Chapter 253 Both Like Eula
In the private room of Ash and Dine.
Geoffrey and Judson sat at the table, their assistants beside them. The two assistants watched their bosses glare at each other with cold, unfeeling eyes and both sighed, rubbing their foreheads.
The two assistants stood up simultaneously, raising their glasses.
"Mr. Hopkins, I toast to you."
"Mr. Nash, I toast to you."
Judson cast a fleeting glance at Geoffrey's assistant, Brian Ingram, while Geoffrey did the same with Myles. Neither of them acknowledged the toast.
Myles and Brian felt a bit awkward, so they clinked glasses and drank.
After sitting down, neither dared to make any rash moves.
They could only look at each other.
They had never felt so powerless before. To have made it to Geoffrey and Judson's side, their public relations skills were certainly of a high standard.
But in the face of Geoffrey and Judson, they were instantly outmatched.
Geoffrey spoke. "Mr. Nash, weren't we supposed to discuss the land in the east of the city? Have you decided to cede it to me?" He wore a faint smile, appearing amicable.
But every word carried an invisible sting, a perfect example of appearing friendly on the outside, but inside extremely cunning and ruthless.
Judson's eyes remained cold. "I can give you that plot; it's insignificant to me. But Eula is my woman, and you are not to approach her again."
Judson's thoughts were clear. The land could be given up, but not the woman.
Upon hearing this, Geoffrey's smile gradually faded, replaced by a chilling expression.
"Mr. Nash, you might not know, but I've known Eula for five years. I've been pursuing her all this time, and she's considering becoming my girlfriend. Feelings can't be forced. She doesn't like your type, with your philandering ways."
Geoffrey was confident in his understanding of Eula. She was a simple girl who wouldn't fall for a playboy.
Judson had got not only Kristina but also Sandra.
It was said that he still pined for another woman he had been searching for all these years. Eula would never like such a man.
Even if Eula were tempted, he would pull her back, away from this scoundrel.
Judson suddenly laughed. "Mr. Hopkins, you're too arrogant. Do you truly believe you know her well? Perhaps you don't know that after you sent her flowers to the office today, she kissed me and said she likes my type."
With that, Judson poured himself a glass of wine, squinting in satisfaction as he drank.
He turned to Myles. "Is the contract ready? Show it to Geoffrey. As long as he signs, the land in the east of the city is his."
Myles pushed the contract in front of Geoffrey. Besides the standard agreement, there was an additional clause.
The clause read, "Geoffrey would automatically give up the right to pursue Eula, never see her again, and not contact her."
Upon reading this, Geoffrey tore up the contract.
"Judson, you're dreaming. The land in the east isn't necessary for the Hopkins family; we have other projects. As for Eula, I will never let her go."
With that, he stood up, and Brian quickly followed.
"Mr. Nash, we are leaving. Myles, goodbye!" Brian said.
Geoffrey gave him a cold look. "Avoid any further discourse with these guys. Let's go!"
They left, slamming the door behind them.
Myles glanced at Judson, who was happily drinking.
He couldn't help but admire him. When it came to infuriating others, no one was better than Judson.
Thinking of Geoffrey's expression just now, Judson knew that he was truly furious. Perhaps Geoffrey had never kissed Eula?
It was pure jealousy!
Judson poured another glass and looked at Myles. "Myles, have you been dating anyone recently?"
Myles had a girlfriend before but broke up. Now in his thirties and still single, he seemed a bit pitiful.
