Chapter 82 Catherine is a Genius Violinist

Catherine hopped out of the car and was like, "Wait, this music store Samuel mentioned? It's a whole dang building on the busiest street in downtown Imperia City!"

This place was massive—six floors of every instrument you could think of, and even some you couldn't. Violins, pianos, guitars, you name it, they had it.

And get this, they had signed instruments from famous masters and pianos used by international legends just chilling in the corners.

Catherine stood at the entrance, kinda speechless.

Next door was a gallery Samuel had also handed over to her. Sophia had her eye on it before, and the Galactic Aurora Collective wanted to buy it, but the owner wouldn't budge.

Charles pointed at a sculpture by the entrance and said, "This is by the famous sculptor Ryder. I dropped a ton of cash at an auction for it."

Catherine stared at the sculpture, recognizing it immediately, and went even quieter.

Those sculptures at the entrances? Yeah, she had made them herself during a data bottleneck at the Galactic Aurora Collective to clear her head. They had sold for crazy amounts at auctions.

Charles dragged Catherine into the music store, and all the busy staff froze.

"Mr. Windsor, Ms. Windsor."

Charles pulled Catherine along and announced, "From now on, this music store is Catherine's. She's your new boss, got it?"

The staff exchanged looks, sensing something was up.

Catherine had just come back and was already taking over this huge music store. Samuel must really think she's something special.

"Yes, Mr. Windsor."

Charles waved, and two guys in suits hustled over with big smiles.

"Catherine, this is the store manager, Gabriel Lewis, and this is the gallery manager, Elijah Lewis. If you need anything, just hit them up."

Catherine nodded and followed Charles to meet everyone.

Charles pulled the managers aside to talk about the latest quarterly financials of the music store and gallery. When he turned around, he saw Catherine standing in front of a violin.

That violin was handcrafted by the violin maestro Vincent Hall, worth a fortune. It was supposed to be returned next month.

Catherine, in her light blue dress, stood under the perfect store lights, her dress sparkling like starlight. She looked otherworldly, like she didn't belong to this mundane world.

She was stunning. Charles couldn't help but snap a pic and send it to the family group chat.

George: [Catherine is so beautiful, she's like our little fairy.]

Richard: [Charles, does Catherine like that violin? Can we buy it from Vincent?]

Philip: [I'll contact Vincent right away.]

Juniper: [Catherine looks great with those violins. Buy them all. Just close the store and give them to Catherine. If you guys don't have the money, I'll pay. You men are so stingy.]

The group chat was on fire.

The Windsor men were all riled up by Juniper's words.

Spending money? No biggie!

Even though Gabriel was the store manager, Samuel was usually hands-off, and Charles rarely showed up. So, Gabriel was basically running the show.

Now, seeing a new boss suddenly appear, Gabriel thought Catherine was just another clueless rich kid.

Gabriel thought to himself, 'Do these rich kids really think they know violins? Bet they can't even name the parts.'

"Miss, this violin was handcrafted by Vincent. It's one of a kind. Please be careful," Gabriel said. "All the instruments here are precious. The one you're looking at is the most valuable. If it gets damaged, we won't be able to explain it to Vincent."

Charles shot Gabriel a sharp look and said, "If Catherine likes it, it's the violin's honor."

Gabriel apologized out loud but was rolling his eyes inside. 'Yep, another clueless rich girl as the new boss. She probably doesn't even know what a violin is, yet she wants to run the store. What a joke.'

Catherine glanced at the violin and casually said, "If it's so precious, why hasn't the scroll and pegbox been repaired?"

Gabriel started sweating bullets. "This is Vincent's work; we didn't dare touch it."

Catherine knew Vincent well. If he made it, it had to be perfect, using the best materials. She had personally carved the peghead for this violin for Vincent.

"Vincent will be pissed if he knows you treated his violin like this." As she spoke, Catherine skillfully opened the toolbox on the floor and carefully repaired the entire violin, even meticulously maintaining the strings to ensure Vincent's hard work wasn't ruined.

Charles's cold gaze fell on Gabriel, and he said icily, "Gabriel, I think you owe me an explanation."

"Mr. Windsor, we really didn't dare touch this violin..." Before Gabriel could finish, the melodious sound of the violin filled the store.

The music flowed like a gentle breeze and a bright moon, making everyone hold their breath.

Even in his excitement, Charles didn't forget to record the performance.

After the performance, Catherine adjusted the violin's tuning and then stood up, saying, "Violins are meant to be played. Otherwise, why make them? If I find out you're neglecting maintenance again, you won't be working here anymore."

The store employees were stunned. 'We've worked here for years and have never heard such beautiful violin music! Catherine isn't just a new boss; she's like a fairy descended from the heavens.'

Gabriel's eyes widened. He hadn't expected Catherine to actually understand violins and play so well!

Meeting Catherine's gaze, Gabriel broke into a cold sweat and promised, "Yes! We'll be more careful in the future!"

Charles happily shared the video in the Windsor family group chat, adding, [Come on! Hasn't anyone heard such beautiful violin music live?]

The group chat fell silent.

Moments later, Charles was kicked out of the group chat by Brandon.

Charles wanted to say something but saw a red exclamation mark and thought, 'What does this mean? Just because they didn't hear Catherine play the violin on site, they kick me out?'

Charles, speechless, opened Facebook, and the first post was a video of Catherine playing the violin, posted by Brandon.

[Watching my daughter play the violin brings tears to my eyes! Did I capture it well?]

'Did you take this video? No, I have to hurry and buy this violin for Catherine! Otherwise, Catherine will be snatched away by others in the family!' Charles thought and put away his phone, walking over to Catherine. "I have some things to take care of. Let the manager accompany you to the gallery. If you need anything, just let me know."

"Okay, you go ahead," Catherine said.
