Chapter 241 Soon to Have a Daughter-in-Law

Emilia yanked George along, sprinting through the estate.

George, while fending off their pursuers, kept an eye on Emilia. "Did you get what you needed?"

"Yeah! Just some small stuff, not worth the trouble we're in!" Emilia replied.

They zigzagged through the grounds, finally losing the bodyguards and hopping into a taxi waiting by the curb.

Once inside, George buckled up and said, "To Starry Residence!"

The taxi driver, Dubhe, wearing sunglasses, casually started the meter. "Alright, hang on."

The taxi took off, with a dozen cars hot on their tail, sparks flying from the pavement!

Only when they reached the city center, where surveillance cameras were everywhere, did George relax a bit but still looked suspicious. "Which taxi company are you from?"

Dubhe's impressive driving had George wondering if he could've done better himself.

Dubhe adjusted his cap and mask, pointing to his ID badge. "Used to be a race car driver, sorry if I scared you."

George checked the info, still uneasy, and scanned the QR code with his phone. Seeing that the driver's profile indeed mentioned a retired pro race car driver, George finally relaxed. "No offense, your skills are top-notch. I'll leave a good review."

"Thanks a lot!" Dubhe replied.

The Windsor Family was always cautious, and the Galactic Aurora Collective never left any traces.

The real taxi driver was still snoozing in the trunk, and the info Dubhe showed was tweaked by the Galactic Aurora Collective.

George's scan led to a temporary webpage that would self-destruct after viewing!

After confirming the driver was legit, George called Philip, and they discussed what they had overheard at Ezekiel's estate.

Dubhe, with an earpiece, was relaying everything to Catherine in real-time.

Philip said, "Ezekiel's got guts, but this stuff is way out of his league. I'll dig into his company and find something to keep him occupied."

"Alright, I'll catch up with Charles later," George said.

Charles was currently having dinner with Catherine and didn't answer his phone.

The taxi pulled up at Starry Residence, and George used facial recognition to let them in. They stopped at the Windsor Mansion, and he got out.

Dubhe watched George and Emilia walk away, lowering his voice. "They're back safe."

Catherine relaxed and cut the connection.

As soon as they walked in, Aurora saw the disheveled George and Emilia trailing behind him and let out a scream!

Her hands shook as she pointed at George's torn clothes and Emilia's slightly flushed face from fear and tension.

Emilia's clothes were also ripped, with some red marks on her exposed skin from scrapes at Ezekiel's estate.

Aurora's mind raced. "George, what have you been up to?"

George looked at Aurora, confused. "Nothing much."

Aurora almost couldn't breathe, fearing the worst. "Go change your clothes! You look ridiculous. People might think you're doing some weird performance art."

George finally noticed his torn clothes and quickly ran upstairs to change!

Aurora held Emilia's hand, her face full of concern. "Emilia, George didn't bully you, did he?"

Emilia shook her head, still a bit confused. "No, he took good care of me."

"That's good to hear. So, when are you moving into the Windsor Mansion to live with me?" Aurora asked, her eyes twinkling.

"Isn't that a bit much?" Emilia replied, unsure.

Aurora beamed. "It's perfect. Catherine's off to school soon, and Juniper's never home. I need some girl time. Plus, it's super convenient for you to stay here!"

The main thing was, if George had done anything inappropriate, Emilia deserved an explanation!

Aurora was a bit excited, thinking she might soon have a daughter-in-law!

At Imperial University, Charles's car pulled up at the school gate. "Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?"

Catherine got out of the car, shaking her head. "Vincent invited me, so it shouldn't be a big deal. You go handle your stuff."

"I'll come pick you up later. Call me when you're done."

"Okay."

Charles reminded her a few more times before driving off.

The incident at Ezekiel's estate was a big deal. Alexander was called back by Felix, who was working late at the company, and Charles had a lot on his plate too. After dropping Catherine off, he rushed back to the office.

Catherine walked towards the meeting spot with Vincent, pressing her earpiece.

Alkaid's voice came through. "Miss, Vincent and I are waiting for you at the auditorium. I found out Ezekiel has been in contact with Tiberius."

"Business dealings?" Catherine asked.

"Seems like it, but my gut says it's more. Their call and cooperation frequency don't add up. Neither Ezekiel nor Tiberius is the type to call a friend in the middle of the night just to chat." Alkaid shrugged. "There's probably more to their relationship than just business."

Catherine was silent for a moment, then said, "Do more experiments and watch less weird stuff."

With the school year approaching, the campus was already bustling with students.

The sound of a wheelchair behind Catherine interrupted her thoughts, and an impatient male voice stopped her. An electric wheelchair halted in front of her. "Excuse me, do you know how to get to the auditorium?"

The guy in the wheelchair wore a shirt with perfectly matched cufflinks, his sickly pale face carrying a touch of delicate fragility, and a gentle, elegant smile on his lips.

Just his appearance made many students stop and stare.

Catherine raised an eyebrow slightly, thinking, 'A patient with an aortic dissection, out of the hospital so soon, is unlikely to be Gavin's permission. It is probably Tiberius himself who has come out.'

Catherine withdrew her gaze and walked past Tiberius. "I don't know."

Tiberius moved his wheelchair to follow Catherine. "Are you going to the auditorium too? I'll go with you."

"I'm going to the library."

"Great, I need to go to the library too. Let's go together."

Catherine glanced coldly at Tiberius in the wheelchair, the campus light filtering through the trees adding a touch of warmth to him.

Catherine smirked coldly, her gaze falling on Tiberius's wheelchair, slightly mocking. "What a coincidence? Wherever I go, you go? If I go to the rooftop to sunbathe, will you go too?"
