Chapter 358 Everyone in the Windsor Family Stands with Catherine!
The sound of car horns blared outside the cemetery.
A dozen cars rolled up, and an elderly man stepped out of the lead vehicle, accompanied by a young woman who looked just over twenty.
The elderly man wore a white suit with a flower pinned to his chest and a black hat, his steps shaky.
As soon as he appeared, Brandon rushed over to greet him.
"Hey, Cody, what brings you here?"
"You're paying respects to your mom, and you didn't think to invite us? Do you not see us as family?"
Lila, perched on a man's shoulder, lit up with excitement upon seeing the Windsor family members.
These folks were definitely here to stir up trouble!
"Cody, you're the head of the Windsor family now! You gotta help me! Get rid of Elodie; this should be my spot! When have I ever wronged the Windsor family?"
"And Faye! You grew up with Esme, you gotta help your grandma!"
"They're all ganging up on me! We need to get rid of these unlucky women!"
In Lila's eyes, both Aurora and Catherine were obstacles in her path!
If it weren't for them, the Windsor family would have been hers long ago.
Why did Marcus refuse to touch her, yet Aurora continued to have children?
For the past thirty years, Lila's heart had been filled with overwhelming hatred!
Faye, standing beside Cody, looked calm.
"I was adopted by Grandpa. I have nothing to do with you. I have my own grandmother, and it's not you."
Lila persisted.
"You were placed with our Esme back then; you might be her biological sister!"
"Esme is my real granddaughter, so you're my granddaughter too!"
Lila's eyes sparkled when she looked at Faye!
Faye remained expressionless and took a step back.
"Then go find Esme, I'm not your granddaughter."
Esme?
Who knows where Esme is now!
Just mentioning that name made Lila's head throb!
If Esme hadn't abandoned her, Lila wouldn't be in this situation!
"Cody, what are you here for today? Are you here to throw out that witch Elodie?"
Lila was extremely agitated.
Cody adjusted his clothes and, with Faye's support, walked over to Marcus. Once there, he bowed deeply. "Marcus, sorry I'm late."
"No one invited you, so why are you here?"
Cody replied seriously, "I came to see Elodie off and to ask when Catherine will be officially recognized by the family?"
Marcus nodded.
"It's time to handle that. It doesn't matter when Catherine is officially recognized; she'll always be a Windsor."
"And what about Elodie?"
Cody asked cautiously.
Even in his old age, Cody was still a bit nervous around Marcus.
This was the Marcus he revered!
Without Marcus's guidance, the Windsor family wouldn't be what it is today, and Cody might not have survived!
Marcus pondered for a moment.
"No need."
Cody quickly interjected.
"Marcus, everyone needs a final resting place. Elodie lived a lonely life; she deserves a place to belong."
"If that's the case, then just list her as Brandon's mother. I'm worried… she wouldn't want any ties with me!"
"Yes, I'll take care of it."
Cody's words completely shattered Lila!
"You're crazy! Why? I'm Marcus's wife!"
Cody calmly said, "By the way, you should be kicked out of the Windsor family!"
Lila was about to lose it!
Arabella watched with her arms crossed, and when she apparently found a solution that satisfied her, the corners of her mouth, which had been turned down, curved up into a slight smile.
"The Windsor family's smarter than I thought. I was thinking of taking Juniper and Catherine to the Howard family if you didn't want them."
Juniper asked, "Grandma, the Howard family wouldn't just take us in like that, right?"
The Howard folks they'd met before seemed pretty tough!
Arabella replied, "With a little pressure, anyone can be persuaded!"
At her age, she didn't think anyone was more daring than her!
Arabella had a fierce determination!
Alexander watched Arabella, feeling like she'd made some big decision without the Howard family even knowing…
Lila had already fainted.
Arabella said casually, "Alright, I'm outta here. If Lila dies, I'd be bored!"
Her tone made it clear she saw Lila as her entertainment…
As Arabella and her entourage left, Cody wiped the sweat from his brow.
"Arabella's temper hasn't changed a bit… Marcus, let me say a prayer for Elodie! I owe her my life from years ago!"
If it weren't for Elodie's kindness in saving a gravely ill Cody, he wouldn't be here today!
"Go ahead, your intentions mean more than anything."
With Faye's support, Cody prayed sincerely for Elodie.
Afterward, Cody looked at Marcus.
"Marcus, I've got another thing. Faye is graduating from college this year, and I'd like her to work at the Windsor family company. What do you think?"
Marcus glanced at Faye standing beside Cody.
"Faye studied hotel management, right? Let her work at one of our hotels. We just gave one to Catherine. But since Catherine's the boss, we should ask her opinion."
Cody turned to Catherine, who was standing in the back, and asked with a smile, "Catherine, is it cool if Faye works under you?"
Since it was arranged by the Windsor family, Catherine had no objections.
She hadn't even visited the hotel herself yet.
Marcus arranged for someone to work there and asked for her opinion, simply out of respect for her!
"Sure, I'm good with it."
Cody's smile grew even brighter!
"Don't worry, Faye's not spoiled. Let her start from the bottom! Just make sure no one gives her a hard time, and everything else is up to you!"
Faye spoke up, "Grandpa, no one can push me around, don't worry."
She knew Cody was just worried she'd be mistreated if she found a job on her own!
That's why he brought her to the Windsor family cemetery and arranged for her to work at Catherine's hotel.
Outside the cemetery, Franklin, covered in dirt, coughed a few times, looking a bit worn out!
He walked into the cemetery step by step, followed by a group of people who had just crawled out of a pit, each looking quite comical.
Marcus frowned, "Franklin, are you digging your own grave?"
Looking so disheveled, something seemed off!
