Chapter 165 Hit Oliver with the Car

The top jade appraiser in the biz, Megrez, charged a fortune, but his evaluations were always spot-on!

Oliver shelled out big bucks just to make sure he didn't screw up and hand over a treasure to Catherine.

Sophia, who was on set, opened the picture and let out a happy whistle.

The call and picture both went to Catherine's phone.

"Miss, this idiot can't even tell white marble from a treasure? His brain must be on vacation," Sophia said.

"Tell him it's just a worthless stone. There's a video my grandma recorded before she passed away hidden in this sculpture. It's super important," Catherine replied.

"Got it." Hanging up, Sophia took the money without hesitation and texted back: [Pebble.]

Oliver was floored when he saw the word "pebble" on the screen, thinking, 'I spent a hundred grand, and Megrez dismisses me with just one word?'

But Megrez's reputation was huge. Even with just one word, Oliver felt relieved, put away his phone, and happily took the sculpture out the door.

Thinking about the valuable bracelet that would soon be his, Oliver felt his heart was about to burst with excitement!

On set, Sophia put away her phone and glanced at Clara, who was lurking in the corner.

Sophia walked past Clara and casually said, "I heard the president of the Smith Group in Serenitia City has a valuable bracelet. Wonder if it's for their own kid."

Clara immediately looked up, shocked, at the departing Sophia!

'A valuable bracelet at home? How come I know nothing about it? Celeste hasn't told me, and Oliver's kept it from me. Aren't the Smith Family's things supposed to be mine in the future?' Clara thought, feeling deeply wronged! 'I don't get it. To prove my worth, I work hard as a supporting actress on set, just to one day become famous and crush Catherine. Yet, the Smith Family always treats me like an outsider. Damn it, no one can take what's mine!'

Clara quietly slipped away from the set, unnoticed. She changed into her own clothes and took a cab, rushing towards the city. Probably too tired, she fell asleep halfway.

Sitting in the car, Oliver had the maple tree sculpture made of worthless stone casually placed beside him. He had studied it many times along the way, finding nothing special about it.

Only Catherine would consider such a thing a treasure!

Suppressing his excitement, Oliver arrived at the agreed location, a desolate suburb with no one in sight.

After waiting for a long time without seeing the driver, Oliver simply placed the sculpture on the ground.

As soon as he put it down, a car came rushing towards him. Oliver thought it was the driver, excited!

'My bracelet! The Smith Family is about to get rich!' Oliver thought.

But the car showed no signs of slowing down, even speeding up!

Oliver panicked and quickly dodged to the side, but the car made a turn and hit him squarely, sending him flying.

A car not far away opened its door as shiny black leather shoes stepped onto the dry grass. Richard bent down to pick up the maple tree sculpture. He seemed oblivious to everything happening around him and exclaimed, "What a beautiful maple tree, so well-carved. Looks like the work of master sculptor Ryder. The market price has skyrocketed these days! No wonder grandma liked maple trees. I like such beautiful ones too."

Philip took it, admiring the maple tree sculpture in his hand, and gave a faint order, "Run over him a few more times. Since he dares to scheme against Catherine, he should experience what an accidental car crash feels like! Make sure he stays alive."

For someone as awful as Oliver, death would be a blessing, not a punishment. He deserved to rot in misery. Living would make him feel endless pain!

Saturn's call came through to Catherine's phone. "Miss, the IP of the person who bought the bracelet from Oliver came from Ironclad Jail. The last signal we tracked that was meant to kill Marcus also disappeared nearby."

"Keep tracking," Catherine instructed.

"Also, Oliver had a car accident. The driver was Clara," Saturn reported.

Catherine was a bit surprised but then understood, asking, "The Windsor Family did it?"

Saturn recounted the events. "Miss, your two brothers are just as ruthless as you. Oliver is probably paralyzed for the rest of his life, but he deserves it!"

Who told Oliver to abuse Catherine in the past!

Catherine said indifferently, "Got it. Give me the last IP where the signal disappeared. I'll check it out myself tomorrow."

"Got it," Saturn replied.

Catherine tucked her phone away as the car stopped at the entrance of an ancient manor. The manor covered over 5,000 square feet, built entirely in a castle style, looking like a real fairy tale world.

Alexander looked at the manor, slightly surprised. "The Harrison Family? So Dominic is here to celebrate Mr. Owen Harrison's birthday."

The Harrison Family, known in Stellara for their antique paintings and calligraphy, had a deep heritage. There were antiques from different ages at any time in their home.

Alexander explained in a low voice, "Catherine, Owen is Marcus's old comrade. Our families are close. For Owen's birthday, we should come to celebrate it for him."

Marcus and Felix were getting old, and such occasions were usually attended by the younger generation. Sending a gift was also considered a greeting.

Catherine didn't expect this history.

Dominic straightened his clothes and handed the box in his hand to Alexander. "Take the gift I prepared! Do you expect Catherine to carry such a heavy thing? Don't you know how to cherish girls!"

"It's my duty to carry it," Alexander said humbly. The box was quite heavy, and he didn't know what was inside.

Catherine lifted it slightly and raised an eyebrow. "There is a painting by Mr. Chambers and a stone cut by Mr. White."

This gift was quite substantial, showing Dominic's importance to Owen.

Catherine's hand rested on Alexander's arm as they followed Dominic into the banquet hall.

As soon as they entered the banquet hall, the three of them attracted everyone's attention!

Dominic walked in front, hands behind his back, looking indifferent, but no one dared to underestimate him, who was a walking benchmark in the oil painting world!

Behind Dominic was a perfect couple. Catherine, in her gown, had a slim waist and long legs, her eyes sparkling, as beautiful as a painting.

Catherine wore a delicate bracelet on her hand, resting on the arm of the tall and handsome Alexander, who, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, looked gentle and approachable, but his eyes were cold, making people uneasy!

A woman in a fitted gown gracefully approached, smiling warmly. "Mr. Howard and Ms. Windsor, I'm glad you could come. Mr. Chambers, my father is waiting for you. Please follow me."

Dominic waved his hand. "You guys go have fun. I'll go over."

Catherine's gaze fell on the woman leading the way as she frowned slightly, feeling she had seen this face somewhere before! She had always had a photographic memory, so this was definitely not an illusion!
