Chapter 334 Danger Awaits

Judson hit up Alan to take Mary and the kids to church while he drove Eula over to Mystic Moonlight Alley.

Town was dead today, barely any cars, streets were like a ghost town.

Eula glanced around at the empty streets, feeling like everything was closer than usual.

She turned to check out Judson behind the wheel. He was rocking a sharp black suit and a super formal shirt, looking all serious and stuff.

His legs were long and straight, waist was narrow, and even when he frowned, he looked like he was posing for a magazine cover.

Eula couldn't help but smile, totally smitten.

Judson was driving one-handed, reaching over to hold her hand with the other, their fingers all tangled up. "What you staring at?"

"You're hot!" Eula said, still gazing at him like he was a snack.

Judson flashed a small smile, clearly pleased, and gave her a loving look.

Since she loved staring at him, he let her. He kinda liked it too when her eyes were glued to him.

The whole ride was like that: him driving, holding her hand, and her grinning like a goofball.

When they finally stopped, Judson suddenly turned and planted a kiss on her lips.

She snapped back to reality, letting him kiss her.

After a bit, she pushed him away. "Cut it out, the neighbors all know me here."

She felt super embarrassed.

Judson pinched her delicate face with his long fingers, his eyes lingering on the marks. He'd been too busy getting close to her earlier and had totally forgotten about it.

She'd been hiding it with her hair, and now he remembered, his expression darkening a bit.

"Who did this?" His voice was low and cold, sending shivers down Eula's spine.

She bit her lip. "My dad. He's never liked me since I was a kid, so I'm kinda used to it."

She said it like it was no big deal, then got out of the car.

Judson watched her walk towards the small yard, his eyes filled with pain.

'What kind of life has she lived before? If I had met her earlier, I would have been there for her, always. No one would have dared to bully her with me around,' Thinking this, his expression turned slightly cold.

He knew nothing about her family yet. He needed to talk to her later and meet her family.

She was so beautiful and so lovely!

But her father didn't like her and even hit her. He had to see what kind of person he was.

Judson got out of the car and saw Eula ringing the doorbell, but no one came to open the door, so she took out a key to unlock it.

The door code had been changed, so only the key could open it.

Judson watched her push open the door and walk into the small yard. He quickened his pace towards the yard.

He heard a gunshot, followed by Eula's cry of pain.

Then she shouted, "Judson, don't come in, don't come in."

Judson quickly ran in, bending down to check her leg wound, his brows furrowed tightly.

Eula was terrified. "Judson, there's a masked man."

Judson quickly tore off his tie and tied it around her wound. He heard the sound of bullets flying clearly and rolled with her in his arms.

Eula screamed repeatedly.

She had never experienced such a scene before and was scared out of her wits.

Judson turned his head. His hearing and vision were exceptionally good, honed from his time in training camps.

He was searching for the sniper's position, but the man was hiding.

He pursed his lips slightly. They were both in great danger, and the gunman could be aiming at either of their heads.

Clearly, the man was here to kill Eula.

He shielded her behind him, retreating into the house.
