Chapter 338 He Went Blind

Eula just stood there, totally stunned. "What's up with Geoffrey?"

Shirley looked like a mess. Normally, she was all glammed up, but now her skin was dull, no makeup, and those dark circles were intense.

She shot Eula a frosty look. "Eula, karma's coming for you."

Geoffrey treated Eula like a queen, but what did he get in return?

The day after Christmas, he went to see her, came back all moody, had a blowout with Shirley, and then bam, car accident that night.

Shirley turned and headed towards the inpatient department, and Eula trailed behind. "Shirley, spill it, what happened to Geoffrey?"

Shirley ignored her, and Eula followed her all the way to Geoffrey's room. There he was, lying in bed, rocking a white hospital gown.

Hearing the noise, he reached out, feeling around. "Who's there?"

"It's me," Shirley said, her eyes brimming with pain and tears.

Eula realized Geoffrey was blind. She rushed to his side and waved her hand in front of his eyes.

But nothing. No reaction at all.

Shirley snapped, "Quit it, he's blind."

A servant nearby was setting up breakfast on a small table by the bed. "Mr. Hopkins, breakfast time."

Eula was still in shock. "Geoffrey, how did this happen? Your eyes."

Hearing Eula's voice, Geoffrey suddenly smiled, his face lighting up like sunshine.

"Eula, you're here. I'm fine, just had a car accident, and now my eyes are like this." He patted the bed. "Sit down."

Seeing him still smiling, Eula's heart ached. "Geoffrey, how did the car accident happen?"

His family's driver was known for being super careful, definitely not the type to get into an accident.

How could this happen?

"An accident, hard to explain." Geoffrey's handsome face still had that sunny smile, like he didn't care. His attitude was something else.

Eula knew he was the type who wouldn't show his pain, no matter how much he was hurting.

He always seemed like he could handle anything.

Shirley sat on the sofa nearby, peeling an apple. She snorted, "It's all because of you. He was in a bad mood, went out drinking, drove drunk, and then had the accident."

Thinking about Eula made her angry, and now Geoffrey was in trouble because of her.

Tears kept falling, and Eula could see how upset she was. She pressed her lips together.

But Geoffrey spoke up, "Mom, how can you say that? It's my own fault, it has nothing to do with Eula."

Shirley wiped her tears. "Geoffrey, why are you still defending her? She made you miserable. I've told you, don't get involved with her, she'll only bring you harm. What are you gonna do now?"

The room went silent again, with only Shirley's sobs and Geoffrey's sighs.

Seeing Geoffrey like this made Eula feel awful too.

First Judson, now Geoffrey. This year had been a nightmare. She felt like she was a walking bad luck charm.

Geoffrey tucked in his blanket. "I need to sleep for a while, you all should leave!"

He was clearly in a bad mood. The old Geoffrey had a great personality, always warm and approachable.

Now, he still looked sunny and warm on the outside, but he had changed. He couldn't see, and his mood was off.

Just then, Eula's phone rang. It was Judson.

She quickly answered, "Hello."

"Why have you been gone so long? Didn't get the report? Come back." His voice was low and cold. Lately, Judson's clinginess was getting obvious.

Eula replied, "I'll be back right away."

Just then, Geoffrey fell off the bed.

"Geoffrey, are you hurt?"
