Chapter 224 Obsessed with Her, Mad for Her
The private room went dead quiet for a moment.
The guy next to Vincent clearly wasn't buying his story. "A good kid? Come on, we all know what kind of training Catherine went through. You call Franklin a madman, but you weren't exactly gentle during training either."
"That was all Catherine's choice," Vincent replied.
The first thing Vincent taught Catherine wasn't how to play the violin—it was how to kill!
When Catherine first took out those people who had taken money from the Brown Family and Vincent left her stranded at the border, she completely transformed!
Vincent had never seen such a tough kid!
With tears in her eyes, she told Vincent, "As long as it makes me stronger, I can give up anything!"
Catherine was also a miracle created by the Galactic Aurora Collective.
Without any drugs to boost her brain, the Galactic Aurora Collective managed to cultivate an ultimate genius!
Those training methods were brutal, and at first, the people of the Galactic Aurora Collective didn't see Catherine as their leader.
But after seeing where Catherine trained, they joined in and found themselves totally outclassed!
Later, Catherine led them away from the original place of the Galactic Aurora Collective, and those people became her loyal followers and partners!
The guy next to Vincent sneered again, "You had already decided to leave the old place and put this favor on Catherine, just to make the current people of the Galactic Aurora Collective support her. Going to such lengths for a little girl, you all must be really bored."
Vincent didn't find it boring at all; in fact, there was a hint of pride in his voice! "What do you know? You have no idea how amazing Catherine is!"
'She is our best student. So what if she wants the stars in the sky? If we can't get the stars, it's our own incompetence, not Catherine's high demands,' Vincent thought.
The guy next to him was clearly at a loss for words due to Vincent's doting tone, wondering what kind of magic this Catherine had.
The private room fell silent again.
In another private room, Alexander leisurely watched the numbers on the electronic screen. "I need this information. Raise the bid for me, no matter the cost."
"Okay."
The info Alexander wanted to buy was about recent activities in a famous economic development zone.
It seemed like normal business info, and not many people were interested, but there was one private room constantly competing with Catherine's bid.
The price stopped at $6.5 million.
Catherine didn't raise the bid any further. "This info isn't worth that much. Are you sure you want to keep bidding?"
"Whatever you say," Alexander replied.
'Clearly, he wants to outmaneuver the Howard Family, so why am I making the decision?' Catherine thought as she glanced at him lightly. "Did you release this info?"
"Yes, you really are in sync with me," Alexander said.
The Howards knew Alexander best, and he knew them just as well.
Since Alexander knew what they were interested in and had this info, selling it wasn't a big deal.
He also owned the land in the economic development zone. He didn't mind transferring the money from the Howard Family into his own pocket.
Alexander was a pro at this kind of thing and knew exactly how to bankrupt them.
Alexander didn't like to take them out quickly; he preferred to watch them see their hard-earned wealth go down the drain!
Those people had hurt his mother for money, so he would take their money without hesitation! Once Alexander had had his fun, it would be time to reel them in.
Catherine commented bluntly, "You're ruthless."
"Thanks for the compliment."
The auction wrapped up quickly, and Alexander helped Catherine put on her mask again, taking her hand as they left the private room.
As soon as they stepped out, Catherine felt several gazes on her, making her uncomfortable, feeling like someone was secretly watching her.
Alexander also noticed the unfriendly stares and pulled Catherine into his arms, glancing at those people.
Even with a mask on, those familiar with him could recognize him!
Seeing his murderous and cold gaze, those unfriendly looks quickly retreated.
A cold laugh came from one of the private rooms behind them.
In one of the rooms, a portly middle-aged man was holding a cigar, watching the two leave.
"Alexander is just exposing his weakness to me. The more he cares about Catherine Windsor, the more it excites me."
"If Alexander saw Catherine die in front of him, just as he did with his mother, would he go mad?"
The people around him burst into laughter.
"If Alexander went mad that easily, it would be great. It would be his good fortune!"
"True, Alexander is even more ruthless than his grandfather."
"Do you really want to go after Catherine? Aren't you afraid the Windsor Family will come after you?"
The middle-aged man chuckled. "They'll trouble Alexander first, teaching him to respect his elders. Back then, he didn't dare make a sound when his mother died right in front of him. I want to see his reaction if Catherine dies in front of him!"
The person next to him nodded. "Then let's arrange it."
Discussing such matters was still casual, as if they were talking about something trivial!
The private room fell silent again.
Backstage, Catherine and Alexander, as the information providers, sent out the information they had sold.
Vincent walked up. "Catherine, I have to go. Take the violin back and just throw it in any trash can."
Catherine was speechless. "Throw it away?"
Vincent waved dismissively. "It's just trash, or I wouldn't have given it away! If you can't, sell it in your music store. It annoys me."
"I got it."
Vincent came and went quickly, leaving after giving these instructions.
Starry Residence, The Windsor Mansion.
The car stopped at the entrance, and Catherine unbuckled her seatbelt and got out.
Alexander had no intention of getting out. "There's an issue at the company I need to check on. You've had a long day, get some rest."
Catherine raised an eyebrow at him. "I don't think you can handle any more stress."
What a disobedient patient!
Alexander took her hand and kissed the back of it. "Then I won't go. My grandpa can handle it."
Felix's body could handle a couple of days of stress.
Seeing Catherine frown slightly because of him filled Alexander with joy and he wondered whether this meant Catherine was starting to care about him.
Catherine pulled her hand back. "I'll come to change your bandages tomorrow."
"Okay, I'll be waiting."
Turning away, Catherine walked briskly back to her room. As soon as she entered, she saw someone on her bed!
