Chapter 326 Accusing Catherine of Plagiarism?

"Gabriella hasn't seen these drafts?"

Catherine clearly remembered the drafts she had submitted. Gabriella should have reviewed them all!

There was no way Gabriella would have allowed Lyra's drafts to be submitted if she had seen Catherine's.

Cecilia quickly shook her head.

"Not yet. Gabriella said to avoid any bias, she doesn't handle the drafts herself. I collect them and submit them all together."

"Then let's show them to Gabriella. If I'm not mistaken, these illustrations are my work."

These were projects Catherine had submitted early to waive some courses.

Now, they all had Lyra's name on them.

Finding this situation quite amusing, Catherine couldn't help but smile.

Catherine raised an eyebrow and said, "Cecilia, as a future designer, shouldn't plagiarism be something you absolutely detest? How would you feel if someone plagiarized your work?"

Putting herself in that position, Cecilia felt like her own child had been stolen!

"I understand. I'll go find Gabriella right away!"

With only ten minutes before class, Cecilia couldn't wait any longer. She grabbed her phone and rushed out of the classroom to the faculty office.

Gabriella was preparing for her lesson and looked up when Cecilia entered.

"What's the matter?"

"Gabriella, Catherine said these are her works. Could you take a look?"

Gabriella took Cecilia's phone and examined the competition entries.

The more she looked, the deeper her frown became.

Gabriella opened her drawer and pulled out the folder containing Catherine's submissions. Several of the works were identical!

Even the gemstone materials noted on the drafts were the same!

Seeing these drafts, Gabriella frowned as well.

"They are indeed the same. Go get Lyra and Catherine."

Cecilia was stunned!

She hadn't expected that the drafts which had amazed everyone in the department were actually plagiarized from Catherine!

These drafts had wowed everyone.

They even believed these drafts were sure to win awards!

Lyra had recently become quite famous in the department.

Cecilia hurried back to the classroom, her face serious, and called Catherine and Lyra to Gabriella's office.

Lyra felt extremely nervous upon seeing Catherine.

She had been avoiding Catherine, hoping Catherine wouldn't find a way to get back at her.

Glancing at Catherine from the corner of her eye, Lyra guessed Gabriella had called them in because of the previous incident.

Did they want her to apologize to Catherine? No way!

Catherine kept it casual in a sweatshirt and jeans, her long legs slender and straight. The sweatshirt had a discreet Quinn Couture logo, clearly a new season piece.

This was an item money couldn't buy; only Quinn's VIP customers had a chance to pre-order it!

Just because she had money? The Windsor family might be wealthy, but they were nothing compared to her own family's scholarly background!

Lyra felt a surge of jealousy and rolled her eyes internally.

Once she won the department competition and gained fame, she wouldn't need to worry about Catherine anymore!

Thinking about the drafts, a twisted smile appeared on Lyra's lips...

Gabriella laid out Lyra's submitted drafts alongside Catherine's earlier submissions on the desk.

"Explain these drafts. I remember Catherine submitted hers first, and Lyra's came later. The timeline doesn't add up."

Lyra looked at the drafts on the desk, feeling guilty.

"Gabriella, my drafts are original. I don't know when Catherine copied mine..."

Catherine raised an eyebrow. "These drafts were drawn by me last year. Your competition is this year. Are you saying I copied you? How?"

Lyra pulled out her phone and played a pre-recorded video.

"Gabriella, my drafts are from last year, too. These were drawn in January. Did Catherine draw hers at the same time?"

The video smoothly showed each layer's creation process, with timestamps indicating January of last year.

This was something Lyra had prepared in advance!

Lyra had already investigated. Last year, Catherine was in Serenitia City and had no chance to access these drafts.

The Windsor family might have bought these drafts to help Catherine skip school!

With this in mind, Lyra felt even more confident.

Her preset timeline was flawless!

Gabriella carefully watched the video and found nothing wrong.

But these drafts were the same ones Catherine had submitted earlier!

Lyra, feeling triumphant, said, "Gabriella, this proves my innocence, right? These are my works. I don't know when Catherine copied mine!"

"After all, Catherine is from the Windsor family. They can get anything they want, right?"

Catherine found this tone amusing.

She raised an eyebrow. "Gabriella, may I use your computer?"

"Of course, go ahead."

As Charles's sister and Odette's superior, Gabriella couldn't believe Catherine would plagiarize!

But as a teacher, she needed to remain impartial and not let her emotions cloud her judgment...

Catherine's fingers flew over the keyboard, loading Lyra's so-called evidence.

Lyra was extremely pleased!

She didn't believe Catherine could debunk the video she had spent a lot of money on!

Someone from a backwater place, thinking she could do computer programming? Ridiculous!

The drafts she had seen were all hand-drawn. She didn't believe Catherine could produce similar video evidence!

Moments later.

Catherine looked at the screen and turned the monitor towards Gabriella.

"This video is fabricated. The earliest layer appeared last week, with the information altered to show January of last year."

"Modifying end data is simple. For example, this image's initial timestamp is Monday. With a few small programs, it can be changed to next year."

"Surely, this draft wasn't drawn next year?"

Catherine's fingers moved swiftly, quickly restoring the original images and layers!

The original layer, which Lyra thought she had deleted, reappeared, causing visible panic in Lyra's eyes!

How was this possible?

How did Catherine recover the deleted original layer?
