Chapter 248 They Dare to Cyberbully Catherine!

The more Charles thought about it, the more uneasy he got. "Even though Alexander is Catherine's fiancé, crashing here seems kinda off!"

Catherine quickly realized Charles had the wrong idea. "Charles, he got hurt and just slept on the couch last night."

When Charles heard that Alexander only slept on the couch, he relaxed a lot.

Marcus and Felix, though, found the whole thing pretty funny.

Felix, in particular, was grinning from ear to ear, thinking that Alexander had finally made a move with Catherine, already imagining names for his great-grandchild.

But when Felix heard Alexander just slept on the couch, he looked pretty bummed out. He thought, 'With such a gorgeous fiancée, and he slept on the couch?'

The Windsor Family had switched up their maid, and breakfast had a whole new vibe.

Marcus just wanted to chill in his golden years and not stress about anything.

Charles, looking for some validation, said, "Catherine, handle the household matters as you see fit. I'll have the butler take care of everything, so you can just focus on your studies!"

"Okay," Catherine replied.

George glanced at his phone, his eyelid twitching a bit. He suppressed his annoyance and composed himself.

After Marcus and Felix finished breakfast and went to play chess, George handed the phone to Charles. "Charles, someone posted stuff about Catherine online, trying to stir up trouble. I've already handled it and am tracking the IP address."

Charles raised an eyebrow, thinking those people must have a death wish to mess with Catherine.

Someone had posted a video of Catherine playing the violin yesterday, and it had gotten some attention online.

Charles's eyelid twitched as he read the nasty comments about Catherine. Seeing her eating across from him, he felt a deep pity. She had endured so much growing up, and now these people were still trashing her. Catherine had gone through so much growing up, and now these people were still trashing her!

"Catherine, don't worry. How about we skip school today? Let me deal with this first," Charles said.

Catherine smiled gently and shook her head firmly. "Charles, did you forget what I said? I'm also a member of the Windsor Family. It's great to have your support, but I want to stand beside you too."

Charles was moved to tears, thinking Catherine truly was a Windsor.

George also got a bit emotional. "Richard said the same thing when he was about to debut."

The Windsor kids all wanted to stand shoulder to shoulder!

Alexander, sitting next to Catherine, had a flicker in his eyes and a gentle smile on his lips.

Catherine, no matter what she faced, was so tough and brave, yet it made Alexander feel a bit heartbroken.

Since Catherine had said so, Charles didn't push it. He handed the phone to Catherine to let her see the info.

Catherine's face stayed calm as she quickly scanned through it. Instead, she chuckled. "They just think that because I'm a girl, I can't possibly play the violin that well. They're just jealous that a girl got into Imperial University!"

The negative comments about Catherine were mostly about how her academic achievements were due to the Windsor Family.

That Vincent's violin wasn't something a little girl like her could play.

Some even went as far as to slander her personal life when she lived in a small village.

Catherine scoffed disdainfully, as if they had grown up with her in that small village! "Charles, it doesn't matter. Today is my first day of school; it's not good to skip."

Charles nodded. "Should we try to clear things up?"

Catherine shook her head, her clear, bright eyes filled with confident disdain. "Trying to justify myself would be the dumbest thing. I'm not falling for that! Just have Philip sue those people. I don't have to pay the lawyer fees, right?"

To Catherine, she didn't need to prove her abilities because of their baseless accusations and speculations; it was as foolish as proving she was herself!

Charles couldn't help but laugh, but he was also relieved. "If Philip dares to charge you lawyer fees, he'll regret it!"

Catherine said calmly, "Then have Philip trace the IP addresses and sue every single person who slandered me. Make it public and demand compensation."

"Alright!" Seeing that Catherine wasn't affected by this at all and had logically arranged the follow-up, Charles felt both comforted and heartbroken.

Catherine had developed this composed demeanor because of the hardships she endured living with Elodie in the small village!

Emilia quickly scrolled through her phone. "Catherine, I just saw a netizen claiming to be Lucy's alternate account, saying that you bullied Lucy in the Windsor Family and deactivated her account."

'Considering the recent cyberbullying, isn't this a bit too coincidental? How did all this happen to Catherine at once?' Emilia wondered.

Catherine simply switched to her internal network account and used a few simple commands to find the netizen Emilia mentioned.

Charles and George didn't see Catherine's fingers flying over the keyboard, but Alexander saw everything clearly.

He had studied dark web programming for a while and knew how difficult it was to build a local network.

Judging by Catherine's typing speed and the time it took to find that information, it could tell that the local network she built must be quite extensive!

Alexander's heart stirred, and he suddenly wondered what connection Catherine had with the infamous hacker Q on the dark web!

Catherine looked at the information on her phone and blinked. "It was posted by Esme, under Lucy's direction."

The account information was investigated thoroughly in a short time, leaving Charles and George stunned! "Catherine, do you know some high-level hackers?"

The speed and accuracy of this were beyond what the police could achieve, let alone knowing so much detail!

Catherine looked innocently, shrugged, and lightly kicked Alexander beside her. "It's Alexander's people."

"They're my people. The Howard Group has a few decent hackers," Alexander said.

After all, it was indeed his team who handled the data and quickly found the mastermind!

He somewhat enjoyed Catherine using him as a shield, at least it showed she trusted him.

Catherine wanted to retort, but with so many people at the table, she had to hold back.

Hearing that Alexander provided the people, Charles felt much more at ease. At least the Howard Group's people wouldn't deceive Catherine, and with Alexander overseeing, there wouldn't be any major issues.

Alexander grunted softly, accepting the unearned credit without a word, but he firmly held Catherine's leg under the table, preventing her from moving.
