Chapter 304 Shallow Family Ties, Deep Marital Bonds

Brad sat upright in the soft seat.

His entire demeanor exuded an indescribable aura of a reclusive sage.

Dashiell never expected to encounter Brad at the airport!

As the bishop of Eternal Light Cathedral, Brad had been a pastor since he was very young, born with a close connection to God.

But Dashiell knew Brad was no ordinary person!

In Imperia City, many prominent figures sought Brad's counsel, often having to visit Eternal Light Cathedral personally, and even then, they might not get an audience with him.

The last time Brad came down from the mountain was to solve a flu virus that shocked the world, personally provided the solution. Everyone in the know within Imperia City was aware of this!

Dashiell was determined to invite Brad to the Harrison Mansion.

"Mr. Thornton, my home has been quite unsettled lately. I would like to invite you to exorcise any evil spirits!"

Brad closed his eyes, his face youthful yet stern, like a cold star, but also giving a refreshing feeling. "You should believe in science. If your home is unsettled, wouldn't it be faster to call the cops? I really have no method."

Dashiell knew Brad was hard to invite, but he didn't expect him to be so unyielding! "Mr. Thornton, whatever conditions you have, feel free to name them, and I will agree!"

"You've got the wrong person."

A trace of confusion appeared on Dashiell's face!

He had seen Brad from a distance once when he was with Owen, and it was indeed this face. Could he have mistaken him?

At the VIP lounge entrance, a cold voice suddenly rang out. "Let's go."

"Hey, coming." Brad saw Catherine standing at the door, quickly got up, and followed her, paying no attention to Dashiell beside him!

Dashiell had seen the Windsor family's live broadcasts and various public news. Brandon and Charles had given Catherine a large number of Windsor Group shares, so Dashiell knew what she looked like.

Seeing Catherine and Brad walking together, seemingly familiar, Dashiell followed them! "Ms. Windsor, hello, I am Dashiell Harrison."

Catherine slightly turned her head, looking at Dashiell following behind.

Dashiell's appearance was completely different from Tiberius; he wore gold-rimmed glasses, with a pair of sparkling eyes, looking elegant and charming.

Catherine said indifferently, "What's the matter?"

"It's like this: the Harrison family has been quite unsettled recently. I want to invite Mr. Thornton to the Harrison Mansion to see if there are any evil beings. Could you please help? I would be very grateful."

Catherine's gaze fell on Brad. "Can you exorcise?"

Brad shrugged, "No, I told him to believe in science. If it doesn't work, call the cops. He doesn't believe it!"

Catherine nodded and looked at Dashiell. "He can't. You should find someone else."

After saying that, Catherine turned and left with Brad.

Brad rubbed his hands, expectantly, "Ms. Windsor, what delicious food are you taking me to this time? I heard you recently got a famous ancient painting. Give it to me!"

Catherine said indifferently, "You're a pastor, what do you need so many possessions for, to be buried with?"

Brad was obviously used to interacting with Catherine. Touched his forehead, and smiled brightly, not looking like a pastor. "Everyone has hobbies, I just have a few more."

Dashiell watched their backs, gritted his teeth, and still followed! "Mr. Thornton!"

Brad was talking to Catherine about the painting, and seeing Dashiell following again, he became a bit anxious. "Sir, if you really are deaf, I will make you understand by some actions!"

Brad looked at Dashiell, somewhat displeased. "Don't block the way, understand? If you understand, then move aside!"

Dashiell had to stand aside. "Mr. Thornton, if you change your mind, you can still contact me."

Brad quickly caught up with Catherine, not giving Dashiell another glance.

A few steps away, Brad saw Alexander suddenly appear, standing right next to Catherine, looking particularly close. "Hmm, Ms. Windsor doesn't like men getting close to her. You're not ordinary."

Brad looked at Alexander's handsome and cold face, touching his chin.

"Oh, you are her fiancé, that makes sense." With just one look, Brad knew the relationship between Alexander and Catherine.

Alexander had also met Brad before, knowing how famous Brad was, but he didn't expect Catherine to be picking up Brad! "Mr. Thornton, do you know my relationship with Catherine?"

"One look and it's obvious, no difficulty."

What surprised Brad was not the relationship between Alexander and Catherine, but Catherine's attitude towards Alexander!

He had known this heartless girl Catherine for so many years and had never seen her allow any man other than Galactic Aurora Collective members to get close to her, let alone hold her hand!

Brad chuckled.

It seemed that this man was indeed different for Catherine.

Because of this, Brad took another look at Alexander and said, "You were born with a weak bond with your parents and siblings, don't take it to heart. Sometimes, learning to be indifferent to family ties isn't a bad thing!"

Alexander was a bit surprised, just seeing Brad walking towards the car, waving his hand.

"Family ties are weak, but fortunately, your romantic fate is deep, which makes up for it." Brad's robe was blown open by the wind, making his back look profound and mysterious.

Catherine pursed her lips. "Brad may be unreliable and likes to talk nonsense. But since he said so, he's not lying to you."

Catherine also knew that Brad generally didn't like to talk much. For him to say this to Alexander, he probably saw the trouble family issues brought to Alexander!

Alexander had never been able to let go of his mother's matter, and because of that, he was unwilling to forgive his father, and had little contact with his brothers over the years.

Felix had been living in the hospital for years, Arabella in a sanatorium, and the family hadn't seen each other in a long time.

Catherine instinctively thought of the cold and empty Howard Mansion.

That house seemed to have no sense of home, the decor could be used as a model home.

Alexander slightly lowered his head, looking at Catherine in front of him, her profile beautiful, a delicate necklace revealing a diamond that sparkled under the light.

He spoke in a low voice, "I should thank Mr. Thornton. With his last words, I think the loneliness and suffering of the past twenty-four years are enough to reconcile."

Alexander hoped that his fate with Catherine would be lasting and happy, and that they would be together forever.
