Chapter 336 Arabella's Words Are Infuriating

Listening to Brad's earnest words, Juniper was momentarily taken aback.

Was Brad trying to comfort her?

Or did he think she was so fragile that she might do something drastic in this situation?

"Thanks, but I don't think I'm cursed or anything. I actually have pretty good luck."

Brad gently shook his head. "Your dessert box is still on the ground."

Juniper picked up the box, retorting, "I just dropped it. What's the big deal?"

"No big deal."

Brad had this rich scent, a fragrance that came from years spent in the church, giving off an aura that made people hesitant to look directly at him.

Juniper stared at Brad for a moment. Suddenly inspired, she said, "Brad, I have some wild ideas, but unfortunately, our country has a very mature legal system."

"What?"

Juniper patted Brad's shoulder like a good friend. "Brad, thanks, but I just helped you, too. Say thank you!"

Even someone as sharp as Juniper's nonsensical words momentarily threw off Brad.

"What are you talking about?"

How had she helped him? Why did he need to thank her?

Juniper smiled confidently. "I helped you avoid a full-blown harassment. Thanks to my strong sense of morality."

Brad's strikingly handsome face froze for a moment. Was she saying she helped him by not harassing him?

Brad didn't know what to say; the words stuck in his throat. This Juniper, was she a bit too unique?

Looking into Juniper's clear eyes, Brad's heart calmed down. There was no other emotion in her gaze; she was saying all this because... she was just a bit crazy from work!

Brad sighed in relief and shook his head. He hadn't met someone like this in years, and he really felt powerless to deal with it.

Marcus looked at Lila, who was unconscious on the floor. His sharp eyes still held a certain vigor, filled with an intimidating authority. Just one look from him made the deceitful Allan's legs go weak, and he knelt on the ground, begging for mercy.

"The Harrison family hired me. They wanted Juniper to acknowledge her roots. I thought it was a good thing, so I came..."

Catherine sneered, "A good thing? Or did they just pay you too much?"

Allan didn't dare speak, trembling on the ground. He regretted it deeply. Why had he agreed to come to the Windsor family and cause trouble just for that money?

Arabella snorted. "Marcus, what are you going to do with Lila? Still have feelings for her?"

"I never had feelings for her!"

If he hadn't misjudged Franklin as a friend back then, and if Elodie hadn't also considered Franklin a friend, there wouldn't have been so many regrets and misunderstandings between them!

Arabella scoffed, "Bullshit. If you had no feelings for her, would you have married her? She said you had a son with her, and you believed it? Your pants didn't just come off by themselves."

Arabella always spoke her mind, never holding back for anyone. In front of the younger generation, Marcus's face turned red with embarrassment. After a long pause, he tapped the ground with his cane.

In a deep voice, he said, "That was all in the past. The day Brandon was born, I had a bit too much to drink at a social event, and Franklin kept hinting that he saw me go into another courtyard. I always thought I went into the wrong room..."

"I haven't touched her in years!"

Arabella raised an eyebrow. "Why are you telling me this, you scoundrel?"

Marcus was speechless. Wasn't it Arabella who brought it up? If she hadn't mentioned it, he wouldn't have wanted to talk about those embarrassing past events!

Talking to Arabella for three sentences was like preparing to be infuriated three times.

Arabella kicked the unconscious Lila. "If you have no feelings for her and have asked all your questions, then leave her to me."

"What do you want with her?"

Arabella waved for a few Howard family bodyguards to come in and carry Allan away, along with Lila.

"The Howard family’s nursing home is where I live. A few years ago, Alexander put it in my name to make me happy. To be clear, your ex-wife needs to recuperate, and I'm bored. Having an old friend from my younger days around is quite entertaining."

Marcus didn't stop her, but he doubted Arabella would do something so kind.

"And secretly?"

Arabella rolled her eyes, her lips curling down. "Are you crazy? Why should I tell you?"

Brad chimed in, "Arabella, isn't your nursing home across from the Windsor family cemetery?"

"Yes, a few years ago, I was bored, and the doctor said I should exercise more. So, I dug a few pits in the mountains. Lila can be buried there!"

Arabella had no intention of letting Lila off the hook. This damned Lila, never mind other things, but how dare she say Juniper would bring bad luck!

Originally, Arabella thought to let it go, considering Lila's past mistreatment of Juniper was over. After all, she wasn't great to the rest of the Windsor family either. But this time, Arabella was truly angry!

Brad nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Arabella is truly merciful."

Seeing that the matter was almost resolved, the merciful Arabella didn't want to waste more time at the Windsor family with Marcus. Before leaving the Windsor Villa, she turned to Juniper.

"Juniper, remember this: if anyone dares to mess with you, hit them back! If you break them, it's on me! I'm old, and if I stab a few people in the street, it won't matter. Anyone who dares to mess with you, I'll make sure they regret it!"

Juniper felt warmth in her heart, but also found it a bit amusing. Her grandmother was truly... a unique character. Arabella must have been an incredibly charming woman in her youth!

Juniper smiled, stepped forward, and hugged the stern-faced Arabella, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you, Grandma. I love you the most."

Arabella's body stiffened!
