Chapter 288 Paloma's Multiple Personalities

Emilia was stunned.

She brushed her curly hair behind her ear and smiled seductively. "You don't understand, sometimes just liking someone isn't enough. Besides, I like you too, Jessa."

Emilia was the kind of bold and passionate beauty, with a fiery personality that made her irresistibly charming.

Jessa had only ever seen such beauties on TV!

Being teased and confessed to by Emilia made Jessa's face turn completely red!

"If Dr. Windsor and I were classmates, he would be the teacher's favorite, and I would be the teacher's worst nightmare. We probably wouldn't be a good match." Emilia hid the slight disappointment and melancholy in her eyes. "Besides, he deserves someone better, at least not me."

She was now a mafia princess living on the edge, and George, a brilliant and noble doctor, was someone she never dared to dream of!

Emilia ruffled Jessa's hair, "I have to go now, I'll see you next time."

"Aren't you going to invite Dr. Windsor to dinner?"

"I said that, but he doesn't know. What's wrong with us beauties being a bit capricious?" Emilia was in pain all over and didn't want to wait here for George. What if she saw his face and had some inappropriate thoughts?

Aurora treated her so well, and Catherine and Juniper also considered her a friend. Emilia smiled lightly.

She sighed and muttered bitterly to herself, "I can't be ungrateful."

Someone like her couldn't drag George down into the abyss with her.

The Windsors were so good to her, it would be heartless to drag George down!

Emilia irritably ruffled her long hair and made a decisive decision. "I won't come to this hospital anymore. I'll just find another one. I'm leaving now, I'll treat you to dinner next time!"

"Goodbye, Ms. Hughes?"

Emilia grabbed her bag and left in a hurry, as if someone was chasing her.

At the office, Gavin looked at the woman sitting across from him.

Paloma was wearing a long dress and a string of white pearls, giving off a serene and comfortable vibe, like a gentle spring breeze.

Gavin smiled, "Ms. Harrison, we meet again. No need to be nervous. Ms. Windsor has been learning medicine from me recently. Just think of her as my intern."

Catherine discreetly stepped on Gavin's foot under the table. He really thought of her as his student.

Gavin's medical skills, compared to Catherine's, made it unclear who was teaching whom, but it was a good excuse.

Paloma's gaze was gentle, and she looked at Catherine with a hint of affection. "Ms. Windsor is so smart. If I had such a smart and beautiful daughter, I would be so happy. I also have a very cute daughter."

Catherine looked at Paloma in surprise, "You have a daughter too?"

Paloma nodded, her delicate eyebrows showing a bit of tenderness, and her voice was soft and gentle. "Yes, I have a very cute daughter, but I don't know where she is. I looked for her at home but couldn't find her."

"I'm very afraid they'll say I imagined it, Ms. Windsor. My mental state isn't good, so I don't want to worry my father."

Catherine looked at Paloma and suddenly said, "Ms. Harrison, do you remember what Juniper ate the last time we went to the estate?"

"Last time? Ms. Juniper Windsor ate macarons. That was our first meeting."

Catherine nodded knowingly, her gaze complex.

"Ms. Harrison, do you remember Evander?"

Paloma was a bit surprised, but seeing Catherine's routine inquiry, she began to think. "I remember, but we separated many years ago. You and Mr. Alexander Howard are engaged, so you probably met Mr. Evander Howard, right? How is he now?"

"He's doing well."

Paloma nodded and sighed lightly, lowering her eyes, "That's good."

"You showed me a photo of Mr. Harrison when he was young. He was very handsome."

"Did I? I seem to have forgotten."

When Catherine and Juniper first went to the Harrison family's estate, Juniper didn't eat macarons, but it was clear Paloma had forgotten.

Catherine didn't ask further and handed Gavin a test sheet. "Just follow this sheet for the tests. Goodbye, Ms. Harrison ."

Paloma politely thanked her, took the sheet, put on her shawl, and gracefully left the office.

Gavin asked. "Why did you order a special test?"

"I think a special test for dissociative phenomena is necessary."

Gavin was surprised for a moment and clicked his tongue, "You suspect she has a split personality? But after all these years, I never noticed!"

Catherine said seriously, "Her two personalities are very similar, but their accents and awareness are completely different, with huge differences."

Catherine recalled every time she met Paloma, thinking Paloma's memory had discrepancies. "The medical records show she has severe amnesia, frequent dizziness, and tinnitus, and has been hospitalized multiple times for severe episodes."

"But every time she stays in the hospital for a few days, she gets better. I think it's because one personality is sick while the other is not."

Gavin was still a bit shocked. "Dissociative identity disorder usually appears under significant stress. Ms. Harrison never had such an opportunity!"

From Gavin's interactions with Paloma, the Harrison family protected her very well. How could such a major incident cause a split personality to happen?

Catherine said calmly, "There is! She said she has a daughter."

"What does that prove? Couldn't it be a delusion of one personality?"

"No, she really has a daughter, so it should be a severe stress during childbirth that caused the split personality." Catherine sighed. "I guess her main personality knows she has a child but lost her. So, a second personality emerged to help her forget everything."

Gavin was full of questions. "Are you saying she really has a daughter? How come I didn't know!"

Catherine said irritably, "You're not her daughter's father, what do you know?"

Gavin widened his eyes, "But you're not either! How do you know?"

Catherine said calmly, "Isn't it normal for me to know more than you?"

Catherine packed up her things and left, with Gavin calling after her. "Remember to come to me with the treatment plan! Where are you going?"

Catherine's voice was light and cheerful. "Going to have dinner with my friend and see if Tiberius is really dead."

Gavin was even more puzzled. Wasn't Alexander Catherine's fiancé? How did he become a friend?

'Do young people nowadays call their boyfriends that?' Gavin thought.
