Chapter 216 Saving Her Daughter (3)
After receiving the money, Eula carefully counted it. When she heard Darcy's message, she pursed her lips slightly.
Darcy was quite generous, transferring sixty thousand to her.
She sighed; this money was already enough, and she wouldn't let Darcy worry anymore.
Lisa, noticing Eula's phone constantly ringing, asked, "Did you get the money?"
Eula looked up at her, hesitated for a moment, and said, "My friend transferred sixty thousand to me. Combined with my fifty thousand, it's a total of one hundred and ten thousand. Can we leave now?"
There should be a limit to loan sharks, right? Giving them sixty thousand for nothing, it already exceeded the principal.
Lisa raised a finger and gestured, "Eula, you may not understand the rules of our industry. You're not done yet; the amount will increase tomorrow. You better clear it tonight."
She raised an eyebrow and sneered, "Otherwise, your daughter and you will end up feeding the fish in the river."
Eula hesitated at the thought of giving them so much money, but upon hearing that, she had no better option.
She had tried to call the police, but surprisingly, she couldn't get through; they must have tampered with the signal here.
Lisa yawned. "I'll go tell Hubert. I'm tired and still have to deal with your matters; it's really annoying."
With that, she opened the door and left.
Eula glanced at her daughter, who was already asleep. With Angie by her side, her emotions had stabilized.
Now, all she had to do was give them the remaining sixty thousand, negotiate a bit, and she believed they would agree to let them go back.
Her big eyes sparkled as she thought about how to negotiate later!
Soon after, Lisa and several men walked in.
Lisa was extremely tired, yawning continuously.
"Eula, it's almost dawn. If you don't repay the money soon, they'll have to do their job and feed you to the fishes."
Several burly men approached the bed, seemingly ready to take them away.
Eula stopped them. "Wait. I have the sixty thousand here for you, but please let me and Angie go."
Lisa shook her head with a smile. "I said not a penny less."
After that, she raised her chin slightly, signaling them to take action.
Eula raised her voice again, "Wait, I want to talk to Hubert alone."
Lisa's expression changed. "Eula, if you're thinking of using charm, forget about it!"
Her eyes glanced disdainfully at Eula, dressed in a bulky coat, looking repulsive to men.
Hubert belonged to her, Lisa, and no one else should even think about it.
Eula smiled faintly. "With my current appearance, how can I compare to you? So, I don't need any charm, just want to talk to Hubert alone."
Lisa rolled her eyes; Eula was persistent.
She gestured to the burly men to leave.
"I'll go get Hubert for you."
Then the group left the room, and Eula breathed a sigh of relief.
She shook Angie. "Sweetheart, wake up."
Angie opened her eyes, feeling uncomfortable from sleepiness, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Eula, are we going home?"
Eula looked at Angie; at this moment, they could only rely on themselves.
She helped Angie sit up, "Angie, later, hold onto my clothes tightly and stay close to me, okay?"
Seeing Eula's serious expression, Angie nodded vigorously.
Her older brothers had taught her that in dangerous situations, staying calm was crucial, and crying was useless.
Although she had been kidnapped and was scared, crying all the time, she believed that her mommy and brothers would come to rescue her.
Seeing Angie no longer crying and cooperating well, a hint of a smile crossed Eula's face.
"Rest for now. When I call you, quickly get up and hold onto my clothes," Eula said.
