Chapter 169 If You Miss Catherine, Just Send Her a Huge Sum of Money

The Windsor family was all in tears, and Catherine was the one going around, trying to comfort everyone.

What really broke the Windsor brothers' hearts was knowing how tough Catherine's and Elodie's lives had been.

Charles gently ruffled Catherine's hair, feeling a deep ache inside. How could Windsor kids have lived like that?

Charles looked at Catherine with a serious expression. "Catherine, from now on, we're gonna protect you."

Catherine gave a soft smile. "Okay."

Marcus wiped his tears, stood up, and handed a USB drive to Catherine. "Catherine, this is Elodie's video. Make a copy and bring it tomorrow. It might be useful."

Seeing Marcus's determined look, Catherine suddenly thought, 'Could grandma have something to do with Ironclad Jail? Is this related to what she was hiding from me? From the way she talked, it seems like she knew I was a Windsor when she recorded the video.'

Catherine pushed her doubts aside and didn't ask more. She nodded and took the USB drive. "Got it."

After giving his instructions, Marcus turned and went upstairs. His back looked so defeated, like he'd been hit hard.

Brandon hugged Aurora, crying like a baby. "Aurora, Elodie knew she was my mom. I'm not motherless! Elodie even helped raise Catherine, but they had such a tough life."

"Alright, let's make it up to Catherine now and move Elodie's grave to the Windsor Family cemetery, okay?" Aurora suggested.

Brandon had the same thought but was worried Elodie might not be happy about it. "Catherine, would your grandma be okay with that?"

Catherine thought for a moment and nodded. "Grandma would want to be with you and me. She knows about you. She's a good person and wouldn't hold a grudge. I don't know what happened between her and grandpa, but she wouldn't blame you or my brothers."

Brandon started crying again!

Catherine, so understanding and kind, had been raised to be such a good person by Elodie in such a harsh environment.

"Honey, let's bring grandma back tomorrow! And let's visit Juniper in Tranquil County. One of our daughters has already had it rough; we can't let the other one suffer in the mountains!" Brandon said.

"Alright, I'll go with you," Aurora agreed.

After seeing the video in the group chat, Juniper buried her head in her blanket, crying for a long time.

'Catherine and grandma had such a hard life. Just thinking about it is heartbreaking. No wonder Catherine is so good at taking care of people; they were rely on each other.' Juniper picked up her phone, thought for a long time, and didn't know what to say, so she just transferred a large sum of money to Catherine, thinking money would speak louder than words.

Catherine looked at the sudden influx of money on her phone, puzzled why Juniper sent it.

Juniper: [It's all for you. It's my research bonus from last quarter. I'll keep making money and buy you more good stuff! Spend it!]

A bunch of kiss emojis followed.

Juniper: [Buy whatever you want. If you run out of money, come to me. If I run out of money, I'll rob a bank to support you!]

Catherine laughed and accepted the money.

Catherine: [Thanks, but no need to rob a bank. I have money. If you run out of research funds, just come to me.]

Honestly, even without the Galactic Aurora Collective's assets, Catherine was loaded just from the cards given by the Windsor Family and Alexander.

Juniper: [No worries, if I run out of money, I'll just kidnap Evander. He's got plenty!]

Juniper posted a screenshot of her transfer in the group chat: [Seriously, didn't you guys send money to Catherine? Such stingy men.]

The Windsor Family members were quick on the uptake.

Catherine's phone started pinging with one transfer notification after another.

Juniper laughed as she also got several texts, notifying her of transfers from the Windsor Family members.

The next morning, everyone in the Windsor Family was applying ice packs to their eyes to reduce the swelling.

A helicopter landed on the lawn, and Alexander's long coat flapped in the wind as he walked towards the Windsor Mansion, looking all noble and sharp. His eyes had this intense pressure, and his whole vibe was cold and intimidating, making everyone uneasy!

But when he saw Catherine, his eyes softened with infinite tenderness.

Aurora quickly invited Alexander inside. "Come in, Alexander. Come in and eat. You'll be responsible for Catherine's safety these next few days!"

"Don't worry, I'll definitely protect Catherine," Alexander said.

The Windsor brothers snorted, feeling uneasy, but they couldn't go to Ironclad Jail themselves. If they could, they wouldn't let Catherine go to such a dangerous place!

Charles said coldly, "Mr. Howard, if anything happens to Catherine, the Howard Group will pay for it."

Brandon snapped, "Shut up! If you can't speak properly, then be quiet! If you talk about something happening and paying for it again, I'll beat you to death!"

Brandon picked up the ice pack beside him and threw it at Charles.

Charles caught it without a word and kept applying the ice pack to his eyes.

Alexander found it somewhat amusing. He walked over to Catherine and sat down beside her, eating breakfast slowly.

Catherine and Alexander were both thinking about Ironclad Jail, so they didn't eat much. The Windsor Family was also in a hurry to go to Osflow to move Elodie's grave, so they quickly finished their meal.

After breakfast, several cars from the Windsor Family drove out of the mansion, and Catherine and Alexander's helicopter headed towards Ironclad Jail.

Ironclad Jail.

The most dangerous area on the border, where a pitch-black international prison stood. It held super criminals, notorious drug lords, and arms dealers who would spend the rest of their lives there!

In Ironclad Jail, no one had secrets. Only those who revealed all their hidden secrets could die; otherwise, they faced brutal torture!

Prisoners with chains on their ankles walked around the huge courtyard. Outside the high walls, there was no trace of light. It was a giant cage.

The helicopter hovered in the sky.

Catherine looked down at Ironclad Jail and asked, "Where's the meeting point?"

"Inside. These are all ordinary prisoners, drug traffickers, human smugglers, or serial killers," Alexander replied.

In Ironclad Jail, such prisoners could only stay in the outermost layer. To get close to the core area of the prison, one had to cross a turbulent river.

In the middle of the river, a small island-like place was isolated from the world.

Inside Ironclad Jail, the prisoners were all those who could be executed multiple times in their own countries.

From above, it could be seen that sharks occasionally swam in the river.

Catherine looked down and frowned. "We're being targeted by a dozen snipers!"
