Chapter 197 Preparing to Change Fiancé

"Miss, are you seriously taking him to the Galactic Aurora Collective?" Mercury hesitated. The place held way too many of their secrets, and bringing Alexander there seemed like a bad idea.

Catherine glanced at the few members of the Galactic Aurora Collective standing before her. "Got a problem with that?"

Mercury quickly raised his hand. "You're the boss. Your call!"

Mars stepped up to carry Alexander. "Let's move. If Miss trusts him, we're on board."

Venus pulled up in a truck from somewhere. "Hop in! We've made enough noise here; people will be swarming soon!"

The back of the truck had plenty of space. Catherine had Mars lay Alexander flat and checked his pulse.

Mars frowned. "Miss, Nightfall's got guts. He jumped down with you despite being seriously hurt. From the other side, I thought he was fine."

While helping Catherine stop Alexander's bleeding, Mercury added, "Yeah, I saw him standing and talking tough. Thought he was okay, but when I touched him, my hand was covered in blood."

They had been watching from the building across, seeing Alexander's composed and cold demeanor, thinking he was unscathed.

The rope Mars threw was also grabbed by Alexander with one hand as he jumped out holding Catherine, his movements smooth and swift.

No one knew he was injured!

"No vital organs were hit, just a lot of blood loss and many wounds that need treatment. We'll deal with it back at the Galactic Aurora Collective." Catherine breathed a sigh of relief, looking at the unconscious Alexander in front of her as she thought, 'He is clearly injured, why didn't he tell me? The scene was too bloody, and Alexander was too good at disguising himself in front of me. I guessed he was injured but didn't expect it to be this serious. If I had known Alexander was so badly injured, I would never have let him jump first.'

Mercury looked at the computer in front of him. "Miss, Mr. George Windsor went to the Heritage Storage Depot. Good thing we left quickly."

Catherine nodded, her expression cold with a hint of killing intent. "The Hughes Family and Thunderstrike Mercenaries don't need to exist anymore."

Mars rubbed his hands eagerly. "Are we going after the Hughes Family? Are we doing it ourselves or calling in the Windsor Family?"

"We'll handle it ourselves. By tomorrow morning, I want to see the Hughes Family bankrupt." Catherine ordered.

The companies under the Galactic Aurora Collective were enough to bankrupt the Hughes Family. The Hughes Family had made too many enemies; once they saw the Hughes Family in trouble, others would help clean up the mess.

Catherine took out her phone and dialed an encrypted number.

Under the Black Tower, Timothy was feeding a few people to the sharks. The sharks circled in the water, the blood of those people emitting a strong scent.

Seeing the number on the phone, Timothy immediately jumped up, his fierce expression turning into one of flattery. "Catherine, what's up?"

"Do me a favor. The Thunderstrike Mercenaries don't need to exist anymore. My people can't go to Ironclad Jail right now, can you lend a hand?" Catherine said.

"Lend a hand? Don't worry, I'll wipe them out! Did they have the nerve to mess with you?" Timothy asked.

Catherine said calmly, "Yes, they did."

"Wait for my news!" Hanging up the phone, Timothy waved his hand casually, and the people hanging in mid-air were accurately thrown into the sharks' mouths, turning the sea surface blood red. "These people happen to be from the Thunderstrike Mercenaries. Take a picture and send it to Catherine."

Catherine looked at the picture on her phone and pressed her temples, feeling a bit exasperated. "Alright, the Thunderstrike Mercenaries are handled. Let's bankrupt the Hughes Family."

"Got it!"

Galactic Aurora Collective.

As soon as they got back to the villa the Galactic Aurora Collective had in Imperia City, Mars placed Alexander in Catherine's lab, raised his hands, and turned to leave. "Miss, you take care of him! So he doesn't kill us when he wakes up. We won't peek! Goodbye! You got this!"

Mercury followed, raising his hands in surrender. "Yeah, I heard from the Shadow Syndicate that Nightfall has a serious cleanliness obsession, so it's better if you handle it."

Venus nodded in agreement. "Miss, you can handle his wounds alone. We're off to deal with the Hughes Family. Hurry up. His injuries need immediate attention."

Catherine watched as her team left in a hurry, not even sparing her an extra glance, and sighed helplessly, thinking, 'Looks like I need to tighten up internal discipline sometime. Otherwise, these brats will get out of hand sooner or later!'

Catherine took a deep breath and began unbuttoning Alexander's shirt, revealing his muscular torso.

Alexander had numerous scars, both deep and shallow, likely from past missions.

Catherine carefully removed Alexander's shirt, but her hand was suddenly grasped by Alexander.

His gaze was intense, emotions swirling in his eyes, almost drowning Catherine. "Are you planning to take advantage of me while I'm unprepared?"

"I'm just applying medicine. You're injured," she said.

Alexander's hand gripped Catherine's slender wrist, his eyes filled with boundless aggression. "You want to bankrupt the Hughes Family?"

"Isn't that your plan?" Catherine asked.

Alexander released Catherine's hand, allowing her to help him remove his shirt. "We're on the same page. But the Windsor Family is also taking action. You might see the Hughes Family bankrupt sooner than you think."

If the Howard Family and the Windsor Family joined forces, the Hughes Family indeed wouldn't stand a chance.

Catherine carefully disinfected and treated Alexander's wounds with an alcohol swab. "You have a lot of injuries."

"Sorry if I scared you. Most of them are from years ago," he explained.

Catherine frowned slightly at the deepest wound on Alexander's body. "How did you get injured today?"

"There were too many of them. I got careless and got hurt."

"You're lying," Catherine said as she thought, 'Given Alexander's cautious nature, he wouldn't have gone to Heritage Storage Depot with just a few people after discovering the Shadow Syndicate was intercepted.'

Catherine applied a bit more pressure, the alcohol seeping into the wound causing Alexander to gasp in pain.

"Are you that eager to change fiancés? I'm not lying. I received some information that the Blade of Dusk had something my mother left behind. They threatened to destroy it if I didn't go. I cared about it, so I went." Alexander chuckled and shook his head. "I forgot to tell you that Emilia's mother is the daughter of the Blade of Dusk's leader and was a friend of my mother's. It's normal for her to have my mother's belongings."

Alexander took a ring from his pants pocket and placed it in Catherine's hand. "This is my mother's favorite ring. It's yours now."

"To me? If it's so important to you, it's not appropriate to give it to me."

Alexander gently shook his head, his gaze at Catherine filled with tender affection. His Adam's apple bobbed, his breath hot. "You're the most important person to me now."
