Chapter105 The Lowe Family Banquet (Part 3)

Everyone was warm and friendly toward Kristina. Uncle Bob went out of his way to pour her a drink.

"Kristina, it's Isabella's birthday party; you've got to have a drink with us."

Kristina was surprised. Uncle Bob usually paid her no mind, yet here he was offering her a drink personally. She raised an eyebrow, not quite used to the attention.

But with her mother's presence, everyone probably knew where she had been today. After all, she was the future Mrs. Nash—how could they not curry favor with her?

Holding her head high, Kristina sipped her drink while the others gulped theirs down, and no one dared to call her out on it.

Meanwhile, Eula was busy texting Darcy, offering her comfort, oblivious to the shift in the room's atmosphere.

Isabella leaned closer and whispered, "What's keeping you? Look at Kristina, all smug. I just wanted to give her a pinch. But now she's too pleased with herself, and everyone's just fawning over her. It's so annoying."

Eula glanced up and noticed how everyone seemed to be orbiting around Kristina, with some even inquiring about the Nash family.

"If you want to meet Judson, that could be arranged," Kristina was saying, "but he's a man of principle. He won't compromise his standards because of me."

In other words, getting to know him through her was off the table. Family ties were one thing, but business dealings were quite another.

Fernando Lowe interjected coldly, "Don't make this difficult for Kristina. She's only just started seeing the guy, and you're all so eager to make connections. Once she's married into the family, won't you become relatives by extension? What's the rush?"

With a slight smirk, he raised his glass and took a sip.

"My daughter can attract a high-caliber man because she's outstanding herself," he said, casting a sidelong gaze at Eula. That girl was another story—she couldn't hold a candle to Kristina.
Eula sensed her father's disdain, but she ignored it; after all, today's visit was purely for Isabella. She didn't plan on seeing the Lowes again, so swallowing her pride for one day wasn't too much to bear.

Out of the blue, Kristina chimed in, "Isabella, what did your big sister bring you? She's juggling three kids now, probably couldn't afford anything fancy. You understand, right?"

The mother-daughter duo never missed a chance to rub salt in her wounds, always bringing up her kids.

Isabella shot back a glare, "I love whatever my sister gives me!"

"Let's see it then!"

Kristina reached out, hell-bent on embarrassing Eula.

Eula's phone rang, flashing Judson's number; she couldn't afford to ignore it.

As his personal assistant, on call around the clock—which justified her hefty salary—she answered.

"Hello?"

"Where are you?"

His cold voice came through, and with a glance at the dinner table, Eula whispered back.

"Judson, did you need something?"

"Where are you?"

Eula furrowed her brows. This guy, always dodging her questions, just repeating his own.

"I'm at Green Haven."

"Good, I'll come get you. I want dessert tonight, and don't forget, after work, you have to cook and clean for me."

After he hung up, a frown formed on Eula's face.

She still owed him a large amount of money, and her night of servitude was unavoidable, especially since his recent business trip had given her a short respite.

Isabella lifted Eula's gift, "This is from my sister; I'm opening it at home—not gonna spoil the surprise for you guys."
