Chapter 15 Judson Nash's Barbie
His body was stiff, causing her pain. She steadied herself by holding onto his shoulder, and their eyes locked.
"How should I punish you? Compound interest? Ha!"
Seeing him like this, Eula Lowe guessed that he had probably had quite a few drinks. No wonder his voice sounded strange on the phone, lacking the usual coldness and instead carrying a hint of warmth.
So he was drunk. She helped him untie his tie. After taking off his tie, the man felt much more comfortable. His eyes looked at her with a teasing smile.
"I drank a bit too much tonight and feel uncomfortable. Can you make some hangover soup?"
Actually, he didn't drink much, just a glass of white wine. He can drink much more than that, but he simply wanted to get a bit drunk.
Eula Lowe understood the intention behind the broken heart. It was probably that.
She blinked her eyes. "Oh, I can make it. But Judson Nash, why did you want me to be your maid?"
It seemed like his house was already cleaned and quite tidy.
Judson Nash gazed deeply at her. This girl was really easy to deceive due to her innocence.
"Clean my bedroom for me, and cook for me. Can you do that?" He didn't allow anyone to enter his bedroom, so even the servants from the Nash family didn't dare to clean his room.
Eula Lowe furrowed her eyebrows. "I can clean the house, but I might not be good at cooking ."
The food she made wasn't delicious; Aunt Mary was usually the one cooking. Aunt Mary's cooking skills were amazing, so Eula Lowe kept her around to avoid disappointing her precious sons with her own cooking.
"It's alright, you can learn. Go make the hangover soup!"
Eula Lowe nodded slightly and went into the kitchen. She really knew how to make hangover soup. Geoffrey Hopkins often had to drink due to social engagements, and Aunt Mary had made it for him a few times, so she learned.
She chopped up a tomato and boiled it in water.
While waiting for the soup, Eula Lowe took out a calculator and calculated. How much salary should she request if the down payment was 56000 dollars?
After thinking for a while, she settled on 4,700. She had looked it up on the internet. Half-day housekeepers only earned a little over 1,500 a month, so 4,700 was considered high.
She carried the hangover soup to the living room and placed it in front of Judson Nash.
"Judson Nash, the soup is ready. Be careful, it's hot!" She kindly reminded him, smiling.
"Judson Nash, is a salary of 4,700 per month acceptable?"
He was drunk now and definitely not clear-minded. As long as he agreed, it would be too late for regrets tomorrow.
Judson Nash sat up straight, holding the spoon about to drink the soup. When he heard her words, he furrowed his brows slightly. This woman still wanted to deceive him.
"2,500 a month. You are already getting 1,000 more than others."
Eula Lowe cursed secretly in her heart. Even when drunk, he was so astute.
She was angry and unwilling, but that's the market price, and she had no right to refuse.
"Alright."
But then she would have to work as a maid here for two years, oh my god! That's too long.
Seeing her dark expression and her cute little frowning face, Judson Nash gave a faint smile.
"Go clean the room, the first one on the second floor."
Eula Lowe went upstairs and entered the first room. It was spacious, with a small study on the outside and a bedroom inside.
She went straight into the bedroom. His room was dark, with black wallpaper and messy black bed sheets.
Eula Lowe decided to start with the bed. When she pulled back the sheets, she saw a beautiful woman hiding inside, of course it was fake.
It looked a lot like Angie's Barbie, only in adult size.
She picked up the woman and walked to the top of the stairs, loudly speaking to the man downstairs.
"Judson Nash, you still play with dolls? She'll look better with clothes on. I'll help you dress her up."
The man who was drinking soup sprayed it out in shock. How could he have forgotten about this?
