Chapter 246 Climbing Through the Window at Midnight: A Unique Date
Esme was fuming, thinking, "I used to be part of the Windsor Family, but thanks to Catherine, Brandon kicked me out without a second thought! Why? And now Lucy's account is deactivated, and everyone's noticing."
Esme quickly set up a new account.
Clara, sitting on the floor, opened a video and muttered, "An angel from Imperial University, and there's a freshman who's Vincent's student?"
'The girl in the video looks so familiar! Isn't that Catherine?! How did she get into Imperial University? She's just a country bumpkin who stole my life, and now she's at Imperial University?' Clara thought, seething with jealousy.
Driven by impulse, Clara commented under the video: [This is all fake. Her private life is a mess. I grew up with her, and she can't even play the violin.]
After posting the comment, Clara panicked, feeling guilty. She quickly opened Celeste's chat window, only to find she had been blocked!
Esme, on her new account, claimed to be a distant relative of Lucy, saying Lucy's account was frozen by the Windsor Family. She also trashed the Windsor Family, using acronym to avoid direct accusations.
After posting these messages, Esme tossed her phone aside, thinking, 'I can't just sit and wait! Lucy claims to be my mother, but I don't buy it!'
Esme gripped the curtains tightly, her face twisted with anger. Clara didn't dare to look at her. "I won't let myself be treated like this. I need to find Lila and get some answers!"
Esme looked at Clara and snapped, "Get me some water. What are you staring at? If you keep staring, I'll gouge your eyes out!"
After drinking the water, Esme demanded, "Tell me everything about Catherine in the Smith Family!"
'As long as I can get dirt on Catherine and use Lucy's new account to ruin her reputation, the Windsor Family will see her true colors,' Esme thought.
"Esme, Catherine is already studying at Imperial University, and people online are calling her an angel," Clara said, curious about Catherine's real family status. "It seems like Catherine's family is quite extraordinary? But didn't Oliver say her family are just farmers?"
Hearing this, Esme remembered being expelled from Medical University while Catherine's life kept getting better. Esme angrily slapped Clara. "Go to hell!"
Clara fought back, and they started pulling each other's hair, their nails leaving bloody scratches.
'Esme isn't the Windsor Family's daughter anymore, so why does she get to hit me?' Clara thought.
The scene quickly got out of control.
In the next room, Solon and his wife heard the commotion but didn't bother to check.
The middle-aged woman rolled her eyes and cursed, "Lucy wants to use the same trick to send Esme to Ezekiel as the Howard Family's daughter, as if Esme would ever get that kind of luck!"
Previously, in the Windsor Family and the Hughes Family, Esme couldn't secure a place for herself, either getting kicked out or the family going bankrupt, leaving her nowhere to go.
Lucy wanted Esme to be Ezekiel's daughter, but Esme had to prove she had what it took.
The Starry Residence at the Moonlight Mansion.
In the steamy bathroom, Catherine stepped out in her pajamas, her long hair still dripping wet as she casually dried it with a towel.
A shadow flickered on the balcony, and a silhouette appeared at the window. Just as the slender hands opened the window, a startled cry rang out!
"Who is it?" Emilia, with her mouth full of chips and holding Catherine's plush toy, locked eyes with Alexander, who had just climbed in through the window.
Seeing Alexander's cold gaze, Emilia suddenly felt a chill down her spine. "Mr. Howard, did you guys plan this? Just pretend I'm not here!"
Alexander's gaze shifted from Emilia to Catherine, who was still drying her hair.
The water droplets from her hair soaked through her thin pajamas, clinging to Catherine's slender and delicate back. Her long legs were so beautifully shaped that it was hard to look away.
Catherine glanced at Alexander, meeting his intense gaze. "What are you doing here?"
In the dim light, Alexander's Adam's apple bobbed slightly as he swallowed his embarrassment, channeling his impulses into a composed calm. "I came to change my bandage."
"You can find any doctor to change the bandage, no need to come to me," she said.
The wound on Alexander's wrist was just a surface injury, and there were plenty of doctors who could handle it.
Catherine couldn't help but think, 'If he's got the energy to sneak through windows in the middle of the night, he must be almost healed!'
"I don't trust anyone else," he said.
"Fine, sit down. I'll get the first aid kit."
Emilia glanced at Catherine, then at Alexander obediently sitting on the sofa. She rolled off the bed. "I just remembered I have something to discuss with George. I'll be off now! If needed, I can sleep in the hallway tonight!"
To avoid being silenced by Alexander, Emilia happily chose to leave the scene at lightning speed!
Catherine returned with the first aid kit, and Emilia was already knocking on George's door with a pile of snacks.
As Catherine unwrapped the bandage on Alexander's wrist, the wound underneath showed signs of reopening, and the bandage was already soaked with blood.
"Do you not want your hand anymore?"
"Just a little accident," he said.
Catherine frowned slightly but didn't ask further.
Alexander had managed to take down Santino, throw a bomb in Ezekiel's estate, ruining his reputation, and making him a pariah in the circle. There would be plenty of follow-up issues to deal with.
From what Galactic Aurora Collective knew, the Howard Family was already in turmoil!
Catherine raised an eyebrow. "Is your family's situation very tricky?"
Alexander was a bit surprised; his thin lips curved into a soft smile, and his long eyelashes lowered as he watched Catherine tend to his wound.
'She is concerned about me!' he thought.
Catherine's hair was still dripping, and she smelled of fresh, light-scented body wash.
Her skin was flawless, with a faint sheen of moisture, and the damp patches on her pajamas clung to her body, outlining her delicate curves.
For a moment, Alexander was distracted, not realizing how intense his gaze had become!
