Chapter 251 Richard's Missing, Come Quickly

'The Windsor Family already set up a company for their kid? Wow, that's early! I found school boring too, but I never had a dozen companies to manage. What a simple yet braggy reason!' Gabriella thought, feeling the weight of the wealthy family's influence.

At first, Gabriella thought Catherine just didn't want to go to school and had a bunch of excuses ready to convince her to study hard. Now, she realized there was no need to persuade her.

Before leaving the office, Catherine noticed a bouquet of flowers in the trash can next to Gabriella. The vibrant purple irises were still fresh, and the card had bold handwriting: [Best wishes for the new school year. Hope you do great!]

There was no signature, but it was clearly Charles's handwriting!

The wrapping paper of this bouquet was the same as the one Charles gave Catherine yesterday, from the flower shop downstairs at Charles's company.

'Did Gabriella just toss the flowers Charles sent?' Catherine wondered, stopping in her tracks. "Ms. Gray, are these flowers from Charles?"

Gabriella tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled. "Yeah, Charles asked me to look after you, but he didn't know I'm allergic to irises. Since Mr. and Mrs. Windsor are out of the country, let Charles sign the course application."

"Okay, I'll let Charles know."

'How did Gabriella know Brandon and Aurora are abroad?' Catherine thought but didn't ask. She nodded and left the office.

As soon as she opened the door, a few people who had been eavesdropping fell to the ground, looking at Catherine awkwardly.

Catherine's gaze swept over them, most of whom were close to Lyra. They were probably there to see if Gabriella would scold her.

The scene was pretty awkward.

Ignoring them, Catherine lifted her foot and walked away.

Catherine's gaze swept over them; most of them were close to Lyra. They were probably here to see if Gabriella scolded her.

The scene was pretty awkward.

Catherine ignored them, lifted her foot, and walked away.

After Catherine told Charles he needed to come to school to sign, he called Gabriella.

Gabriella was silent for a moment, then said, "Thanks for the flowers, but there's no need to send them again. I'm allergic to all pollen."

Charles probably had his assistant buy the flowers for Gabriella. "Sorry, I didn't know. How about we grab a meal? Consider it my apology, and we can discuss Catherine's matters."

"No need; I have a lot of school work. Please come as soon as possible," Gabriella replied.

Charles didn't push it, agreed, and then hung up.

Gabriella got another call and hurriedly left the office.

Lyra's followers were surprised that Catherine wasn't scolded and seemed like she wasn't even planning to attend classes. "Rich people really don't belong in school."

Lyra's gaze fell on the design drafts on Gabriella's desk, and her eyes widened in amazement!

'Did Catherine leave these drafts? The designer's talent and level can be discerned just from these. How could a college freshman like Catherine draw these? Did the Windsor Family hire a top-notch designer to ghostwrite for her to keep her out of school?' Lyra thought, convinced this must be the case! 'The Windsor Family is too much, truly a nouveau riche family to pull such stunts.'

But thinking about the scene where the Windsor Family sent Catherine to school with a grand entourage, afraid she might get hurt, and the proud, smug smiles on their faces when she played the violin, made Lyra's face twist with jealousy!

Lyra eyed those design drafts with greed.

The Evergreen Group, President's Office.

In the spacious, well-lit office, the sound of a pen scratching on paper was particularly noticeable.

Philip, wearing a loud floral shirt, lounged casually in Charles's office, looking over Catherine's leave application. "Yeah, some courses are pretty boring. I remember applying for exemptions back in school too. Catherine can use the time to learn something more useful."

Charles replied, "Catherine can learn whatever she wants. Our family can support her, no problem. By the way, have all the necessary lawsuits been filed?"

Philip swiped his device, sending a long list to Charles. "All filed, including against Esme and Clara, the main culprits. They all have court dates. But Charles, do you need me to file a lawsuit for you too?"

Charles frowned. "For me? I don't need any legal help!"

The Evergreen Group's legal team, though not as good as Philip's firm, was still top-notch in the industry.

Philip shrugged. "Weren't you almost married back then? If it weren't for those rumors about you having an illegitimate child, you'd be married by now."

Charles hadn't married all these years, and the Windsor Family hadn't pushed him too hard, probably because the incident back then was too serious.

Aurora was afraid Charles hadn't moved on, so she didn't bring it up.

Recently, seeing Catherine and Alexander getting along so well, Aurora was relieved but also started worrying about Charles.

Charles accidentally tore the paper with his pen. "It doesn't matter. It's all in the past."

"Recently, the Evergreen Group acquired some land, and some people are getting restless, buying up those old fake news again. Aren't you concerned?" Philip asked.

Charles put away his things and straightened his suit. "If it escalates, follow the rules and sue them. Don't worry about anything else."

Philip smiled meaningfully. "You haven't married all these years. Are you still waiting for that woman?"

"Nonsense!" Charles looked at his flawless reflection in the mirror. His face was resolute, and despite the long hours of work, he didn't look too tired. His eyes were cold and sharp.

Philip commented, "Your look makes many young women in your company swoon. If you were a bit sweeter, you would get married by now. Why not try to win back your ex-girlfriend?"

Not many could tolerate Charles's sharp tongue!

Charles glanced at him indifferently, his tone flat. "She's already married. Should I be the other man?"

"Wait! Your ex is married? That's a shame, indeed not appropriate."

The woman who almost married Charles was said to be his schoolmate, but the Windsor Family never met her. She was scared off by the rumors about Charles.

Philip felt a bit regretful, about to say something when he saw Charles stride out of the office. "Charles, where are you going?"

"To the school to apply for Catherine's course exemption."

On the other side, Catherine had just left the teaching building when she received a call from Venus.

"Miss, Richard is filming in the small village and went to check on Cloudscape Villa. But we can't reach him now!"

Richard was recently filming in the small village where Catherine grew up, and it was almost finished.

Catherine frowned. "Isn't Sophia also filming there?"

As a member of the Galactic Aurora Collective, Sophia wouldn't go missing so easily.

"Sophia is also unreachable, and her locator is in a ditch! Miss, come quickly!" Venus said.
