Chapter 243 Fooled Again
Judson glanced at Eula as he thought inwardly, ’She looked beautiful today!’
Jessica took Eula to a socialite party, and naturally, she had to dress up; Eula had never seen herself in this hairstyle and makeup before, and she looked especially beautiful.
Judson was originally checking emails on his phone, but then he opened the camera and secretly took a few photos, looking at the Eula on his phone; there was a certain difference from the real Eula.
Eula in the photos was not as beautiful as the real Eula at all.
After that and seeing that Judson was still busy with his phone, Eula, with her good temper, asked again, "Mr. Nash, can you tell me where Mr. Hicks is now? My friend is looking for him."
It was only then that Judson raised his head and raised an eyebrow. "He went back to the base. Hugo and I sent him off on the plane two hours ago."
Upon hearing this, Eula's face turned pale. She thought, 'How about just have Darcy go straight to the base to find Elbert? As long as she can see him, she should be able to figure something out.'
With that, she asked, "Where is the base?"
Judson chuckled. "It's a military base; no one knows where it is; it's a national secret."
Eula was completely confused. "A national secret? Does that mean no one can find him?"
Sure enough, Elbert had escaped, and Darcy still believed in him so much, just letting him take advantage.
Thinking about this, Eula got angry.
"Elbert's job is very special; it's a high-risk profession that requires high confidentiality. As long as he doesn't come back, we will be in a state of disconnection from him. Even when his grandfather passed away last year, there was no way to inform him," added Judson.
Eula bit her lip, feeling extremely irritated. "Elbert, jerk."
After cursing, Eula walked back to her desk, packed up her things, put on her coat, and said to Judson, "Mr. Nash, I have something to attend to; I'm leaving."
Not in a tone of asking for leave but more like informing Judson.
Judson coldly said, "Ms. Lowe, it's not the end of the workday yet. If you leave now, it will be considered as absenteeism."
Just as Eula's hand gripped the door handle, ready to push the door open and leave, she heard this. She hesitated for a minute, then ignored it.
Anyway, she was now a rich woman, with over five hundred thousand dollars in her account, and she didn't care about losing a day's pay.
Judson didn't expect that Eula would not be afraid of being absent from work or losing money.
Eula entered the elevator, then called Darcy again, and after a while, Darcy finally answered. "Eula."
"Darcy, you don't need to call Elbert anymore. He's back at the base, and no one knows the address of this base."
Upon hearing this, Darcy lost control of her emotions. "Elbert, jerk."
Then Darcy cried softly, very sad and pitiful.
"Darcy, where are you? I'll come pick you up," said Eula.
At this moment, Darcy needed someone to accompany her the most; Eula had to go and comfort her.
Darcy answered, "I'm in apartment 2202 at Lillian Stewart."
Eula noted it down. "Wait for me."
Over an hour later, Eula rang the doorbell at 2202.
Darcy opened the door, still in her pajamas, pale and haggard.
Eula followed Darcy inside, and took a look around the apartment, it was quite spacious, over two thousand square feet, decorated in a simple style that military personnel would like.
Darcy sat on the sofa, wiping her nose with a tissue.
"Are you catching a cold?" asked Eula.
Darcy thought of last night, making love on the terrace in such cold weather; she was almost naked; she must have caught a cold. "It seems like it."
Eula bent down and touched Darcy's forehead. "No fever, that's good. Is there any medicine here?"
Darcy pointed under the TV cabinet. "There's a medicine box there; there should be medicine inside."
Last time, when her knees were bruised, Elbert took medicine from there to apply to her.
Thinking of all this, Darcy felt a headache; she and Elbert had really taken everything to the extreme. Shameless, following Elbert's requests, they had done everything.
