Chapter 305 Arabella's Hidden Identity Exposed

Catherine's heart seemed to skip a beat when she saw the smile in Alexander's eyes!

She quickly looked away, nervously touched her face, and walked away briskly. "Let's go, let's head back."

Alexander followed behind Catherine, his eyes never leaving her!

In the car, Brad and Saturn were having a staring contest.

"It's been years, I can't just accept you're Saturn without a test."

Saturn raised an eyebrow. "Go ahead."

Brad cleared his throat and said seriously, "Why couldn't the bicycle stand up by itself?"

Saturn replied with a straight face, "Because it was two tired!"

Brad continued, "Why did the scarecrow win an award?"

Saturn shrugged. "Because he was outstanding in his field!"

Brad immediately high-fived Saturn! "That's right, it's you. Let's go."

Annie, who was driving, was dumbfounded. "What kind of lame jokes are these? Or have I been out of touch for so long that the world has changed?"

Catherine explained, "Brad likes this kind of stuff; just let him be."

Brad's personality was quite different from other pastors; you could say he had a youthful spirit.

He liked to read all kinds of lame jokes in his free time, something Catherine had gotten used to.

Every time, only Saturn, who shared the same interest, could keep up with Brad.

Alexander chuckled, "Mr. Thornton, your hobby is quite unique and interesting. Was it Dashiell who was stopping you earlier?"

Outside the VIP room, Alexander had run into a few business partners, so he didn't go in with Catherine.

When he saw Catherine come out, he also noticed Dashiell, who had been following Brad.

Dashiell had been called back by Owen to handle the Harrison family matters and happened to run into Brad, so it was normal that he didn't want to miss the chance.

Catherine raised an eyebrow. "He probably wants Brad to enlighten him. I think Dashiell has a lot of questions lately."

Brad waved his hand. "I can't help; never learned that. If he has questions, go to the cop, not me."

"What brings you here this time?" Saturn asked.

Brad, satisfied with the sugar-free cola Saturn had brought him, took a big gulp and burped. "I'm here to find a friend. She asked me to pray for her daughter-in-law, which I can do."

Catherine nodded, "So are you coming back to the Windsor Mansion with me, or staying at a hotel?"

Brad was silent for a moment, furrowing his brows slightly, then smiled. "I'll go to your place. Just find me a room where I can get some sun. My friend lives nearby."

Catherine knew Brad wanted to avoid trouble.

Staying with her at the Windsor Mansion meant those troublesome people wouldn't have a chance to bother him.

Alexander's eyes showed a hint of caution.

It wasn't that he disrespected Brad, but Brad was just too clean and handsome.

Given that Brad and Catherine had known each other for a long time, Alexander looked at Brad with a bit of suspicion. "The Windsor Mansion is crowded. How about you stay at my place? It's quieter."

Annie's face was full of surprise.

Alexander hated having strangers at his place. Even she only stayed over occasionally, and that was because of work, needing to pull an all-nighter. Alexander had given her a study.

A workspace for a working person, which Annie didn't want at all!

Now he was inviting Brad to stay at the Howard Mansion? Probably because of Catherine.

Catherine also raised an eyebrow, understanding Alexander's intention. "Let Brad decide."

Brad touched his smooth chin, his eyes misty, "Sure, anywhere is fine. Do you have cola at your place?"

"Yes, plenty."

"Is it close to Ms. Windsor's place?"

"Right across the street."

Brad happily went with Alexander to stay at the Howard Mansion.

Catherine looked at Alexander helplessly, her eyes full of amusement.

Did he really need to be so wary?

When they arrived at the Howard Mansion, Juniper was talking to the Howards about Paloma.

Seeing Brad enter, Felix immediately stood up from his chair, staring at him. "Mr. Thornton, what brings you here?"

Evander was also surprised, his mouth agape, looking at Brad beside Alexander!

Arabella looked at him coldly, her thin lips curling up, "Flashy, gold-trimmed robe, tacky."

Evander was about to stop his outspoken mother when Brad took a few steps forward to greet her. "Arabella! I missed you!"

Arabella rolled her eyes. "Your room is ready. Don't bother me unless necessary. Find a day to pray, then leave."

"Got it!"

Everyone was stunned! Arabella knew Brad.

Brad smiled warmly. "Arabella and I are peers. We had the same teacher. Arabella became a pastor even before I did."

Felix was surprised. "How come you never mentioned this?"

"Do I need to tell you everything? I asked Brad to come and pray for Vivienne."

Vivienne Mae was Alexander's mother.

Evander was also extremely surprised! "Mom, we didn't know any of this! Why did you have Mr. Thornton come personally to pray for Vivienne?"

Arabella said calmly, "She deserves it, and I want to. Do you have a problem with that? Originally, it was supposed to be for your wife too, but since Paloma is still alive, let Vivienne enjoy some peace in heaven."

After saying that, Arabella walked away, her back looking particularly aged, as if she had aged a lot in the past two days.

Juniper coughed twice and nudged Brad with her elbow. "What did my grandma and your teacher study?"

It wasn't surprising that Juniper was curious, given Arabella's personality, which didn't seem like that of a calm pastor.

Brad spread his hands, his handsome face full of innocence. "She didn't tell you? Then she really doesn't consider you important. Arabella studied archaeology, or more strictly speaking, tomb raiding. Oh, she used to have a partner with Owen, I think."
