Chapter 347 Want to Break Up? Emilia Is Really Bold!

"I like it."

Catherine propped her chin on her hand, watching Arabella from across the table. She knew Arabella never meant any harm. It was just her way; she always managed to say things in the most annoying way possible.

After the whole mess with Alexander's mom and Paloma, Arabella was beating herself up. She thought maybe she was just bad luck, bringing trouble to her family.

Felix took a sip of his drink. "Why didn't you say anything about this?"

Arabella rolled her eyes. "What was I supposed to say? So you could find out after all these years that I'm just a big ol' ball of self-pity?"

"I told Owen about Allan. He'll take care of it." Since the Harrisons brought Allan in, they should be the ones to deal with it!

Brad, who was also at the table, looked up. "Need any help?"

Aurora had invited Brad to the Windsor family dinner. Brad figured if Aurora invited him, Catherine must be cool with it, and the Windsor family meals were always top-notch, so he didn't think twice about coming!

Juniper quickly shook her head. "No need, Brad. This is a family thing; you don't have to get involved."

Brad scratched his head. "Hey, I'm your friend. Your problems are my problems. I wanna help."

Catherine glanced at him, her voice cool. "Just say it."

"I heard Owen's got a bunch of rare collectibles. I'd love to check them out."

Brad was crazy about antiques! Owen was the biggest antique collector in Imperia City. Brad was using the whole helping thing as an excuse to see the antiques!

Hearing this, Juniper didn't argue anymore. "Alright, you can come with me!"

"Thanks, Ms. Windsor."

Aurora smiled and handed Emilia a box. "Here, a little something for you!"

Emilia was surprised; she didn't expect a gift just for showing up to dinner! "Oh, you didn't have to. It's not like it's my first time here... Why the gift now?"

Aurora glanced at George. "It's different. Before, you were just friends with Catherine and Juniper. Now you're George's girlfriend. I've been planning gifts for each of my daughters-in-law for ten years. It's yours to keep!"

Emilia blushed, speaking without thinking. "Okay, I'll take it. But if George and I break up, I'll give it back so you can pass it on to the next one..."

The table went silent!

Juniper rubbed her forehead. "Emilia, not only is my mom's gift yours to keep, but you can't just talk about breaking up like that! Aren't you worried George will be upset?"

In a family like the Windsors, gifts for future daughters-in-law were never taken back.

Emilia was taken aback. "Dr. Windsor won't be mad!"

She glanced at George, who still had that gentle smile, feeling a bit guilty.

George placed a peeled shrimp in Emilia's bowl, calmly wiping his hands. "I'm not mad, but I have no plans to break up with you."

"I didn't mean now. I meant if you ever stop liking me. Who can predict these things?"

Brandon chimed in. "Look at me and Aurora, Samuel and Grace, we've been together forever and still going strong! My dad and Felix have been through a lot and never split!"

Philip chimed in, "Well, Grandpa did get divorced."

"But they spent a lifetime together. Even if you end up splitting, it's when you're old and gray. By then, who knows who'll kick the bucket first, right?"

Emilia was left speechless.

Marcus snapped, "Brandon! What kind of nonsense are you spouting?"

Only someone as bold and outspoken as Brandon would dare say such things!

Brandon quickly backtracked. "I didn't mean anything bad. Emilia just seems a bit unsure about relationships and marriage, right?"

"Live in the moment. Pretend you're a rebel and enjoy dating George! If you think George is the one, marry him. If not, send him back! I'll set you up with someone else!"

Brandon glanced at his sons. "Not to brag, but I've got plenty of sons!"

Brandon's antics thoroughly entertained Emilia. She leaned against George, laughing so hard she nearly cried!

Seeing her laugh, Brandon shot George a knowing look, silently boasting, "See? I'm the expert here. You're still learning how to charm women!"

Everyone at the table could tell Emilia was a bit upset, trying to smile through it. Yesterday's incident with Inigo was still on her mind.

Opening the box Aurora gave her, she found a jade bracelet and a bank card. Aurora stood up and handed Alexander a similar box.

"Alexander gets one too. Whether you're a daughter-in-law or son-in-law, it's the same!"

Alexander stood, accepting it with both hands, sincerely saying, "Thank you, Mrs. Windsor. I'm honored!"

The gift wasn't extravagant, but to Alexander, it was the Windsor family's recognition—and Catherine's approval!

Marcus spoke up. "Emilia, let the past go. Don't overthink it! George is a good guy. If he ever mistreats you, come to me, and I'll have your back!"

Felix whispered, "And me! Remember to play chess with me. If George acts up, I'll help you set him straight!"

"Alright! I got it!"

Philip started stirring things up. "Charles, George has a girlfriend. When are you bringing one home?"

Charles shot him a glare. "Just eat your food."

With the topic raised, Aurora joined in, "You're going on a date tomorrow. I've arranged it! Don't wait until Catherine and Alexander have kids while you're still single!"

Catherine looked at Aurora, a bit helpless. She and Alexander had just started dating; having kids was still a long way off.

Charles, tired of the conversation, reluctantly agreed.

After dinner, Catherine needed to handle some Galactic Aurora Collective business, so she took Alexander to her study. Just as they reached the corner, Alexander suddenly pulled Catherine's wrist, drawing her behind the wall, placing a finger to his lips.

"Someone's over there, quiet..."

He was so close that Catherine could feel Alexander's breath on her face...

Around the corner, George leaned in close to Emilia. "Repeat what you just said."

"Thinking about breaking up with me? You've got some nerve!"
