Chapter 460 I Only Listen to My Girlfriend

After a long while, the phone was answered.

"Hello."

Geoffrey's voice came through, and Eula could recognize it.

"Geoffrey, I'm at the door. Could you have the maid open it for me?"

Shirley had mentioned that there was originally a maid in the villa for cleaning, and now she was the only one taking care of Geoffrey.

"Eula, didn't you say you wouldn't come to see me again? Just leave!" Geoffrey replied.

Seeing that he was about to hang up, Eula quickly stopped him. "Geoffrey, I drove a long way to get here, and I'm really thirsty. Can you let me in for a glass of water?"

She sounded pitiful, and Geoffrey hesitated for a moment before hanging up.

After a short while, the door opened. Eula entered through the small gate, passing through the yard. The small yard had a rock garden and a small fish pond, which seemed to be a spring.

The small yard was quite vintage, with a large tree that would take two people holding hands to encircle its trunk. This tree must be a hundred years old.

Inside the house, a young girl dressed in a black maid's uniform stood at the entrance.

Eula knew this was the uniform worn by the Hopkins family maids. The girl nodded slightly at her. "Ms. Lowe, Mr. Hopkins asked me to wait here for you and to ask you to leave after you have your drink."

The young maid looked very young, probably only seventeen or eighteen, with two small ponytails and pouty lips, very cute.

Eula handed her the items she was holding. "These are ravioli I made at home. Mr. Hopkins likes them."

The young maid took them. "Thank you, Ms. Lowe!"

She took the items to the kitchen, and Eula wandered around the living room. The living room was large and decorated in a country style.

The young maid came out with a tray, knelt by the coffee table, and poured tea from a delicate teapot into a cup.

"Ms. Lowe, please have some tea."

Eula looked at the tea set, which was clearly antique and very valuable.

When she was with the Lowe family, David liked these things, so she knew a bit about them.

She picked up the cup and took a sip of tea. It was very sweet, perhaps because of the water. The tea had a natural sweetness.

She couldn't help but take another sip, then glanced upstairs.

"How are his eyes?" Eula asked.

A flash of panic crossed the young maid's eyes, and she shook her head. "Not very good."

Thinking of Geoffrey's condition, she felt it was not good at all.

Eula put down the cup. "Let me see him."

The young maid quickly stood up. "Ms. Lowe, no, Mr. Hopkins said he wouldn't see anyone. He only asked me to make tea for you and to ask you to leave after you drink it."

Seeing the young maid's panicked expression, Eula didn't want to make things difficult for her.

So she called out loudly, "Geoffrey, I want to see you. It has nothing to do with this young lady, so don't blame her."

After saying that, she got up and walked upstairs. The young maid quickly followed. "Ms. Lowe, please leave!"

Eula reached the second floor and searched room by room until she found Geoffrey standing by the window in the innermost room. He was wearing loungewear, with his back to her.

She could clearly feel that he had lost weight. He must not have been eating well during this time.

"Geoffrey," Eula called out to him, her voice tinged with concern.

He had been so strong before, and now he was so thin.

Eula quickly walked in and pulled him around. His calm face appeared.

Because he was so thin, his face looked even more chiseled, with a sharp chin, but his eyes were dull and lifeless.

"Geoffrey, from now on, I'll come every day. You must eat well and cooperate with the doctor to treat your eyes. Do you hear me?" Her voice was urgent and tinged with anger.

Geoffrey slightly curled his lips. "Eula, what right do you have to meddle in my affairs? Why should I listen to you?"
