Chapter 287 Do You Not Like Dr. Windsor?

Half an hour ago, Alexander was confronting Ezekiel at the Howard family's resort.

A contract lay on the table, and Ezekiel was so furious that his hands were trembling. "Alexander, you're going too far! I'm the CEO of the Howard Group now. If you steal my business, aren't you trying to shut down the Howard Group?"

Alexander replied nonchalantly, "If you can't handle it, then don't do it. You're the CEO of the Howard Group, but you're also working for me. If you can't do the job, I'll replace you at the next board meeting."

As the largest shareholder, Alexander could elevate Ezekiel, but he could also bring him down!

Ezekiel finally realized that Alexander had promoted him just to toy with him!

Those damn business partners all sided with Alexander, knowing that the Howard Group was just reorganizing internally, and they ignored Ezekiel!

Ezekiel as CEO was a joke.

And now, Ezekiel had a pile of business matters to deal with.

Alexander lit a cigarette with his lighter, not even glancing at Ezekiel. "If you can't handle such a small matter, then the affairs of the Howard Group will have nothing to do with you in the future."

"Alexander! Are you trying to push me out? No way!"

Alexander chuckled lightly, "Uncle Ezekiel, why are you in such a hurry? I've prepared many gifts for you; you'll be very pleased."

The last gift Alexander gave Ezekiel was a video of Santino before he died!

What kind of gift would he give this time? Probably something to infuriate Ezekiel to death!

Ezekiel was now in a dilemma.

Annie pushed the door open and bowed, "Mr. Howard, a transatlantic call from Mr. Windsor."

Brandon had tried calling George but couldn't reach him, probably because he was in surgery. So he called Alexander instead.

Brandon's exact words were. "Alexander, Catherine has never been good at fighting. Go deal with Tiberius! Don't let Catherine get bullied. I was even thinking of having George pull Tiberius's plug directly."

That method was simple and crude, but they couldn't reach George.

"I'll go find Catherine right away."

"If something really happens to Tiberius, just blame it on Evander!"

Alexander couldn't help but laugh. It seemed that because of Juniper, Brandon still held a lot of resentment towards Evander.

Putting away his phone, Alexander rushed over, fortunately not too late.

A smile appeared on Catherine's face. "The special care ward on the sixth floor, I'll leave it to you."

"Give me a moment, and we'll have dinner together tonight?"

"Sure."

Gavin watched Alexander turn and leave, feeling that there was something strange between Alexander and Catherine.

"How strange, you two are engaged, but it still looks so weird," Gavin said.

Alexander and Catherine didn't have any intimate actions, but Gavin could still sense the chemistry between them!

Catherine raised an eyebrow, "Where's the patient I need to see?"

"In my office, let's go!" Gavin replied.

Catherine turned to Emilia, "Are you going back, or waiting here for me?"

Emilia remembered that Alexander had mentioned having dinner with Catherine. If she waited here, wouldn't she be interrupting their date?

"I'll go home!" Emilia replied quickly.

Catherine frowned slightly, "It seems you don't have a home now. Do you want to go to my place?"

Emilia then remembered that her home had been burned down by her.

"Then I'll go to Blade of Dusk; I still have some matters to handle!"

"I've sent people to Blade of Dusk; don't go back for now."

Since the people at Blade of Dusk were so far away, Catherine didn't mind teaching them a lesson.

"Huh? You didn't have to handle it for me; you're so kind!" Emilia said.

Catherine's expression was a bit complicated, "No need to thank me. I just don't like them using the people from the fight club to bully you."

The underground fight club was a mixed bag, but it was still the territory of the Galactic Aurora Collective. Catherine didn't like seeing chaos in her territory. Helping Emilia was just a side task.

"I've made an appointment with Dr. Windsor. Yes, I'm going to treat him to dinner!" Emilia racked her brains to avoid interrupting Catherine and Alexander's dinner, so she used George as an excuse!

Emilia declared confidently, "Dr. Windsor paid my medical bills, so I'm treating him to dinner as a thank you."

Catherine nodded and left with Gavin.

Watching her leave, Emilia slumped down, patting her ample chest. "That scared me extremely. Now I really have to treat Dr. Windsor to dinner."

Jessa looked at Emilia and tentatively asked, "Are you Dr. Windsor's girlfriend? I think I've seen you a few times."

"Of course not! Dr. Windsor would rather date a cadaver than date me."

It was the first time Jessa had seen someone like Emilia, and she was dumbfounded.

Emilia pushed Jessa back to the ward. "I asked Dr. Windsor when he last held a girl's hand, and he said it was with a cadaver, studying how cancer cells spread to the hand."

Jessa was silent.

"I asked him if he ever felt moved, and he said once, while dissecting a cadaver, the heart was perfectly formed!"

That time, Emilia had curiously asked what a perfect heart looked like, and George had sent her a bunch of heart specimens while she was eating!

They were all taken from international literature, supposedly perfect hearts.

Emilia felt very conflicted.

Jessa's mouth twitched.

Emilia had already brought Jessa to the ward. She leaned on the edge of the wheelchair, smiling. "And you're about my age. Look at me, I survived, it's no big deal. I grew up without parents. When my mom passed away, my dad flaunted his mistress in front of me."

"When I became an adult, the first person I took down was that mistress. I thought I was going to die, but Catherine meddled and saved me."

Emilia's beautiful eyes sparkled like stars. "So you have to live well."

Jessa nodded and whispered, "I know! But I think you and Dr. Windsor are really well-matched; you're both very good-looking."

Emilia straightened up and shrugged. "I admit I'm very beautiful, but Dr. Windsor and I are no longer in the same world."

She had nothing and a difficult road ahead, not knowing when she might get caught in a gang fight and be killed.

Emilia smiled wistfully, her gaze falling on the blooming flowers outside the window, vibrant and fiery.

But she had already fallen into desolation. "Dr. Windsor is so good; being with me wouldn't work. Even if I suffer a bit, I can't bear it."

Jessa asked in confusion, "Emilia, do you not like Dr. Windsor?"
