Talking about violence, are you really a man of faith? And you curse too!"
The priest stroked his beard. "A friend of mine once said, if someone seeks death, it's a good deed to help them along. It's a great act of kindness! Another day, another good deed!"
"As for cursing, releasing all my inner anger is part of self-cultivation. After cursing, I feel refreshed and improved!"
Allan was stunned. What kind of practices did Grace Haven Church follow?
Brad pocketed his phone and turned to Allan, his eyes steady and sincere, as if genuinely asking, "I can send you to hell for free. Want to go?"
Go... where?
Allan shook his head frantically. "No, no, I was invited here. They asked me to help change the family name of two people..."
Sensing the risk of exposure, Lila quickly spoke up. "It's true! These two people will bring misfortune!"
Brad blinked. "Ma'am, I see the Windsor family members as people of great fortune, ensuring the family's prosperity for a hundred years. How did you see misfortune?"
Lila had seen Brad a few times when she was flaunting her status. She knew his influence in the circle was unmatched, not even by a hundred Allans combined!
If Brad said the Windsor family members would bring good fortune, no one would believe Lila's claim of misfortune.
Brad continued, "Actually, I think you, ma'am, are the one bringing misfortune. Mr. Windsor divorcing you was a wise decision. You used deceit to get here, but with such a bad heart, lies are just illusions."
Lila was so angry she almost fainted!
Catherine stepped forward and tapped her back a few times, quickly restoring her breathing. "Grandpa has questions for you. Playing dead won't help."
Marcus had questions, and so did Catherine!
Lila looked into Catherine's eyes and felt as if she was seeing Elodie, that wretched woman!
She screamed, "It wasn't me! I didn't take your child! Franklin told me if I took Brandon, I could be Marcus's wife... It wasn't me, I didn't want to hurt you!"
"Even if Brandon isn't my son, I've always treated him as my own. If it weren't for Aurora interfering, Brandon would be closer to me now!"
"I didn't raise my own child because I have a conscience. Believe me, I didn't mistreat your son..."
Catherine scoffed. "Conscience? You're not driven by conscience, but by fear!"
Marcus allowed Lila into the house because Brandon was indeed his son. Lila never considered swapping her own child with Brandon?
Of course, she had! But she didn't dare!
"It's all Franklin's fault! He told me how to deceive Marcus!"
Juniper watched the hysterical Lila intently. Brad's voice suddenly sounded beside her.
"Don't worry, she's lying. You're very fortunate! I never lie!"
