Chapter 55 Is Catherine Going to Debut?
"Chill out, just stick to the plan."
Oliver, being all cocky, had signed so many betting deals that he was about to lose a ton of cash.
As for the Johnson family, Catherine never gave them a second thought.
Saturn was stoked to hear her say that, almost ready to throw a party for Catherine right then and there, and said, "Sweet!"
After Catherine hung up, Charles gave a soft knock on her door.
"Come in," she said.
"Catherine, Marcus wants me to swing by Esme's school. Since you're about to start college, wanna tag along and check it out?"
Charles thought, 'I just need a reason to hang out with Catherine!'
They were all so swamped with work that even grabbing breakfast together was a rare event, let alone spending any other time with Catherine.
Catherine pondered for a sec. 'The Medical University has the most detailed top-secret files on Vitality Pills, so it's a good chance to snoop around.'
"Sure," she said.
As a top-tier school in Imperia City, the Medical University had a killer faculty. The second-best medical lab, Gavin's, was here, with the top one being George's lab.
Lucas, being wheeled around by Clara, felt the buzz of youth as soon as he rolled into the school. There were hot girls in miniskirts and doctors in white coats, instantly getting his blood pumping!
'This place is lit!' Lucas thought.
Lucas adjusted the bandages on his face, scouting for a target.
Clara noticed him ogling around, super jealous. 'Those girls were all dressed to kill, showing off their legs just to catch her Lucas's eye!'
"Catherine? What's she doing here?" Lucas, with his eagle eyes, spotted the girl stepping out of a dark purple Porsche. Her legs were long and slender, and she rocked a pair of limited-edition Quinn high heels that made her look even more stunning.
Charles tossed the car keys to his secretary, quickly catching up to walk beside Catherine, gently touching her hand.
"It's kinda chilly. I should've reminded you to bring a coat. Next time, I'll keep one in the car for you."
As he spoke, Charles chivalrously took off his suit jacket and draped it over Catherine's shoulders. She was wearing a light green chiffon dress, and with the suit, she looked both elegant and commanding.
"Thanks, Charles."
"Let's head to the admin office. I've already set up a meeting with the president of the Medical University," Charles said.
Walking beside Charles, Catherine's stunning looks and aura drew a lot of attention from the students.
Clara was fuming!
Lucas, all excited, pointed at Charles with a trembling finger,
"Him! I knew he had something to do with Catherine. He's the one who clocked me last time!"
"Lucas, was it him who hit you last time? But he looks loaded. Why would he hit you over Catherine?" Clara asked.
Lucas looked at Charles with a mix of anger and fear. Thinking about how his once handsome face was ruined because Charles was jealous of his looks, Lucas was furious and said, "Clara, Catherine only fell from grace because she couldn't marry me. Cut her some slack!"
Clara was insanely jealous that Lucas was still defending Catherine.
Catherine did look stunning now. Even when Celeste didn't let her dress up while she was with the Smith family, she still had a bunch of guys lining up for her at The Smith Villa. Now, she had snagged a rich dude.
'That green chiffon dress? Total custom piece from Quinn Couture, not something you can just buy off the rack!'
Clara, green with envy, pushed Lucas forward and blocked Catherine's way, snapping, "Catherine, how dare you have someone beat up Lucas? You owe him an apology! Even if you can't marry Lucas, you should at least wish us well. You've really let me down. Look at what you've done to him!"
Catherine was dumbfounded.
'This mummy is Lucas?'
Charles stepped in front of Catherine, his eyes cold and threatening. "Ms. Smith, I believe I warned you last time!"
Clara felt a shiver of fear.
After being blacklisted by all the malls under the Evergreen Group last time, Clara had done some digging and found out that Charles was the chairman of the Evergreen Group, worth billions!
'How does someone like him get mixed up with Catherine? She’s not better-looking than me!' Clara thought.
"You need to apologize to Lucas and cover all his medical bills! Catherine, Celeste and Oliver taught us not to bully others. Even after you left home, you kept bothering Lucas. And now, just because he rejected you, you did this to him," Clara said.
Catherine raised an eyebrow and looked at Lucas. "You think I harassed this ugly dude? Sorry, I don't have a thing for ugliness."
The surrounding students burst into laughter.
The president of the Medical University hurried over, running to Charles, and said, "Mr. Windsor, Miss Windsor, welcome to our school. The documents are ready. Please follow me."
Charles didn't even glance at Clara and Lucas, leading Catherine to the president's car and driving away.
"Was that the president of the Medical University? Why was he so respectful to Catherine?" Clara asked.
Lucas got a few texts from friends asking him to hit up a bar outside the school. He casually replied, "Who knows what these rich folks are into. Let's bounce."
Clara bit her lip, watching Catherine's departing figure with envy.
On the electronic screen of the university town mall, a luxurious poster was displayed. Catherine, in a light blue princess dress, was sitting in a garden admiring flowers, with a diamond tiara on her head, looking so stunning she could be mistaken for an international supermodel!
The screen also had a message: [Happy Birthday, Catherine Windsor!]
Clara's eyes widened! 'How could Catherine's photo be on the mall's screen, and with the last name Windsor? Could she really be related to Charles from the Evergreen Group? This is impossible!'
"Lucas, could Catherine and Charles be related?" she asked.
Lucas also saw the photo, his eyes filled with undisguised amazement!
He had always known Catherine was a beauty, but he never expected that she looked so stunning with diamonds, making it impossible to look away.
"How could they be related? Didn't Oliver say their family just raised chickens in Tranquil County? Maybe they just happen to have the same last name!" he answered.
Clara looked at the words on the poster, "Radiant Entertainment. Could Catherine have changed her stage name, planning to enter the entertainment industry?"
Radiant Entertainment was the biggest entertainment company in Imperia City, with several supermodels and award-winning actors and actresses.
If Catherine really planned to debut with Radiant Entertainment, she would quickly become a big star in the entertainment industry with her looks.
