Chapter 233 Catching Lucy's Weakness, the Black Sheep of the Windsor Family

"Lucy?" The Windsor Family had a bunch of maids, and even the kitchen staff worked in shifts. Charles wasn't home much, so he couldn't remember who she was right away. "Oh, right. Lucy's the maid Lila brought in. She said Lucy's cooking was just her style, so she kept her around."

Lila and Marcus had split up, so calling her "grandma" didn't really fit anymore.

Catherine nodded, showing she got the gist about Lucy.

Charles thought for a sec. "Yeah, Lucy's from the same hometown as Lila and used to be her neighbor. She's been with us for years, even helped out when Aurora was pregnant. Why do you ask?"

Catherine didn't hold back. "Something's off about Lucy, so I checked her phone records. Turns out she's been chatting a lot with Esme and posting videos of our family online. She's got quite a following on social media."

Lucy had been pretty bold, posting tons of videos of her work at the Windsor Family, racking up followers!

"Filming's a no-go in the Windsor Family, and I found some big transactions in her account. I checked her second-hand selling platform and saw a bunch of our stuff for sale," Catherine said.

Charles was floored, thinking, 'Lucy not only films our daily life, exposing our privacy, but also sells our stuff on the side?'

Catherine handed her phone to Charles. "We've got so much stuff and so many houses, it's hard to keep track. Mom forgot about some items, and Lucy took advantage of that to sell them."

The Windsor Family's stuff was super pricey, often one-of-a-kind. Lucy sold them at half price, and they went fast.

Whether it was Aurora's bags, clothes, shoes, or even the bonsai and jade in the garden, and the kitchen utensils, they were all up for grabs.

Charles exclaimed, "Isn't this the stationery set from my study? Grandpa gave it to me, and I never used it. I can't believe Lucy sold it!"

The stationery set from Samuel was worth a lot, and Lucy listed it for $10,000, which got snapped up quickly.

$10,000 wouldn't even cover the pen from that set!

Catherine opened Lucy's social media account.

It was updated almost daily with short videos from Lucy's perspective, showcasing the Windsor Family and her daily work!

These videos had gotten Lucy quite a few followers, even showing Aurora and Brandon's faces.

Charles gritted his teeth. "Filming's not allowed, and it's in the contract. Just from these videos, we can demand compensation! Catherine, don't worry. I'll handle this! Let's go eat first!"

Catherine followed Charles to the living room, where Aurora was talking to Lucy about the dishes. "Lucy, put these dishes near Catherine, and those near Charles. They like them."

"Okay."

"I bought a set of pure silver cutlery last time. Find it and use it tomorrow. It matches my jewelry for the next few days," Aurora said.

Catherine raised an eyebrow at the mention of the pure silver cutlery, noticing Lucy's hand tremble slightly.

That set of pure silver cutlery had just been sold for $25,000 yesterday and was already on its way to a new owner.

Lucy nodded, trying to stay calm.

Catherine, keeping her cool, said, "Mom, I'd love to see that pure silver cutlery you bought. Why don't we use it today?"

Aurora smiled and agreed. "Sure, whatever you say. Lucy, go change it."

Lucy was internally fuming, thinking, 'What is Catherine up to? Who changes cutlery right before a meal? It'll ruin the food! Plus, that set's already shipped out, and the replica I ordered hasn't arrived yet. I can't produce it now!'

"Madam, the food is already on the table. Changing the cutlery now would delay Mr. Marcus Windsor and Mr. Felix Howard's meal," Lucy said, hoping to avoid the situation. She thought, 'Mentioning Marcus and Felix should stop this nonsense, right?'

Marcus, still reading the newspaper, waved his hand. "Catherine rarely asks for anything, so let's do it."

Felix nodded in agreement, thinking, 'Catherine is wonderful, but maybe too sensible. Clearly, she was well-raised by Elodie. We're happy to fulfill any request she makes. It's just changing the cutlery, no big deal.'

Lucy was on the verge of panic. Only she knew the cutlery set wasn't in the cabinet. "Madam, I sent that cutlery set for cleaning. It'll be back tomorrow."

Catherine looked up at Lucy. "I remember our cutlery is cleaned before it's delivered. Why does it need to be cleaned again?"

"The Windsor Family is very particular about their cutlery. Since you're interested in that set, I'll have it sent back tomorrow," Lucy explained.

Catherine's lips curled into a cold smile. "Really? I'm afraid you won't be able to find that cutlery set. After all, it's already on its way to Oceancrest City."

Lucy stared wide-eyed at Catherine, wondering how she knew the cutlery set was sold to a buyer in Oceancrest City.

Aurora, confused, asked, "Catherine, what are you talking about? What happened to the cutlery set?"

Catherine glanced at Lucy. "That cutlery set has already been sold by Lucy."

Lucy panicked, her eyes darting around. "Miss, you can't make baseless accusations! Without evidence, how can you say that? I've been with the Windsor Family longer than you!"

'Evidence? I have plenty,' Catherine thought as she opened a page on her phone and handed it to Aurora, showing all the recent successful sales of second-hand items by Lucy.

Aurora immediately recognized whose items they were. "I've been looking for my pearl necklace for so long, and you sold it? The Windsor Family has treated you well! How could you be such an ungrateful black sheep!"
