Chapter 293 Catherine Brings the Strongest Support
Back in the room, Catherine opened the backend of the Galactic Aurora Collective, starting the internal video conference.
Dubhe rubbed his eyes, "Ms. Windsor, what day is it? Why are you starting a video call?"
Uranus said, "Hard to say, the last time we had a conference was when several of our bases got blown up."
Mars chimed in, "What's getting blown up this time? My explosives are itching for action!"
Catherine said sternly, "If you keep this up, we might need a new leader."
The members of the Galactic Aurora Collective on the other side fell silent.
Sophia spoke gravely, "So, are you pregnant?"
Venus let out a sharp screech. "No way! Are we about to have a little leader?"
To the Galactic Aurora Collective, the only leader they recognized was Catherine. The only possibility of a leadership change was if Catherine had a child, meaning they would have another leader!
Alkaid muttered, "Didn't see that coming, Mr. Howard's got some skills."
Catherine couldn't take it anymore. "Are you all that idle? This year's experimental output targets are doubled!"
A chorus of groans and complaints came from the other side of the video.
Catherine was really something else! Was it true that pregnant women have such unpredictable tempers?
Catherine frowned and said, "It's about Franklin. He wants to regain control of the Galactic Aurora Collective. He's probably evaluating whether to directly lead me or make me disappear."
Franklin, was the original leader of the Galactic Aurora Collective, and the initiator and founder of the Galactic Aurora Collective project.
He wanted to regain control of the Galactic Aurora Collective.
There were a total of twenty-four members on the video screen, including Catherine. This generation of the Galactic Aurora Collective was naturally missing four members.
The usually quiet Merak whispered, "How old is Franklin now? Besides, he left the Galactic Aurora Collective; we don't recognize him."
Phecda immediately spoke up, "What are you thinking? In Franklin's eyes, we might as well be eliminated too!"
Everyone fell into an eerie silence.
And they all felt that Phecda made a lot of sense.
Franklin even despised Catherine; he probably wouldn't keep them either.
Catherine nodded, "When he left, he took a few people with him. Maybe he wants to replace us with them."
"His Galactic Aurora Collective is a thing of the past. The current Galactic Aurora Collective is under my command, and yours!"
The members of the Galactic Aurora Collective all had warm smiles on their faces.
It was only after following Catherine that their lives had meaning!
Catherine said calmly, "The purpose of this meeting is to tell you that I won't let Franklin off. The days ahead will be tough, and you'll have to work overtime."
Alkaid lowered his head and wiped away tears.
They didn't speak, but they all knew very well that Catherine chose to confront Franklin because of them!
As the initiator of the Galactic Aurora Collective project, if it weren't for Franklin, they wouldn't have become orphans, displaced, and subjected to countless inhumane tortures and experiments.
Sophia and Venus, the twins, were taken away by illegal means. When they returned home, they found their family had already passed away!
Many members of the Faceless Ones were also failed products of the Galactic Aurora Collective.
Just thinking about the daily electric shocks and large doses of drugs, the forced development of intelligence and physical abilities, was enough to make all the members of the Galactic Aurora Collective shudder!
Franklin believed in the inherent evil of human nature. He wanted to create an army without thoughts and emotions.
It was Catherine who showed them the meaning of life!
Sophia flirtatiously flipped her long hair and smiled, "You are our leader. You call the shots. Our lives are yours to command."
The others didn't speak, but their gazes at Catherine were firm!
Catherine nodded, "Very well. If Franklin wants to take what I have and harm my people, then let's show him who runs the Galactic Aurora Collective now."
"Yes!"
The next morning. At the entrance of Blade of Dusk, several burly men lay unconscious on the ground.
A man with a black eagle tattoo on his face stepped forward, turned over a few bodies, and was stunned!
"Aren't these the thugs Tiberius arranged? Did Ms. Hughes take care of them..."
If that were the case, standing against Emilia would be asking for trouble, wouldn't it?
"Could this be the work of Ms. Hughes?"
"Who would Ms. Hughes know!"
The leader, Inigo, spat out his cigarette butt, crushed it under his foot, and gritted his teeth.
If it weren't for that clueless woman Emilia suddenly showing up, Blade of Dusk would already be his!
"The Hughes are as good as dead. These guys probably messed with someone they shouldn't have at the fight club!"
In underground fight clubs, it was not uncommon to have a few enemies.
Inigo was convinced it had nothing to do with Emilia.
One of his lackeys hesitantly suggested, "Should we ask Ms. Hughes?"
Behind them, Emilia, now dressed in a black suit skirt, had already walked out. She wore a black hat, and her high heels clicked loudly, a stark contrast to when she first arrived!
This aura reminded Inigo of Emilia's mother, who had passed away years ago.
Back then, Inigo and Anthony had to work hard to take her down when she was at her weakest after giving birth.
Inigo felt a slight chill but didn't take Emilia seriously. "Ms. Hughes, where are you going?"
"Taking my mom to see Anthony's execution, to see what it's like when he gets shot." Emilia took out a prepared photo, smiling meaningfully. "I want my mom to know that I won't let any of those who caused her death get away."
Inigo forced a smile, "Do you know these guys?"
Emilia glanced at the men on the ground and sneered. "What? Are these your long-lost sons? They're lying on the ground, and you expect me to know them?"
The veins on Inigo's neck bulged! "Ms. Hughes, with that sharp tongue of yours, you might not be fit to stay at Blade of Dusk."
Emilia bent down to look at Inigo, who was half a head shorter than her, and lowered her voice. "Stop pretending. You think I don't know you arranged this, hoping I'd die in the fight club. Now that they're sent back to you, why aren't you happy?"
"Ms. Hughes, do you have some backing? I'm telling you, as a woman, you should find a man to marry, stay home, and raise kids instead of coming out."
"Shh, look behind you."
Inigo's harsh words were cut short as he followed Emilia's pointing finger.
On a nearby hill stood several people. The woman in front wore a terrifying demon mask, had a great figure, and exuded a powerful aura.
Behind her were a dozen men holding heavy sniper rifles!
Catherine's icy, commanding voice echoed from not far away. "Which one do you want me to take out? You decide."
