Chapter 329 The Whole Family Mobilizes to Demand an Explanation from Catherine

"If this is how your school operates, then I don't think I belong here anymore."

With that, Catherine slung her bag over her shoulder and walked out.

The look of disdain and disappointment in her eyes pierced Franklin's heart!

Catherine was clearly the victim here!

But Franklin, having only heard one side of the story, tried to use his authority to force Catherine to accept an apology.

He didn't care about the truth at all.

Whether it was the discomfort of being reprimanded by someone younger or the regret of knowing the truth, Franklin's face turned red!

He glanced at Lyra, who was staring at her feet, and Otis, who was still standing by.

If he defended Lyra now, he'd only embarrass himself further!

Otis spoke earnestly.

"Mr. Morales, Catherine is exceptionally talented. Her abilities are a treasure that should be cherished! It's been a long time since I've seen a student with her level of talent. The last one who could compare is now writing code for missiles."

Receiving such praise from Otis showed just how extraordinary Catherine's talent was!

As the leader of the first generation of the Galactic Aurora Collective, Franklin probably knew Catherine's capabilities even better than Otis.

But because of this, he saw Catherine as the stronger party and Lyra as the weaker one. Why couldn't Catherine just let Lyra have her way?

Otis, however, wasn't leaving and continued speaking.

"Mr. Morales, if an ordinary student couldn't prove their innocence in this way, would you just let it go? The truth and fairness are clear to everyone!"

Otis shook his head and gave Lyra a meaningful look.

"Twisting the truth and making up lies! Is this the kind of student that fits Imperial University's academic principles?"

Franklin knew Otis was pressuring him.

In this situation, if he continued to protect Lyra, it would definitely cause trouble.

But thinking of his old friendship with Lyra's parents, Franklin forced himself to say, "I understand the situation, Otis. You don't need to worry about it!"

Otis knew Franklin's character. After leaving the office, he called Samuel.

"Samuel, your granddaughter is being wronged! Are you going to help her or not?"

Samuel's voice immediately rose.

"Which granddaughter are you talking about? Catherine or Juniper?"

"Who else could it be? I'm at Imperial University, so of course, it's your granddaughter here."

Otis quickly explained what had happened at the school.

He added, "Your granddaughter is really impressive! You're lucky to have such an outstanding descendant!"

Samuel was very pleased with the compliment.

"Franklin is such a jerk! Why should Catherine have to give in to anyone? He said there was an apology, but I don't think that kid had any intention of apologizing to Catherine!"

"It seems that way. Are you going to do something about it?"

"Of course! I'm heading to Imperial University right now. I want to see what Franklin is up to!"

Samuel hung up and stormed out the door!

At the school gate.

Brandon's car had just arrived when his secretary peeked out and cheerfully said, "Mr. Brandon Windsor, Ms. Catherine Windsor got into Mr. Howard's car."

Not far ahead, Catherine had just bent down to get into a car parked by the roadside. The secretary recognized it as Alexander's car!

Brandon smiled broadly.

"Great, Alexander is so busy but still remembers to pick up Catherine. He must really care about her!"

"More than that, Mr. Howard even brought flowers, roses that Ms. Windsor likes."

Just picking her up from school, and he brought flowers?

Brandon's smile grew even wider!

As he was still smiling, the secretary suddenly exclaimed, "Mr. Windsor, why is Mr. Martinez here at the school?"

"What? Quick, let me out! Is Dad here to pick up Catherine, too? We can't let him come all this way for nothing!"

Catching up to Samuel, Brandon smiled and said, "Dad, Catherine left with Alexander. What brings you here?"

Samuel snorted.

"And you can still smile? Catherine was bullied at school! They bullied her and then expected her to forgive them. She was really wronged!"

Just thinking about it on the way made Samuel's heart ache.

Catherine had been living on her own for so long, handling everything by herself and never complaining.

If Otis hadn't called him, who knows how long this would have been kept under wraps!

After hearing Samuel's account, Brandon's smile vanished completely!

"Fuck! Do they think they can just walk all over Catherine because she's nice? I'm going to get justice for her!"

"Dad, you're getting on in years. Let me handle this. You sit back, and I'll get an explanation for Catherine!"

Brandon, nearly losing his temper, dragged Samuel into the school.

In Alexander's car.

The scenery outside flew by.

Catherine looked at the bouquet of roses in her hands, her gaze falling on the small cuts on Alexander's fingers.

"Don't tell me you picked these flowers from your own garden."

Alexander smiled gently. "Yeah, it's my first time arranging flowers. They don't look great, but I'll do better next time."

Catherine knew it. Alexander himself arranged the slightly crooked bouquet in her hands!

"It's okay, I like them a lot. But you didn't need to bring flowers just to pick me up from school."

"I saw the flowers blooming beautifully in the garden when I left. I thought you'd like them. I think I saw Uncle Shen's car earlier. Shouldn't we say hi?"

Catherine shook her head.

"Dad texted me saying he had some business at the school and told me to go with you."

As a well-known entrepreneur who had donated two buildings to Imperial University, it was normal for Brandon to have business there.

Alexander handed Catherine a thermos he had prepared in advance.

Inside was warm milk, still emitting a rich, creamy aroma. It was clear Alexander had prepared it specially for her.

Worried that Catherine might be hungry after class, he had packed plenty of snacks in the car.

Feeling Alexander's thoughtfulness, Catherine's heart warmed.

Sipping the milk, Catherine's phone rang.

Arabella's voice came through the receiver.

"Catherine, your grandpa said Franklin made you suffer?"

"Even though your grandpa and dad are there, I need to go too. I'm old, so it doesn't matter if I go down with Franklin!"

Hearing Arabella's words, Catherine realized that both Samuel and Brandon had gone to stand up for her!

Feeling the love from her family, Catherine's heart gradually settled, filled with warmth.

"Grandma, thank you. But your health is more important than Mr. Morales."

"No way! I'm heading to the school right now to stand up for you! Felix, bring my shovel!"

Felix grumbled, "What do you need that for? Going to kill someone at the school? You can't do that these days!"

Arabella was furious.

"I'm going to dig a grave for Franklin right there! I'm going to end him! He's not even human, bullying kids at his age!"
