Chapter 350 Scheduled a Meal with Gabriella
Tony always thought guys got each other better than anyone else.
If his girlfriend had been caught in those videos, no way he'd want to marry a woman like that!
Ruby shot him a look, her eyes full of contempt.
As a woman, hearing Tony go on and on about wrecking a girl's life made her sick.
If Tony could do this to Catherine now, she might be the next one caught on video when things got rough!
With that thought, Ruby eyed Tony with a mix of caution and distrust.
Tony, oblivious to Ruby's expression, grabbed the jewelry from the cabinet and stuffed it into the bag he'd prepared.
"These jewels will keep us afloat if we sell 'em. I've already got the tickets for tonight."
Ruby's face was clouded with worry.
"With all this stuff, you might not even make it out of Imperia City. What if the Windsor family finds out?"
Tony clenched his jaw.
"If it weren't for Catherine, would I be in this mess?"
"I had the latest kickbacks lined up with the suppliers. With that cash, I could've bought a luxury car!"
Catherine leaned against the door, quietly listening to Tony and Ruby plotting to smuggle the jewels out.
As the company's design director, Tony knew the worth of these jewels better than anyone. If he took them, the company would take a huge hit!
The financial loss was one thing; some of the jewels were already ordered, and clients had paid deposits.
If they couldn't deliver, Radiant Treasures' reputation in the industry would be trashed.
Tony was banking on this, waiting for the company's reputation to tank!
Catherine turned to meet Alexander's gaze and gave a slight nod.
Half an hour later, the shrill sound of sirens shattered the night, blue and red lights cutting through the darkness.
Tony and Ruby, caught in their shady dealings, freaked out at the sound of the sirens!
"Dammit, are they coming for us? How could anyone know we're here?"
"We gotta get outta here, quick!"
In their panic, they grabbed the bag full of jewels and rushed to the door, only to find it locked!
Even the side door was locked; they were completely trapped!
Tony's forehead was drenched in cold sweat.
"Someone's definitely in the company..."
"What's the point of saying that? Find a way out!"
The sirens grew louder, and in his desperation, Tony's gaze landed on Ruby...
Ruby caught Tony's look and snapped, "Are you nuts? You wanna ditch me? No way!"
Tony moved towards Ruby, trying to reason, "If I get out, I can grab the money and come back for you. If we both get caught, who's gonna save us?"
Ruby shook her head fiercely!
"No, you're coming with me. Don't even think about taking my keys..."
But the difference in their strength was too much. In no time, Tony had snatched the keys from her and knocked her out!
As the HR manager, Ruby had a set of keys to the HR department, which had a small door leading out of the company.
Tony, lugging the heavy bag of jewels, sprinted towards the HR department.
Reaching the small door, his hands shook as he finally managed to open it. In his panic, he jumped out the window!
Moments later, a scream echoed from outside.
"Help!"
"Who are you? Let go of me!"
Several sleazy voices followed.
"Didn't you pay us to come here? Don't start whining now. This guy might be old, but he's got a nice ass..."
"We're just here to shoot a video. Hurry up, the cops are on their way..."
Even though they needed the cash, they weren't about to risk jail time!
Tony finally got what was going down!
These damn thugs had taken his money, but now they were double-crossing him!
Hearing the chaos outside, Alexander gently covered Catherine's ears.
"Don't listen to this trash."
Catherine looked up and said, "I've seen and heard worse at the border. This is nothing."
"That's different. You were on your own back then. Now you've got me, and you don't have to put up with this anymore."
Hearing Alexander's gentle yet firm words, Catherine felt her heart melt...
All the struggles from the past seemed to transform into sweet memories.
The police arrived in no time. Alexander and Catherine had recorded everything before entering the company, giving them all the evidence they needed.
With Catherine being the company owner and both the Windsor and Howard families being major taxpayers, the police quickly let them go after getting the full story.
Even knowing what had happened, the police were still disgusted when they found Tony lying in the bushes, convulsing, foaming at the mouth, and bleeding heavily.
The next morning, the whole company was buzzing about Tony and Ruby's betrayal.
They had tried to swipe the company's jewels and skip town!
Mira was livid at how low they had stooped!
She pulled out her phone and saw a video going viral online.
Thinking it was just some sleazy website ad, she clicked on it and was immediately grossed out!
[The Special Fetish of a Jewelry Company's Design Director.]
Mira's mouth twitched as she watched, recognizing Tony's face in the video!
The scene was so revolting, she felt like she might puke!
Everyone in the company knew about it, too!
Catherine walked into the office and asked, "What are you watching?"
Mira didn't want Catherine's eyes to be sullied by such filth, so she quickly closed her phone and approached with concern, "Ms. Windsor, will Tony and Ruby be sentenced?"
"They will, don't worry."
Philip, Catherine's lawyer, had gotten a call from the police first thing in the morning. Hearing about the mess at Catherine's company, he rushed to the station without even grabbing breakfast!
Learning that the culprits had hired people for such a sleazy scheme, Philip was furious and stormed out to the police station!
Aurora went to wake Charles up early in the morning.
Only to find out he had left the house the night before and hadn't come back!
She knew he was dodging the blind date!
Fuming, Aurora called Charles and laid down the law.
"If you don't come back for the date, don't bother coming home ever again!"
Charles, sitting across from Gabriella, calmly said, "Mom, I don't think I need a blind date right now."
The person across from him paused while looking at the menu.
Charles smirked and continued, "I have a dinner date with someone. I don't need a blind date."
"A dinner date? With who? At this hour? A man or a woman? Which client wants to have breakfast with you?"
Charles looked at Gabriella, his gaze intense.
He spoke seriously, "I'm having dinner with... the ex-girlfriend who left me before our wedding!"
