Chapter 92 Playing Games in the Middle of the Night

"You've been getting up at 2 AM every night for a week to play games. Each time you play for two to three hours. You didn't play last Friday night. Did something happen?" Catherine asked.

Felix, looking really anxious, replied, "Last Friday, I definitely went to bed early!"

Catherine shook her head, clicked on Felix's game account, opened the account's hidden program, and tracked the login times through the data. She restored all the deleted information.

"Last Friday, you were probably playing games with Marcus. His game console showed it was running all night," Catherine said.

Marcus, realizing his console had no secrets from Catherine, started secretly reading comics instead.

Alexander frowned, looking at Felix with a mix of worry and anger. "Grandpa, Catherine works hard every time she makes your medicine. If you keep being so irresponsible, she won't take care of you anymore."

'Felix's medicine isn't complicated, but Catherine always makes it herself. Every time I arrive outside the Moon Laboratory, it's almost always late at night when I finally catch a glimpse of her. And every time I see the faint dark circles under Catherine's eyes, I feel both heartbroken and touched. Yet Felix is still so disobedient!' Alexander thought.

"Alright, I'll behave from now on. It's just that the game is so interesting. I couldn't pass the level, and the more I thought about it, the more I couldn't sleep. So I woke Marcus up to study it together, and neither of us ended up sleeping," Felix explained.

Catherine was speechless, thinking, 'Is there any reason not to sleep anymore? The games Felix plays are just some small games I developed out of boredom, meant to pass the time. I didn't expect Mars and the others to take them, turn them into proper game apps, and make them popular, earning quite a bit of money in the process.'

Alexander disapproved, "Grandpa, that's not an excuse for your behavior. Catherine is a doctor, and Prof. Gavin has also told you to rest well. And you neglect that just to play some games?"

Felix, who had been a decisive and formidable character all his life, felt a bit embarrassed being scolded by Alexander.

"You don't understand. That game is really hard. Even you wouldn't be able to pass it," Felix said as he rolled his eyes and shoved the game console into Alexander's hands. "If you can pass the level in half an hour, I'll promise not to get up at night to play games!"

Alexander gave him a helpless look, thinking Felix was getting old and starting to play childish tricks.

"This game is a two-player game. You and Catherine play together. If you two can pass the level in half an hour, I'll behave from now on," Felix said, thinking, 'The game is very difficult. Even studying it every day doesn't guarantee passing the level. And now they only have half an hour. Alexander usually doesn't like playing games. Besides making money, he has no other hobbies, so he definitely won't pass. As for Catherine, I have previously asked a few young nurses at the hospital to play the game, and they can't even pass the first level. Even if Catherine is very smart, she can't possibly pass all the levels! Then I can play games freely in the future!' Alexander saw right through Felix's intentions and picked up the game console. He looked at Catherine and said, "Can you play a round with me? I'm really sorry Felix is causing you trouble."

Catherine pursed her lips and skillfully connected her game console to Alexander's. "Let's start."

Felix quickly ran over to call Marcus, who was still secretly reading comics, to watch.

It was a puzzle game designed by Catherine, but each level was simulated like a battlefield. It required very strict logic to pass, and each level was cleverly designed.

She and Alexander sat together, each controlling their own game console. They didn't exchange many words but were very in sync.

Alexander smiled, his movements smooth as he thought, 'It's my first time playing a game with Catherine, and through the game strategy, I can sense her personality. In many areas, she has rare sharpness and aggressiveness. From the way she retrieves Felix's gaming data, it seems she knows more than I imagined. It seems like I've found a great person.'

Ten minutes later, the game screen showed [Level Cleared.]

Felix and Marcus, who had played the game themselves and knew how difficult it was, were wide-eyed in disbelief.

"You actually only took ten minutes to clear the level!" Marcus grinned at Catherine. "Catherine, have you played this game before?"

Catherine shook her head. "No."

Although she had developed the game, Mars and the others had upgraded and modified it, so it was her first time playing the finished version.

"Catherine is really smart!" Marcus said, very pleased, thinking, 'Clearing the game quickly can only mean Catherine has very sharp tactics and strong reflexes. No wonder she is my granddaughter!'

Alexander put away the game console and handed it directly to the bodyguard standing behind him, ordering, "From now on, Felix can only play games for two hours a day, and only during the day."

"Yes, sir!"

Felix was on the verge of tears as he thought, 'It is my own bet. Who knew they were so smart! Only two hours of gaming a day? That is torture!'

"Catherine, when can I be discharged? Can I leave tomorrow?" Felix asked, just wanting to go home and play games, thinking that once home, Alexander couldn't control him.

"Next month. But if you keep staying up late, it might be next year," Catherine said.

Felix, anxious at the thought of possibly being discharged next year, said, "No, no! I definitely won't stay up late. Remember to come get me next month!"

Marcus lifted his foot and kicked Felix's butt. "What kind of behavior is that? Catherine will come to get me discharged, not you."

"What's wrong with getting me? Don't start trouble. If you hadn't dragged me to play games at night, Catherine wouldn't have found out," Felix said.

Marcus, feeling Catherine's gaze, was afraid of being implicated and hurriedly defended himself. "Don't talk nonsense. I sleep early every night. Who dragged you to play games? Your skills are so bad. Playing with you is a waste of time."

"You didn't play games? Right, you get up at night to read comics. You're going to hurt your eyes,"

Catherine frowned slightly, looking seriously at Marcus. "Grandpa, I'll take all your comics when I leave. You should rest well before being discharged."

Hearing that all his comics would be taken away, Marcus looked pitifully at Catherine and pleaded, "Can you leave me just one?"
