Chapter 43 Making a Scene
The manager saw her mouth half open in shock and patted her shoulder.
"Eula, work hard! There will also be a year-end bonus at the end of the year. If you satisfy Judson, you can also receive a bonus of several hundred thousand dollars."
Eula was shocked once again and felt extremely dizzy.
Was she really going to reach the pinnacle of her life? Finally, she could give her children a good life.
When she came back to her senses, she vowed that no matter what she had to endure, she would endure it.
Although he was stingy, he treated the employees in the company quite well.
Eula bought some snacks and ingredients and returned home. Mary took the things from her and was surprised when she was organizing them.
"Eula, these ingredients you bought today are all imported. They can't be cheap, right?"
She also bought a lot of snacks. Usually, she had to count every penny when buying even fruits, so what happened today?
Eula and Mary put the groceries in the refrigerator and storage boxes together. She smiled happily.
"Mary, I found a job. The salary is quite high, and we can live comfortably from now on."
She could buy the Barbie doll Angie wanted, and she could also buy the drones that the boys wanted, not to mention the computer they needed.
Good days were about to begin.
Just then, someone rang the doorbell, and Mary went to open the door.
Melissa appeared at the door wearing a fur coat, carrying something in her hand.
The latest handbag caught Mary's attention briefly.
"Does Eula live here?" she asked.
Mary had been watching her the whole time. This person was dressed too ostentatiously. Wasn't she afraid of getting robbed?
"I'm talking to you! Say something!" Melissa said, annoyed.
Melissa noticed that Mary had been continuously staring at her. That look seemed to be envy!
She despised these commoners the most. She couldn't be bothered to talk to them.
Mary didn't really like her and thought that this woman coming to find Eula couldn't be good news.
So, in a cold tone, she replied, "There's no such person here."
Then she pushed Melissa and closed the door.
Melissa was furious. "I know she lives here. Open the door."
She raised her hand and pounded on the wooden door, attracting the attention of nearby people.
Mary went back inside and told Eula.
"There's a woman dressed ostentatiously outside the door. She said she was looking for you. I thought she didn't seem friendly, so I closed the door and left her outside."
Eula stood up. "Who is it?"
She walked out of the house. Hearing Melissa's cursing, Eula turned her head and then grabbed a small bucket, filling it halfway with water.
Instantly, there were screams outside. "Ah! Eula, what are you doing?"
Melissa was drenched from head to toe. Her carefully styled hair was ruined, her makeup running, and her clothes wet. She trembled from the cold.
Eula tightened her grip on the bucket, looking at the person outside.
"Aunt Brewer, I didn't realize it was you. I thought someone came to cause trouble at my house."
She put down the bucket and walked out.
"My house is too small, I'm afraid it can't accommodate such a distinguished person like you. You better go back and change your clothes! It's cold outside, and you might catch a cold."
Melissa sneezed a few times. "You... Eula, I came here to visit you out of the goodness of my heart. Just wait and see what the consequences are."
After saying that, she started crying and making a scene. "Everyone, come and have a look! Eula got pregnant at 18 without knowing who the child's father is. This kind of woman is truly disgusting. Be careful, she's not a good woman."
