Chapter 244 His Sweater
Eula took some cold medicine for Darcy and sat before her. "Have the medicine first."
Darcy picked up the cup and took a sip. She raised her tear-stained eyes and looked at Eula. "Am I particularly stupid, being deceived by men time and time again?"
Tony made her believe in love, then paid with her own lifetime.
Originally, Darcy thought as long as she didn't fall in love, she wouldn't get hurt again. Unexpectedly, she was deceived again.
It was agreed that Elbert would give bone marrow to Estelle a month later, but he actually ran away.
Eula sat beside Darcy, reached out, and hugged her shoulder. "If I were you, I would be just as foolish because of Angie."
After all, the child was the most important thing for the two women, and they were willing to do anything for the child.
Eula knew that Darcy just wanted Estelle to live, not to die, so she begged Elbert humbly to fulfill him.
Eula thought Elbert was quite upright, but she didn't expect him to run away.
Darcy had the medicine with somewhat vacant eyes. By the time she put down the cup, she had rallied.
For the past few hours, Darcy had been trying to contact Elbert, but no matter how she messaged or called, she had not received a response.
Upon hearing Eula's words, Darcy knew that even if she continued to try, Elbert wouldn't answer.
Elbert was intentionally not responding to her.
Darcy said, "I'm going to the hospital to see Estelle. I'll tell her she'll get better soon, and she will be happy for a long time. If she knows she can't have the surgery for now, she will be very disappointed. I have to go to the hospital, talk to them again, and find new bone marrow."
Eula looked at Darcy's pale face and frail body. She felt sorry; just moments ago, she was so miserable and sad.
But in just a moment, Darcy seemed to be fine again, as strong as a female warrior.
Eula sighed deeply. Darcy was just like her, raising a child alone without any support. But if they weren't strong, what would happen to the child?
Darcy went inside to change clothes, and Eula walked to the French window.
Eula had already seen the property deed and centurion card on the table, which Elbert had given to Darcy.
But for Darcy, money wasn't the most important thing now; the most important thing was the bone marrow.
Eula called Judson; the first time Judson didn't answer. Eula knew Judson's temper; if she left like this, he would definitely be angry.
So Eula called again, and this time Judson answered, his voice very cold. "What's the matter?"
Eula could tell Judson was in the car, probably on his way home. "Mr. Nash, I want to beg you, if you can contact Elbert, to tell him that Darcy is heartbroken because he left. Estelle is very important for Darcy, just like my kids for me. If Estelle dies, Darcy won't be able to live."
This was the truth, but Eula also wanted to scare Elbert a bit.
Perhaps when Elbert came back next time, he wouldn't see Darcy again. Since he had sex with Darcy, he should like Darcy quite a bit.
Judson furrowed his brows slightly. He could fully understand Eula's love for the three children.
In comparison, Judson could understand that without Estelle, Darcy wouldn't have a reason to live. He said, "Alright, if I can reach him, I'll pass on your message."
Eula was very excited to hear this. "Mr. Nash, thank you!"
Indeed, he was the man she liked. Judson was really nice, not at all bad.
Judson heard Eula laugh, and his mood improved a lot. "Eula, when will my sweater be finished? Winter is almost over."
Eula had long forgotten about knitting the sweater; she stuck out her tongue. "Then I'll speed up; when is your birthday?"
