Chapter 176 The Unprincipled Timothy

Juniper, being the sharp cookie she was, figured out that Catherine went to Ironclad Jail to track down the old head of Angel's Haven Orphanage. There had to be a good reason for it! Catherine braved such a dangerous place just to help her find her family.

Catherine smiled warmly, feeling all fuzzy inside.

Juniper leaned on Aurora's shoulder, pretending to be a bit troubled. "So, what now? Do I have to compete with Catherine for Mom again?"

Aurora scolded, "Don't be silly. I'm your mom. I was the one who changed your diapers and fed you when you were little. Even if your biological mom showed up, she couldn't take you away!"

The Windsor Family wanted to find Juniper's real parents, but if that day ever came, Aurora would be heartbroken to let her go. She raised Juniper, who was so smart and sensible. If her biological parents turned out to be as unreliable as Catherine's adoptive ones, Aurora wouldn't give her up for anything!

Catherine nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Juniper's great with us. I like Juniper."

Juniper's face lit up with a big smile! She turned to look at the four Windsor brothers in the back seat of the car, raising her eyebrows proudly. "Did you hear that? If you didn't, I recorded it. I'll play it on loop so you can hear who Catherine likes the most!"

Richard chimed in, "Catherine, say you like me!"

Philip added, "No way. She clearly likes me the most."

Aurora snapped, "Are you seriously competing with Juniper? She's your sister too!"

Before the boys could feel down, Aurora's tone softened, and she looked at Catherine with a grin. "Catherine, do you like me the most?"

The Windsor brothers were left speechless.

Catherine had no choice but to comfort the Windsor Family members vying for her affection.

Alexander approached the video, politely greeting everyone. "Hey, Aunt Aurora. No matter what Juniper decides, we'll respect her choice. But since it involves Uncle Evander, I also sent the recording to my grandpa. Hope you understand."

Aurora nodded. "Yeah, your grandpa should know. But Alexander, about Evander..."

Aurora's face showed a bit of disdain.

Brandon angrily said, "Aren't all the Howard Family sons like that? If Alexander turns out like his dad or Evander, he can forget about marrying Catherine in this lifetime!"

The reason the Howard Group's inheritance fell to Alexander was partly because Felix's two sons weren't very capable.

Alexander's dad went on a global trip after his wife left, showing no interest in family affairs.

Evander also lacked ambition. If the Howard Family hadn't produced a business genius in this generation, Felix might still be working!

Aurora worriedly asked, "Catherine, when are you coming home? I heard explosions from your side."

To avoid worrying Aurora, the Windsor Family didn't tell her what Ironclad Jail was.

Catherine calmly said, "They're blasting fish in the sea."

Aurora just relaxed when she heard Timothy's loud voice. "Catherine, we've caught them. A bunch of fools tried to break out of jail. Don't worry, the people you want are alive!"

Aurora was puzzled. She looked at the kids slowly, wondering if blasting fish in the sea could be that loud.

The Windsor kids quickly nodded. "Yeah, that's right, Mom. You misheard."

Aurora sighed in relief, "Come back soon, Catherine. I miss you."

"Okay." Catherine put her phone away, her smile fading as she glared at Timothy. "Can't you keep it down?"

His loud voice was about to make her ears bleed.

Timothy awkwardly scratched his head, trying to appease her. "Alright, alright. I'll keep it down."

"Where are the people?" she asked.

Timothy grinned proudly. "Hanging outside!"

Catherine had only asked for them to be alive, not necessarily in one piece!

She gave Timothy a helpless look, then turned to Alexander. "When you talked to him before, didn't you notice he had a problem?"

Alexander shrugged, giving Timothy a resigned look. He took Catherine's hand and led her out. "I did, so usually Annie deals with him. He's older, just let him be."

Every time Alexander talked to Timothy, it gave him a headache. So he let Annie handle it, but after every call with Timothy, Annie had to treat her hearing loss.

Catherine said meaningfully, "Being your assistant isn't easy."

Alexander laughed, looking at her with affection. "If you care for her, you could marry me sooner. However long our honeymoon is, that's how long her vacation will be."

Catherine shot him down. "Forget what I said."

Alexander watched her walk away quickly, knowing she was just shy, and chuckled before catching up.

Outside the tower, a tall woman with short hair in camouflage approached Timothy. "Timothy, is Nightfall here? Why didn't you tell me?"

Timothy spat out his cigarette butt, speaking coldly. "Get lost, Danielle Jenkins. I'm not your secretary. Besides, Nightfall is here with his fiancée. Should I tell you so you can send a wedding gift?"

Danielle's expression shifted from anticipation to shock. "No, Timothy, are you joking?"

Timothy gave her a cold look. "Who do you think you are? Do you deserve my jokes?"

Catherine's voice came from behind them. "Didn't I tell you to keep it down? No manners."

Timothy immediately changed his expression, smiling. "Right, keep it down."

Danielle's eyes were fixed on Alexander, finally seeing him again. "Nightfall."

Alexander put his arm around Catherine's waist, leaning close to her, his voice gentle. "Are you angry or shy?"

"Neither, I just think you have delusions." Catherine never mentioned marrying Alexander; it was all in his head.

Alexander tapped her nose affectionately. "Okay, it's my delusion. Do you want to help me see what medicine I should take?"

Timothy shivered, annoyed. "I think you should take poison and die. Can't you see my granddaughter is annoyed?"

But since Catherine didn't push Alexander away, Timothy knew he was the only one annoyed, thinking young people were so improper!

Seeing Danielle's eyes almost glued to Alexander, Timothy knew she had bad intentions.

In the past, Timothy might have enjoyed the drama. But now, anyone who dared to take anything or anyone from Catherine, he'd kill them first! Timothy coldly looked at Danielle. "Did you see that? If you want to send a wedding gift, transfer it to my account. If it's anything else, get lost!"
